DESCRIPTION
In multiple engagements, the missile-heavy ships of the House Mecetti fleet have been found to lack heavy artillery firepower, leaving them at a distinct disadvantage when the enemy has robust anti-missile capabilities. As such, the Arsenal Class Cruiser was devised. The ship is little more than an armored cruiser with artillery systems bolted on. While a capable ship, it was rushed into service, and lacks the anti-starfighter weaponry common to most capital ships. As such, it relies on allied starfighters, corvettes, and frigates for anti-fighter support. The House Mecetti war doctrine specifically states that Arsenal Class vessels are never to be deployed alone, lest this vulnerability see a costly vessel destroyed by enemy fighter squadrons. This ship is available to all buyers with the exception of the embargoed Dark Empire.
