HISTORY

Argen grew up as the eldest of two children born to Amaya and Gorten Vance on Byss. They were an upper-middle class family with a long heritage of military service. They could trace their lineage all the way back to officers who served under Palpatine’s Empire after the Clone Wars. They felt significant pride in this history, and members of the family had found ways and means of enlisting into similar service ever since.

Argen was no exception, raised as he was on tales of a glorious past that was taken from the family and from the galaxy. When he was old enough, he signed on to serve with the Empire, believing the Galactic Alliance to be weak, and its citizens listless.

He was an intelligent and physically capable young man whose only real weakness was his appetites. Whether it was beautiful women or good drink, he could get himself into trouble by indulging.

His familiarity with social functions and the elite side of life made him a suitable infiltrator. Whether sitting in mud with a sniper rifle, or mixing with politicians and corporates at a party, Argen was equally deft. Soon, he was promoted within the Naval Intelligence branch and ascended to his own command within Navy Special Operations.

During his additional training for special operations within Naval Intelligence, Argen became a formidable close quarters combat expert, able to take out most targets with his bare hands in short order. He felt this was a necessary training focus to account for the fact that he might not be armed during certain clandestine infiltration missions. He ended up having a great aptitude for martial arts, and continues to practice both unarmed CQC and with a variety of melee weapons, as much for fun as for his profession.

He is currently a Captain in Naval Intelligence, working as a Naval ISB Liaison. His role is to coordinate military intelligence operations with ISB operatives as needed for missions that have an overlap concerning both groups.

Some call The Empire an Empire of the Lost, now. But Argen knows it is the Galaxy which is truly Lost. They need the guiding hand which only the Empire can provide.
