- Exar Kun: The ship features two XR-01 cannons mounted behind the bridge on a fixed mount.
- Gunboat: The Archwing class is designed to be a gunboat pure and simple.
- Agile: Not a very fast ship, the Archwing can still turn relatively fast for a ship of its size, allowing it to line up shots with the XR cannon easier
- Defense: The point defense turrets provide excellent defense against incoming missiles against both it and nearby ships
- System Spread: Vital systems are spread about the ship, in an attempt to prevent the ships being destroyed in a single shot.
- No Fighters: The Archwing is incapable of launching fighters of its own.
- Heat Arrays: The heat arrays are a notable weakpoint that can cripple its main cannon.
- Slow: The Archwing takes a long time to get into position.
After the Battle of Eshan, Voph remained within CIS space, and sought to consolidate his forces under a single banner. No longer seeking to champion a wide-reaching force, Voph instead turned his focus to a single target: The marauders responsible for the devastation on Eshan. Voph surrendered control of his forces to the Confederacy, and took a temporary position as Fleet Marshal as he prepared his small navy to become a fearsome xeno-hunting task force.
The Archwing is the Demon's bigger (and meaner) brother. Designed to serve as an anti-capital vessel, the Archwing is loaded with the guns required to fire on opposing vessels at range, while reinforcing the battlegroup cluster. Their Point Defense turrets can fend off missile attacks made against both them and the other ships, and a host of anti-fighter turrets can fend off incoming fighter swarms.
