Arthakk was born on the world of Kashyyk, a wroshyr tree-covered forest planet located in the southwestern quadrant of the galaxy and the homeworld of the Wookiee species. Arthakk spent most of his early years in his homeworld, living the live like any other normal Wookiee. Around the age of twelve, Arthakk and every other male Wookiees would perform an initiation ritual that made them enter young adulthood. In most parts of Kashyyyk, incumbents to the coming-of-age ritual had to gather silk fibers from the center of a carnivorous syren plant. Later on in other regions of the planet, young males took the Test of Ascension, known as hrrtayyk in Wookieespeak. During that ceremony, the youth was expected to unlock his rrakktorr, or inner strength, by learning how to survive in the Kashyyykian Shadowlands, the dangerous ground level of the forests. However Arthakk mother was unable to see her son become a young adult, as she died to an ilness and was to late to be treated. This sadden Arthakk immensely as he love his mother very much, which resulted Arthakk to stay hiding in the woods to mourn his mother passing. Eventually Arthakk father and his friends were able to help him overcome the loss of his mother, as they reminded him that his mother would want him to stay strong and move forward.
During his later years as an young adult, his village was raided by Trandoshan who took a lot of the Wookies captives, which include Arthakk. Him as his father tried to fight off the Trandoshan but they were too many, as his father was killed from behind, causing Arthakk into a frenzy but the Trandoshan was able to subdued him. They were kidnap to be sold to the Rattataki, as they needed them for their strength to be used on construction or to be put on the gladiator pit. Arthakk was sent to The Cauldron due to his him being bigger and stronger compared to the other Wookies the brought. In Cauldron, the Rattataki would pit mercenaries and slave soldiers gainst one another in gladiatorial comba, sometimes the slaves would be put on an uneven fight against ferocious animals. Arthakk at first was very hesistant to fight the people he was forced to battle, but soon he realize he must fight if he wants to survive and one day have a chance to escape. After a decade of living as a slave gladiator, forced to fight for the spectator entertainment, Arthakk was able to honed his combat skills as he became one of the most decorated gladiator in The Cauldron, amassing hundreds of victories. There he earned the popularity of the spectators, where many mercenaries would come to the Cauldron just for the honor and experience to fight him. Arthakk was seen by his fellow gladiator with huge respect not only for his fighting skills but also due to his kindness as he always ready to help and be there for his fellow gladiator.
One day, Arthakk and his fellow gladiator planned to rebel against their Rattataki captors, as in a few days, the 3 best gladiators will meet with the head of The Cauldron That will be the best time to initate their rebellion, as they plan to take the head of The Cauldron hostage, whilst the rest of the the the gladiators start from taking over the armory. Their plans were able to be done due to a few of the Rattataki who dislike the slavery that is happening here, as they would made the 3 gladiators cuff loose when they are about to meet the head of The Cauldron, while they will unlock the gladiator cell and guide them to the armory. During the day of the rebellion, the plan as put to a go, as when Arthakk and his fellow gladiator with him was able to defeat the guards protecting the head of The Cauldron due to the cuff being sabotaged. Meanwhile the gladiators downstair were able to take arms and begin to fight off The Cauldron guards. Once Arthakk took hostage of the head of The Cauldron, Arthakk made him ordered his men to surrender and give the gladiator their freedom. Thus their rebellion was a success, as they then destroyed The Cauldron and left the planet, to return to their lives.
