SPECIAL FEATURES

• Whenever the bracelet is closed around the appendage of a biological being or creature, the bioscanner triggers a small electrical charge to pass through the Absencite within the device to create a small Force suppression field around the wearer. While within the field, the wearer cannot access the Force but on the other hand, Force powers have a difficult time affecting them as well and they become much harder to sense through the Force.
• Whenever the bioscanner and the Absencite are active, it also engages a magnacuff feature to ensure the device cannot be removed unless a certain pre-programmed frequency is issued to it, or a certain fingerprint is placed on the biometric scanner.
• If not being used as a Force suppression device, the armlet also is a stylish and sleek chronometer that connects with local Holonet receivers for an accurate time reading on the user's local.

STRENGTHS

• While worn by an organic being or creature, the armlet creates a localized Force suppression field around the user. This gives them the same protection that being within close proximity to void stone does against Force-based attacks and mentalism.
• The device is made out of impervium and cortosis, making it extremely protected against wear and tear, along with energy and kinetic attacks or even from lightsaber strikes.
• The Aredian also acts as a sleek and stylish chronometer to help the user tell time in whatever local environment or system that they find themselves in. The Aredian also comes in several other colors, depending on the wearer's preference.

WEAKNESSES

• While the wearer is highly protected from Force-based attacks, the suppression field works both ways. The user cannot access their own Force powers if they are Force Sensitive. Coincidentally, this also makes the armlet an effective tool for keeping captured enemy Force users from utilizing their abilities.
• A skilled slicer would have no difficulty in breaking through the bioscanner on the device and deactivating it and the magnacuff components that keep the armlet on the wearer if they are an enemy.
• While in deep space or hyperspace, the Aredian's timekeeping components can fall behind and won't resync until the user enters a star system.

DESCRIPTION

Developed by Aurora Industries under a new initiative known as the Emrys Program to develop new equipment for the company, the first product they would develop would be the Aredian Armlet. Originally conceived as protection against Force users, the small bracelet-like device was created out of impervium and cortosis with a core of the company's proprietary void stone derivative known as Absencite that was connected to a bioscanner. Whenever a user wore the device, as long as they were organic, the bioscanner would trigger a small electrical charge to be passed through the Absencite to create a localized Force suppression field around the wearer. This field would provide protection against Force-based attacks along with making the user highly difficult to detect through Force Sense abilities.

However, upon development, the design team realized the device could also be useful in keeping captured Force users docile as the armlet meant the wearer could not access their own Force abilities while wearing it. To help facilitate this side of the device, magnacuff components were added that would only unlock whenever a pre-programmed frequency was sent to the armlet or if a certain fingerprint was pressed against the biometric scanner on the armlet.

As a nod to the company's need for versatility, the Aredian also acts as chronometer in a sleek and stylish package that comes in multiple colors for the wearer's preference.
