Personality:

Veyrannis is defined by his aristocratic upbringing, which instilled in him a love for discipline, elegance, and honour. He speaks in a formal, high-class manner, his tone calm and deliberate, even in moments of conflict. This refined demeanour extends to his worldview, where he holds himself and others to exacting standards of conduct. He has a very strange habit of judging "good" and "bad" form.

To Veyrannis, "bad form" includes anything less than honourable combat or uncivilized behaviour, whether it be betrayal, dishonesty, or poor manners. His sense of honour often puts him at odds with his Sith peers, whom he views as brutish and unsophisticated. Though this strict moral compass frustrates him, he cannot abandon it, as it is a core part of his identity. To Veyrannis, "good form" begins with civility and honour in personal interactions. He believes that individuals should act with dignity and treat others with respect, even in adversarial relationships. For him, etiquette isn't merely a social construct but a marker of discipline and refinement.

This concept extends to duelling. He views "good form" as adherence to skill, discipline, and elegance. He reveres the art of duelling, seeing it as a noble contest where mastery of the blade reflects one's character. For Veyrannis, a proper duel is a test of ability, not a chaotic brawl.

However, he finds himself bound to this. While Veyrannis' dedication to "good form" defines him, it also frustrates him deeply. He is acutely aware that his values often hinder his ambitions within the Sith Order, making him appear soft or predictable. However, he cannot abandon them, as they are integral to his identity. This internal conflict leaves him bitter and annoyed at himself, especially when his principles cost him opportunities for power or revenge.

Abilities:

He prides himself on his skill with a lightsaber. He is a duellist to its truest degree, utilising Form II - Makashi, while incorporating elements of Form V - Djem So.

While he is rather low when it comes to abilities traditionally associated with the Sith, he is a highly skilled user of Force Augmentation, using it with great effect. Additionally, he is rather adept at telekinesis and tutaminis.

Stengths:

  • Skilled duelist - Highly skilled in the use of Form II and Form V of lightsaber combat. He is a deadly opponent in a duel, honing his craft whenever possible.
  • Social and Tactical genius - He is a gifted strategist, capable of reading opponents and adapting his tactics mid-battle. This intelligence makes him deadly in both combat and larger conflicts, such as military engagements or Sith politics.
  • Code of Honour - While rare among Sith, Veyrannis' adherence to honour and "good form" earns him respect, even from adversaries. His unwillingness to stoop to treachery or cruelty often surprises opponents who expect Sith to be ruthless. As a result, he is trustworthy to a degree, always upholding his end of an agreement.
  • Willpower - Despite his struggles with meaning, Valtherion possesses an indomitable will. He cannot be easily manipulated or broken, as he defines himself by his discipline and ideals rather than external validation.

Weaknesses:

  • Rigid ideology - His strict adherence to "good form" limits his flexibility. He refuses to use dishonourable tactics or "cheap" strategies, even when such methods could ensure victory.
  • Raw power - While his Force abilities are precise, they lack the overwhelming, destructive power that many Sith prefer. Against opponents who rely on sheer Force might (e.g., Force storms or devastating telekinetic attacks), he can be at a disadvantage.
  • Duelling Specialty - His specialization in lightsaber combat makes him vulnerable in situations where lightsabers are ineffective or where non-combat tactics are required. In battles against multiple opponents or against those who excel in ranged combat, his focus on duelling can leave him exposed.
  • Difference to the Sith - His honourable demeanour and disdain for typical Sith treachery isolate him from his peers, making him a frequent target of plots and distrust within the Sith Order. This isolation leaves him vulnerable politically.
Background:

He was born to an aristocratic family on the world of Chandrila, a planet where politics and debates are a common occurance on every day life. He was raised by his family in a strict and traditionalist way, being taught to adhere to "good form" and admonish "bad form". He was taught politics, art, etiquette, etc. anything that would be appropriate for one of his standing.

One day, he was found to be force sensitive, and found by a wandering Sith who recruited him. He made his way through the trials through his skill with a blade nearly alone. He became an apprentice to the Sith that recruited him, and on one mission, faced a Jedi Padawan. He lost their duel and lost his left arm in the process. From that point on, he wished to take revenge on that Jedi.

However, after years of waiting, he discovers that Padawan left the order upon becoming a Knight. He had no idea where he could have gone, so now his one chance at his goal in life was gone. Now, he feels he lacks a purpose, but continues to serve the Sith until he has one. Despite his training, he never bothered attempting to climb the ranks of the Sith hierarchy, remaining a Lord without a "Darth" title to this day.
