STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
Pragmatic - She likes to take the path of least resistance in achieving her goals, and can be quite agreeable with others if that means advancing her agenda. Even known, she works with individuals, knowingly and unknowingly, who have wrecked her home planet in the past.
Dark-Side Resistance - Over the generations, her family has adapted to living in within a planetary Dark Side nexus. She's not bothered by ambient Dark Side energies, and has a high resistance to Dark Side abilities from opposing users at her skill level. Conversely, she feels nausea within light side nexus and is vulnerable to light side techniques.
Prejudiced - A negative experience with the Croa infestation on Sekalus has left her hating them and most kinds of feline species that closely resemble them. While usually composed, she makes little effort to hide her disgust of their kind and will likely discriminate against them in some fashion if encountered.
Brother's Keeper - She's very close to her brother as her only family member to escape with her from Sekalus. One way to get to her is through her brother, and this point of loyalty may hold her back on her development as a Sith.

Born into a family of wealthy Sekallian nobles descended from ancient Sith warlords, Arlen grew up in the lap of luxury as she and her family were practically worshipped as demi-gods. They were a family of practicing Sith, though their particular isolated sect's dogma had diverged greatly from original Sith teachings, their relatively benign ideology revolving around court politics of Sekalus. By the time she could walk, she would begin learning her family's brand of Sith arts in grooming her to become the head of the house.
That good life came to an end for her overnight as the Covenant of the Black Rose conquered her planet and began enslaving her people and mutating some of them into feline monstrosities. Her father would be one of the victims of the mutations, having been present with the then King of Sekalus during the initial wave of attacks.
As her mutated father tried returning home, her distraught mother killed him right on the spot, and began her own rebellion against the new regime in a campaign of personal vengeance.
Her rebellion would eventually end in failure against a larger and technologically superior foe, but not before she was able to send off Arlen and her son Joseph off planet as native Sekallians regained limited access to hyperdrive technology.
By then, Arlen was a teenager, so on her own, she decided to head to a then fledgling First Order on Dossun. Without a credit to her name, she took a position with the First Order Security Bureau, who found her skillset as a Force adept useful for the role of a field agent.
From then on, she proved to be a valuable asset to the FOSB, able to work a wide variety of missions from espionage to direct action. While carrying out her duties as an FOSB agent, she often poses as public official or soldier whilst under heavy disguise. Whatever needed to get the job done.
Grateful for the opportunities afforded to her by the First Order, the FOSB agent works tirelessly to advance their reach, having an eye on eventually taking the top spot as the Director of the FOSB. Meanwhile, her brother has found his own success in the world of finance as a top-level analyst.
However, her time with First Order would be cut short, as became uncomfortable with the new direction the First Order had taken during and after its first war with the Galactic Alliance. Shortly after that conflict, she would resign from her post in the FOSB on amicable terms, looking to forge a new path for herself and continue her growth as a Sith.
