WEIGHT: 75 kg

STRENGTHS
  • Swoop Biker: Mynock has been riding swoop bikes for years, ever since his time covering the culture. Now he's gone full native, wearing Hellions colors and sporting the gang's trademark vibroblade. He isn't a trained fighter, but a lifetime of cantina brawls have honed him into something nearly as deadly.
  • Connected: Known throughout the Outer Rim not just for his journalism, Dubrillion always knows a guy who knows a guy. He's been all over the rim, there is hardly anything in wild space that surprises him anymore. Sometimes his connections aren't positive ones, but he is never lost for long.
WEAKNESSES
  • Dazed and Confused: Mynock started into the hard stuff when he was still just a teenager, and has spent over a decade upping the ante. There is quite possibly not a single narcotic substance in this galaxy that the biker hasn't tried. This makes him particularly susceptible to mind tricks, among other things.
  • Wild Card: A laundry list of character defects and and his rampant spice addiction make any evening spent in Dubrillion's company something of a lottery. He thrives in chaos, equally as contemptible of Republican decency values as he is of rigid Imperial social orders. Mynock believes more than anything else that freedom is meant to be used, for better or worse.

APPEARANCE

Despite his aggressively shabby presentation, in some circles Mynock is known as a minor fashion icon of the Outer Rim. A thin little bearded man, he has no one specific uniform. Seen in everything from extravagant, intentionally gaudy suits to tropical casual wear, Dubrillion holds very little regard for local custom pertaining to matters of dress. He is most known for what many have commented on as haunting eyes that belie his boisterous personal nature.

BIOGRAPHY

Mynock was born, not on Dubrillion, but on the comet Resh 9376. Growing up hand to mouth in the backalleys of Resh's shadowport, Point Nadir, as a young boy he lived hand to mouth. The son of two junkie con artists, it was not long before he was out on the streets surviving entirely on his own means. Intelligent beyond his station, he turned to tech as a way to avoid falling in with one of the station's many gangs, earning some small time notoriety as a slicer even at such a young age.

As soon as he had earned enough credits to risk hiring passage on a ship headed anywhere else, Mynock ended up a free man albeit penniless on the shores of majestic Dubrillion. Working odd jobs there and on neighboring Destrillion for several years before he had saved back up enough to book more legitimate passage into the Core for new opportunities, the young man would later incorporate this paradise world into his nom de plume.

Eventually Mynock settled on Coruscant, not only for its cultural significance and boundless opportunities, but primarily because of Galactic City's prestigious state sponsored learning institutions. He pursued his higher education at the University of Coruscant, initially pursuing an advanced degree in computer science. After living in the Core for a few years and feeling the disconnect between life there in how things were in the Outer Rim, he fell in with a crowd of intellectual thinkers and began writing for the Coruscant University Press, where he would use the surname Dubrillion for the first time.

Recognized as a powerful writer even when he was still a student, Mynock shifted focus from technology to media communications, before dropping out entirely just months before officially earning his degree to pursue a career in freelance journalism. Since then he has written for a variety of publications, first as a stringer for the Galaxy News Service before contributing to some HoloNet News broadcasts as a shadow writer. He was making a living, but Dubrillion did not earn widespread recognition for his work and notoriety until his first editorial column was distributed as a pirate broadcast through the entirely independent NewsNet conglomerate.

He is often remarked upon for his iconoclastic style of gonzo journalism, written without any pretense towards objectivity and often inserting himself into the story as a part of a first person narrative. Over the years, some of Mynock's most famous pieces include his coverage as an embedded reporter within the Dark Star Hellions swoop gang, his whirlwind tour of the galactic pod racing circuit, and frantic memoirs recalling a week long spice induced bender across Nar Shaddaa.

Currently Dubrillion is retired from journalism, riding now full time with the Dark Star Hellions.
