- Unit Size: Large
- Unit Availability: Uncommon
- Unit Experience: Trained
- Equipment:
- Combat Function: The tactics employed by the droid army is a combination of overwhelming numbers coming from relatively easily replaced minor and mass produced droid models in combination with brutish shock troop tactics at the hands of the much more heavy Pluto type walker droids and the MAW heavy artillery pieces, while less effective than professionaly trained soldiers in close quarters and melee combat, the sheer numerical advantage and lack of exhaustion does tend to give the Droid Army an edge in open combat.
- Force Abilities (Force User Units Only): N/A
- Replace, replace, replace: With practically all parts of the Droid army being mass produced and at minimum Minor production, replacements for lost numbers can be sourced easily and effectively, granting this unit a constant numerical superiority or at least one over time.
- Heavy hitter: The expert combination of heavy artillery, tanks and shocktroop droid varieties adds a bit of variation to this droid army, making it a terrifying force in open warfare due to the combination of numbers and firepower it brings to the table.
- Moral isn't an issue: With no moral or emotions to hold sway over the health and strength of this unit, it will perform at the same level of professionalism and strength without fail...in normal circumstances.
- Closed combat: While the combat droids are capable in fighting one on one, they pale in comparison to actual veteran soldiers and are thus not exactly to be considered useful to bring in closed space combat or warfare.
- Little life preservation: While one might see the lack of selfpreservation as a bonus, it may very well be a downside as well, for the lack to understand you are walking to your own death makes the droids less likely to put up proper defenses without being ordered to do so.
The Droid army is an effective remnant from the Lord of Hunger's days as the Viceroy of Eriadu within the old Confederacy of Independent Systems, where his favor for easily maintained and replaceable droids as the bulk of any defense force would give cause to truly train the biologic components of any army to their peak without losing them ahead of time. it also represented the shift he tried to push through during his time as Chancellor of the Left from the Zweihander Union, where he saw the use of droids and high to full automation as a way to have a much more reliable force to act as the bulk of any army and to focus training of sentient beings to a much higher standard without losing promosing soldiers to war too soon.
Nowadays, as a remembrance to that thought, droids also tend to remove a problem for the Lord of Hunger, as droids would not be disrupted mentally by the presence of the Force Entity and would obey without any question or hesitation. As such, the Lord of Hunger decided to utilize a lot of older droid models from the company he once owned, shipping them through back channels and storing them on several secure locations among which his own main ship; the Usurper. With these back-channels, the Lord of Hunger managed to create a sizeable force of which the bulk was being stored either in remote hideouts spread accross the galaxy or within locations where he himself had direct control and oversight, such as the Tomb of C on the Redoubt.
A Droid legion of the Armada Gluttoneria has seen its first piece of action during the Cleansing of Pergitor, where it was partially meant to set up the temporary headquarters of the Lord of Hunger and secure it, while many more would be brought down later on to ensure a full security of the planet.
