Archim Calixis

sCnBjIi.jpg

NAME: Archim Calixis
FACTION: Metal Lords | Confederacy of Independent Systems
RANK: Viceroy of the Zhar Territory, Lord and Chief Hierarchitect of the Mechanicum, Technomancer Acolyte
SPECIES: Iskalloni (Cyborg)
AGE: 867
SEX: Male
HEIGHT: 1.6 meters
WEIGHT: 125 kg
EYES: Cybernetic
HAIR: None
SKIN: Pale Blue
FORCE SENSITIVE: No

STRENGTHS
  • Resilient Frame: Not only does Archim possess an outer shell of cybernetic enhancements and replacements composed of a variety of extremely durable materials, his native species possesses a natural resistance to energy fire.
  • Moderate Views: While most Iskalloni are xenophobic to an extreme, viewing other species as inherently inferior and making a regular habit of enslaving those they come across or harvesting them for parts, Archim views most biologics as he calls them as more spiritually misguided than outright inferior. A conscientious objector to most of his people's practices in theory, in reality the engineer spends very little time dwelling on his race's dark reputation.
WEAKNESSES
  • Cut off From the Overmind: While the Iskalloni don't possess a hive mind as such but more a central nexus of shared thought, over the centuries Archim has come to view such diffusions of perspective as unnecessary distractions from his work. Taking steps to artificially sever his consciousness from its innate contact with his fellow Iskallons, Archim has not seen or heard from his people in many, many years. While he tends not to dwell, there are the occasional periods of somber reflection upon the culture he lost, and a nagging sense of loneliness.
  • Amoral Inventor: Dedicated to science and engineering above all other things, Archim is enthralled by his own ability to create no matter what the project, and believes it is his duty to do so, no matter the end goal or potential for misuse. He possesses very little qualms over who he works for, and views politics and galactic ideologies as more or less trivial irrelevancies.
  • Eccentric: Odd even by his own species' standards, Calixis often exhibits either profound ignorance or otherwise basic disregard towards many widely cross-applicable humanoid customs, and traditions of the intergalactic community at large. He can be extremely difficult to work, get along, or basically be in the same room with for an extended period of time.

APPEARANCE

Once many centuries ago aspects of Archim's biologic origins remained evident, but now virtually every part of the naturally receptive Iskalloni that could be replaced by a synthetic component, has been. Looking much more like some haphazard combination of antique droid chassis, top of the line cybernetic processors are implanted not too far from centuries old prosthetic replacements. Perhaps the cyborg's most defining features is his tendency to change those features often and at a whim, as even so long into the prolonged creature's life he continues to implant upgrades and replacements for failing parts.
