Armor of the Rangers

[Kylo Kyr'am]

Location: Mercs Weaponry HQ, Tatooine
Objective: Smith Beskar helmet, gas mask and helmet.

Kylo sat in the underground factory prepping his Beskar for its new design, there was going to be alot of it used. Kylo looking down at the blue prints the mask, helmet and chest armor all being the same material. This would be a long process but worth it in the end.

An armor for himself, instead of the traditional mandalorian armor, Kylo looked to the other parts of the gear, jeans, Tactical holsters, a duster, now all that was left was the armor. Kylo stood up and grabbed the first set of mandalorian iron and begin using the smelter so he then could begin molding the perfect armor.

He started by smelting down the iron, getting it nice and hot as to be able to form it into the shape of the armor he needed. Kylo remembered doing this exact process for the armor he wears now. A slow and long process but worth it.

After Kylo finished smelting the first plate he would grab his tools to begin forming the armor being very careful as he carved every last detail of the first plate. And to think this was only the first one, he had several more plates to go.

Kylo was good at what he did, had a great teacher. His father. He had taught him how to Smith Beskar and make various types of armor or of it. Even the ones that the Mandalorians always wore, the ones they were famous for. But Kylo wasn't making that armor, no sir he was making a unique armor. Very special to guard the chest and neck.

Once Kylo was finished carving the first armor plate he very carefully lowered it into a shallow tub of water to let it cool down and harden and then it would be complete. Now on to the rest of the plates.

Kylo then started on the next set of Beskar armor plage. So time consuming but again with it. After he was finished with all the torso armor he would have to begin the construction of the mask and helmet.

Kylo finished smelting the second armor plate and begin molding the Beskar into chest armor. After 3 days Kylo had a majority of the torso armor done and continued on only stopping to eat and sleep. His plans of the perfect armor were on the line, relying on this armor. He had to make sure it was done right.

7 more days had passed and Kylo finished the torso armor, he figured he would attach it to the flex armor after he was done forging the gas mask and helmet. Kylo went back to his blueprints and studied them before he was to begin the forging of the mask and helmet.

After an hour he was ready to begin. He grabbed up enough Beskar and begin smelting it to get it to the right amount of heat to mold it into the correct shape. After several hours he had the lower half of the mask forged and cooling. Kylo then begin continuing his work forging the rest of the mask and helmet.

Again he knew this was a process but it again he knew it would pay off. It was selfish of him to keep this style armor to himself. But hey that's what he is doing this hard work for he thought to himself as he finished the back of the mask.

2 more days had passed and Kylo was still working on the helmet and mask. It was exhausting work, tiring work, but oh well had to be done and no one was going to do it but himself.

Kylo took a break and went to light a cigarette. As he smoked his cigarette he was checking on the chest armor. It turned out very decently. Nice solid shape. He figured he will get the painted brand logo's on them later for now he just wanted a break.

After his cigarette he grabbed some more Beskar and continued his forging of the soon to be Legendary Armor. The Ranger Armor. It was good, it was great. Kylo had a smile on his face as he continued finishing the mask and helmet into the night.

After Kylo finished molding the mask and helmet, he let them cool so they could hardened. Kylo then begin setting up the torso armor for testing. He had various test it had to go through.

Kylo grabbed an AR-Jurkard, loaded it and opened fire on each individual set of torso armor. After several dozen rounds the torso armor held up. He then grabbed his hunting knife and begin slicing and stabbing his armor. Again didn't do anything to the armor.

Kylo was impressed. Two final test he would have to complete. Kylo grabbed a frag grenade and a thermal detonator and hid behind a wall. He pulled the pin and tossed the grenade out. It exploded and then Kylo tossed the thermal detonator out. After his explosion Kylo walked back out and looked at the armor examining it. Only a few scorch marks and a few scratches. Overall the armor stood up to everything.

Once the mask and helmet was ready Kylo begin his testing on them. He stabbed at them with various knives, shot at them with various blasters to no prevail he didn't do anything but just barely scratched them.

Kylo then begin working on the electronics and gadgets of the mask. He knew what he wanted in them. Just taking the time to do it was the difficult part. But he had it down. If he could build his ship this would or at least be pretty easy. But even then he would have to test each gadget and electronic to make sure it would work.

Kylo got the mask all done after few hours and put it on and tested it. All the different vision modes checked out, then he checked the rebreather by going outside and letting off a tear gas canister. None of it got to him. He then took the Blaster out of his holster and used the macrobinoculars and zoomed in on a rock that was 10 meters away. Kylo pulled the trigger and nailed the rock. So far so good.

Kylo then treasures out the voice changer, to his liking it worked perfectly. He then decided to test out the Target Tracker. He waited for something to move. The he saw it, some people flying by in a landspeeder, Kylo activated the tracker and a circle reticle targeted the landspeeder and followed it.

Kylo nodded in approval then deactivated it and moved onto the next test. Kylo went back inside and put on the rest of the armor and hooked ask the electronics up the wrist computer and begin running diagnoses with his HUD, life support was doing good, oxygen levels were good. Comlink was up and running.

Kylo then went back outside and looked for Mos Espa, once found out he activated his range finder to see that it worked perfectly. Told him the exact range from him to Mos Espa. Kylo then went back inside and begin working on his next project, the duster.

Kylo took off all the armor leaving him in his blue jeans and black flex armor body glove shirt. He sat down at his table and got his sewing machine out. Kylo begin cutting and shaping the waxed cotton material weaved with Durasteel traces. Was a long process measuring, cutting the right size and sewing it to the perfect measures.

Kylo got the first layer done then begin on the second layer. He needed to make it thick, the thicker the better. The material would be stronger, plus keep him warm in cold environments. Exactly what he needed because as a mercenary, who knew where he would be going.

Kylo finished the duster finally in the middle of the night. He would double check his work in the morning. He went and laid down on his couch and quickly passed out dreaming of the final product of all his hard work.

Kylo woke up the next morning and took a shower and then got dressed putting on his flex armor body glove suit, blue jeans, his boots, his 3 belts, his black tactical flex armor gloves. He then put his torso armor on and bent over and stood up and twisted and moved around, the armor pricing very flexible as he liked.

Kylo then put his tactical leg holster on, then came his small oxygen tank on his back then he put his duster on hiding the small tank. He looked on the mirror and was not even noticeable that he had a tank on. Kylo then put his mask and helmet on and activated the eye lens. They begin to glow red and all systems activated. He then put on his wrist medpack on his right wrist. Then put his mini wrist computer on his left wrist.

Kylo looked at himself in the mirror nodding in approval and then stepped outside and made his way to Mos Espa to browse the socializing life.
