ArmaTech Security Titan Group
Intent: Elite Heavy Infantry associated with ArmaTech Combat Systems
Affiliation: ArmaTech Combat Systems
Availability: Rare
Quality: B
Type: Heavy Shock Infantry
Strength: 74 Personnel per Group (32 Groups)
Description:
The Titan Security Groups were different than the standard Security Forces employed by ArmaTech. Made up of veterans on the short list to join the Darksteel Dragons the Titan units are small units of soldiers who form walls of steel, ceramic, shields, and flesh. In combat they are bulwarks of destruction, unleashing heavy firepower and using Power Hammers to great effect. Nothing says dead enemies like them being blasted by high powered weapons and knocked back and their armor crushed with power hammers.
Well trained in combat, they have little training elsewhere. If it doesn't involve fighting someone, they don't have much experience there. In combat they make use of tight corridors, stairwells, and other environmental obstacles to maximize the effectiveness of their bulky armor and shields that defend them. This has the added benefit of allowing their hammer strokes, or punches, to knock enemies into each other. Powerful Shoulder-Mounted weapons provide fire support, and at maximum power the cannons can be dangerous even to starfighters.
They form up and defend ArmaTech Sites and Ships with effeciency and brutality, each wanting that gold star in hopes of advancing into the elite group, though that isn't the only path to greatness. They are well paid, and kept happy to maximize their morale, and it seems to work. Having been trained that they are walking tanks with nothing to fear of other infantry, they will willingly stride into enemy units, making great sweeping blows and pressing their shields and bulk forward.
