Strengths:
- Very Lightweight: Due to being a dress, the outfit is extremely light and is even custom designed to barely inhibit Ariealla as she moves in it.
- Regal Appearance: The choice of outfit is highly stylized, and as such possesses something of a potential mind game. Surely someone this regal in appearance can become intimidating, especially if they move with ease.
- Shell Spider Silk: The underlayer of Ariealla's Regalia, made of shell spider silk, allowing her to survive one or two shots of a blaster pistol or glancing blows of a vibroblade, provided she manages to react in time. Enough to protect her if things go down before she can find her way to more, protective gear.
Weaknesses:
- Made of Fabric: The Regalia offers.... almost no protection. Against the cold, yes it can offer some resistance. Social gatherings? Fits right in. Stab wound to the chest? Well, it's going to be a heck of a stain, assuming Ariealla lives. Even shell spider silk has limits, especially when made into a thinner under layer/bodysuit rather than the full outfit. Higher caliber weapons, slughthrowers, and lightsabers make the shell spider silk only marginally better than normal silk.
- Lengthy Skirt: Though with constant training, and not reaching down all the way to the floor, the skirt can get caught on the environment, resulting in tears or, at worst, tripping and slowing Ariealla down.
- Stealth is not an option: For an assassin this is a strange sort of outfit. It inhibits attempts to hide, offers only complications in any attempt to sneak around security, and glimmers in the light. Wearing this, one is NOT going to be able to easily avoid attention.
DESCRIPTION
Ariealla Vareldi, in times long forgotten, found the reds and blacks of the Sith... dreadfully dull. In fact, the sith became more bland in appearance than Jedi, who at least had some variation she could find aesthetically pleasing as she relieved their shoulders from their heads. Sadly, despite doing her best to remain entertained she found that wearing the same sith robes in whatever color of the month she felt like simply didn't suffice. So, she began to experiment in the coming centuries with fashion, designing dresses she could never make alone, lacking the skill for it. Of course, as she faded into the background, she used her family to provide the labor needed to make dress after dress to suit her endless need for some.. color and.. flair in her lifetimes.
Then, one year, it was finished. A set of Regalia, not only reminiscent of her uniforms as a Sith Lord in the days before her fall from power, but with the flair and styling of a queen. Rejoicing at this creation, she had her family produce several of various sizes, secreting them away for her whenever she needed one of new measurements. The design remains a family secret, even if it provides no other benefits other than feeling like royalty when worn.
