STRENGTHS
- Fortress: The Ardasa Class Star Destroyer is designed to be a single ship combat fleet, able to operate within deep space for months, or even years at a time, without seeing any friendly vessels for support or resupply. Heavily armed, extensively armored, the Ardasa Class is able to engage entire formations of enemy vessels and fight its way free, or potentially even route larger formations of foes.
- Void Prison: The Ardasa Class is designed with void stones placed throughout the superstructure of the vessel, particularly around the holding cells of the vessel. Force Sensitive prisoners held aboard an Ardasa Class vessel will find their force abilities severely limited, or potentially even nullified depending on their own strength and connection to the Force.
- Hangar: To make room for the extensive prisoner facilities aboard the Ardasa Class, it cut down the number of hangars it has available, severely limiting its starfighter compliment. On top of this, the majority of the space remaining is used for support craft to facility prisoner transport and other related functions, leading to having only a single squadron of starfighters on board to support the vessels defensive guns.
- Void Prison: While an ideal location to hold Force Sensitive prisoners, the nature of the Ardasa Class means that any Force users stationed aboard to oversee the prison will find themselves similarly hindered in their abilities. As such, the crew is almost entirely absent of Force Sensitive individuals itself, and should the void stones fail for any reason, the prisoners held within could potentially use their abilities to overwhelm the crew.
Darth Acharon was not expecting the arrival of Qual'al-Selim to his quarters on Ailara. Despite the initial fear of the unexpected arrival of the Lords of the Sith spymaster, the mission the spider gave to Acharon alleviated his concerns, at least temporarily. For the purposes of the Lords of the Sith, Acharon was tasked with designing and producing a small fleet of Star Destroyers designed for a single purpose. To house, transport, and deal with the prisoners of the Lords of the Sith. The decision to produce ships rather than planetary prisons, as explained to Acharon, was to prevent future prisoners being able to so easily escape, and to prevent outsiders from finding and interfering in the spiders efforts. The Ardasa Class was the eventual product of this mission.
