AGE:
28
ALSO KNOWN AS:
Lord of Enmity (Sith Empire domain) - rarely used
Darth Aisa (moniker) - rarely used
TIES:
The Silver Jedi Order - strong ties, left behind
The Primeval - some ties, though she doesn't follow the faith
The Sith Empire - some ties, skeptical of strong investment
Connor Harrison (teacher as a Jedi) - strong ties, walked away
Matsu Xiangu (teacher as a Sith) - strong ties, still close
Kaalia Voldaren - totally bffs
Vaylin (student) - strong ties, very close
Darth Ophidia - mental link unbeknownst to Aria
APPEARANCE:
Petite, slender, with brown hair and pale skin. Eyes that were once blueish grey turned amber with Darkside corruption, but otherwise the Dark has not altered her appearance. Her aura is strongly that of a Sith Lord and she won't hide it when it's not necessary - otherwise Aria does not stand out immediately if she doesn't want to, and more often than not she doesn't. Most often she gives off the appearance of being distant, detached, like she's in another world, even like she's slept little lately. Besides this she maintains a sharply well-groomed appearance.

  • She's a fighter to the last.
  • Aria knows how to draw from pain.
  • Fiercely independent.
  • Years of training made her a worthy opponent in physical combat.

byron.regular.png

  • Known to make rash decisions. Sometimes it works. Sometimes not.
  • Her moments of true rage are rare but explosive.
  • Outside of a fairly small group of close friends, Aria's loyalty is highly conditional.
  • She needs a very good reason to betray loyalty once it's earned.
byron.regular.png

  • Mentalism will never be her strong suit.
  • Nor will piloting.
  • She has a bunch of voices and an extra pair of eyes planted in her head. You can imagine the distraction.
  • She's much more hesitant about her evildoing these days. Well, a little, anyway.
byron.regular.png

  • Focuses | Telekinesis, fireshaping
  • Deficits | Mentalism, sorcery
  • In between | Lightsaber combat, barriers
  • Other | Aria is all but incapable of drawing from the Light side of the Force.

Pre-Roleplay:
An unwanted child, Aria was abandoned in the woods and would've died if a travelling Jedi couple hadn't found her and taken her in. She was raised proudly Echani, although the clear distinction between her and her people was isolating for what felt like a long time. Her first training in the Force came as a teenager, and this was the first time she was encouraged towards the light actively rather than passively. At eighteen she convinced her parents to let her leave Eshan to train with the Silver Jedi under the premise that she'd see her training through to the end.
Jedi Padawan:
Though Aria would admit to homesickness every now and again, training as a Jedi was a rewarding struggle and fighting for them felt right - she was by all accounts reasonably happy. But nightmares interrupted her happiness; she dreamt for days on end of her foster parents' death until she gave in and left to see them, finding her premonition to have come true. Enraged grief briefly let the dark side take hold and she went after her birth parents - a mission she'd sworn against carrying out for fear of failing to keep her emotions in check. Her concern, too, proved right, and when she was met with indifference she killed them both.

Self-exile followed for several months, living almost entirely in solitude on Voss until something reminded her of the promise she'd made. Still afraid of her lack of control, she became a Shadow for the Silvers - more isolating, she felt, more safe - and trained under Jedi Master Connor Harrison.

Her Knighthood came soon after she met Darth Vitium on holiday in Balmorra. The Sith Lord attacked Aria when she realised she'd been identified, attempting to sway her alignment, but the Jedi held steadfast even when it resulted in failure against Vitium.

Jedi Knight:
The triumph of her knighting was almost immediately cut short. Aria scheduled to train with her Master soon after the promotion - the first time she was seeing him since - and though the lesson started out a success, misunderstanding on her part led to Connor losing his temper and revealing the truth of his nature; darkness. Confused and distressed, Aria was nearly convinced to leave the Order with him but stayed instead, swearing she'd prove him wrong.

The next few months were spent fighting through a storm of emotion to try and achieve just that, and Aria had almost convinced herself she could manage until Connor gatecrashed the Silvers' takeover of Drongar, renewing everything she'd tried desperately to push away. Later she snapped as she realised her weakness, and the idea bloomed in her head to go after Darth Vitium - painted in her mind as an embodiment of the power that seemed so very far from her reach. It took a while to talk herself into it, and just as long to work out how to carry out her mission, but she managed in the end and left Voss for Khar Shian.

Somehow, she knew that she wouldn't go back.

Rogue Knight:
Darth Vitium's coaxing finally convinced Aria to admit out loud her desire to leave behind the Jedi, even ask for help, and for several weeks she stayed on Khar Shian as the Sith offered that help. Her confidence was restored, her access to her emotions strengthened - and her inclination towards the dark side ever-so-slightly greatened. She was almost set back when Connor found her again, trying once more to convince her to his side. Though she nearly let leftover attachment get the best of her, it quickly hit her that his promise of her position alongside him was a lie, that he still saw her as beneath him, and she turned her back.

Now it occurred to her to leave Khar Shian - not permanently, but she'd realised how endangered she made her independence and was eager to rectify the flaw. She left for Maena at around the same time she befriended Darth Vitium's former apprentice, Darth Imperia. Those months were peaceful, but she frequently went back to Khar Shian. One such trip back to Vitium's fortress found the Sith Lord challenged to battle against Darth Prazutis, then unknown to her; Darth Vitium died, and Aria was left grieving but determined that she'd finish the path the Sith had set her down.

Dark Jedi Knight:
Aria returned to Maena to start fresh as she started to hone her connection to the dark side. Those months were chaotic, filled with revelations, encounters - she reencountered Prazutis, attempting to avenge Vitium and surviving his wrath only through sheer circumstance. She fought at Midvinter in a Sith skirmish against the Silver Jedi. She befriended Irajah Ven, and through the doctor managed to reconcile with a Sith Lord she'd seen on the battlefield as a Jedi, Matsu Xiangu. She asked for training from Xiangu when she decided she wanted to become Sith. She started training Vaylin, a stranded ex-Jedi she'd met on Dxun. She joined the Primeval. Finally, a rebellion on the Primeval's behalf faced her with murder on a much larger scale than Aria had ever done before - it was the realisation afterwards, when guilt disturbed her rest, that it truly didn't matter, that led Aria to start to call herself Sith.

Sith Knight:
Aria's full integration into the Sith as a Knight saw the rise of a new Sith Empire and her own progression both through that Empire, through her status and especially through her Sithhood. Most notably, after becoming part of the Sith Empire she cofounded the Valkyries and launched a company - more important than that, however, was the gathering where the Empire was first formed. It led to a first encounter with Darth Ophidia, one she never so much as realised had happened until it had ended, and by then the Sith Lord had created a connection; one that allowed her access to what Aria could see. Aria remains in the dark on this, but she knows there is someone in her head and is slowly trying to piece together the truth.

Her Knighthood was completed with Matsu's help when her teacher implanted her mind with Sith Sorcery that gave Aria a mental perception of every wrongdoing she inflicted. This is growing slowly into the permanent presence of voices in her head, and Aria hasn't decided yet if she will fight to try and remove them.
