Armour

I planning on killing a terentatek, to get some hide armour.
Can someone give me info, on the specs I should be looking at when I do this for factory submission.

Well it's leather, so unless there's going to be other materials the quality is going to be below 5. Depending on how much of the body it covers it will/should grant partial resistance (not immunity) to basic telekinetic powers and other "projectile" force powers, such as lightning(that only strikes the leather, and nothing else, so unless you're wearing gloves, pants, boots, a mask, etc... you get the idea) or spear of midnight black. It will not negate these abilities entirely, and the darkshear/spear of midnight black will actually cause kinetic impact on the effected area.

It's good to use for various things, really, just don't expect to be walking around being capable of shrugging off the majority of force abilities.

[member="Darth Vitium"] Never thought I would be able to, or shrug off most of force powers. Just negate them a little, to give harley a fighting chance.

Alternatively, you could have an alchemist assist you in hardening the Hide against a specific type of Force power. For example, the Thronebreaker has a helmet lined with Terentatek Hide that is specifically hardened against Mental attacks, and I devised Bodygloves hardened against telekinetics. Doing something of this sort would leave you open to the remainder of Force powers, but you'd have greater resistance to one that what you could expect by donning untreated hide.

That said, I'm with [member="Darth Vitium"] in suggesting that you utilize other materials alongside the hide. Such as armorplast, durasteel, etc. Terentatek Hide is good against force powers, but against weaponry not so much. Incorporating armor plating of some sort, in addition to the hide, would definitely give Harley a fighting chance.

Since this discussion is being held elsewhere too, just reiterating that, to make terentatek hide maintain its Force resistance, you either need Rave's proprietary alchemical technique, assistance from someone she trained (like isley), or an alchemist who'll put a solid thread into reverse engineering my stuff.

The Kinetic damage caused to the flesh beneath the armor, impacted by whatever attack, is directly proportional to the oz (ounce) of the armor. Or, in simpler terms, the thickness of it. I.e. 3 oz leather would do very little while 10 - 15 oz would allow dispersal of force across the entire surface without causing damage to the flesh (rigidity is the important part here, as the harder materials are to prevent penetrating damage). (Source: Worn and fought in light leather, hide, chainmail, full plate, and brigandine armor).

[member="sabrina"] So if your armor, in your mind, is limp and light, then yeah, it basically wouldn't diminish the kinetic force of an attack.
