WEAKNESSES

DESCRIPTION

Designed to counter the threat of orbital bombardment, the Arms Dynamics Anti-Orbital Lance Gun scales the weapon to create an effective counter to orbital bombardment. The resulting lance gun was huge and immobile, but perfectly suited for creating an anti-bombardment envelope when combined with sufficiently strong deflector shielding. The weapon can draw power directly from a ground based reactor to continually burn through first the shields and then armor of large capital ships attempting to bombard its location. The system was initially designed for The Citadel as a way to protect it from orbiting capital ships and to force any enemy force attempting to crack it to commit ground elements for a conventional siege.