Arthakk and his fellow Wookiee brethren returned to Kashyyyk, where he went to his village to visit his father grave, saying he was sorry he wasn't able to save him and it took so long for Arthakk to return here. He stayed at his village for a weeks, before he decided to go off world to make something of himself. 2 years before the rebellion at The Cauldron, he met a Mandalorian name Rijk who came to test his skills with Arthakk, their fight was evenly matched as they fought each other with all they have. Arthakk was able to beat him after he made a risky attack, by charging him for the tackle to turn the fight into a melee, resulting in Arthakk winning. That fight earned the Mandalorian and Arthakk each other respect, as the Mandalorian offered to help Arthakk to become a bounty hunter as he sees his potential. The Mandalorian at first tried to buy his freedom but outright rejected, as he then asked Arthakk if he wanted to be helped escaped which he refused as he didn't want to abandon his fellow gladiators. Rijk respected his decision and told him he'll wait for him at Bespin when he regained his freedom. Arthakk took off from his planet to meet Rijk so he could accept his offer to become a bounty hunter. Arthakk went to Bespin, where he there found Rijk and the two shared a hug as they are glad things turn out fine. Arthakk spent the next 10 years training to become a bounty hunter under Rijk, as they went on mission and hunting together. They formed a close bond of brotherhood due to this. One day, Rijk ask if he want to be apart of the Mandalorian, as Arthakk has what it takes and the mindset to be one. Arthakk decline politely, as he has his own culture that he loves so he accept his offer. Rijk knew Arthakk would decline but ask anyway just to get it out of his system. At first Arthakk mostly took jobs that he was given by Rijk, but due to Rijk becoming more busy with other priorities, Arthakk started to look for employer and jobs by himself.
The first contract he took by himself was from a high ranking republic officer on Balmorra, he needed help with an unknown assailant who's been killing off his soldiers and destroyed a few of his forward operating base. He would have use his own men but even his spec ops squadron were eliminated easily, and he couldn't ask for reinforcement as they are an off the book division which cannot be known by the senate much less the public of they activities. Arthakk was hired along with 3 other season bounty hunters, 2 humans and a Trandoshan, which didn't pleased Arthakk. During the briefing, Arthakk and the Trandoshan had a fight after the Trandoshan insulted the Wookiee, saying they're just good for slave and hunting, which infuriated him. It took almost everyone there to stop Arthakk from killing the Trandoshan which he almost did, the fight later on stop. After the briefing, the 4 bounty hunter went off to a small military base which the officer assumed would be the assailant next target. When they reach there, it was a bit too late as everyone there was dead, but the assailant was still there, killing the last few survivor. When the Arthall and the bounty hunters close in on the assailant, it was revelead that it was a Sith Assasin, sent to disrupt and destroy the republic presence here. Fight ensues, as they started to shoot at the Sith Assasin, to which he deflected it and charged towards one of the human bounty hunter. He sliced the human bounty hunter, as he then use the force to push Arthakk and the Trandoshan towards the wall, so he could kill the last human bounty hunter. With the 2 human bounty hunter killed. it was only Arthakk and the Trandoshan left, as Arthakk then took out his Ryyk kerarthorr to engage the Sith in a melee combat whilst the Trandoshan gave give covering fire. Arthakk tries to swing his Ryyk kerarthorr at the Sith but it was cut by the Sith lightsaber and gave him a cut on Arthakk right shoulder, this forced Arthakk to use his hands and body as he pin the Sith into the wall. Arthakk called out for the Trandoshan to help and shoot, as the two struggled, but he already left just moment ago as the Trandoshan felt this was a losing battle and not worth his life. This enraged Arthakk a he is forced to fight the Sith on his own, he threw the Sith to the side which made him lose his light saber. A brawl erupt between the two, as they exchanged blow after blow, tiring each other out. Arthakk knew he cannot waste anymore time if he wants to defeat the Sith as he then made a risky move by charging head on towards the Sith Assassin. The Sith Assasin realize what he was doing and used forced lighting to stop Arthakk, but he powered throught the pain as he slammed shoulder first into the Sith knocking him down and then pummeling the Sith until he was unconscious.
Hours later, he went back to the base covered with blood and cuts from the lightsaber the Sith Assassin inflicted on him, as he has the Sith Assassin tied up over his shoulder. He threw the Sith when soldiers came to help him, as he then went to find the Trandoshan, who was about to be paid by the officer. lying about what happen, saying the rest are all dead and he took care of the ones who attacked them. Arthakk charged at the Trandoshan in rage, as he punch him before lifting him in the air trying to snap his neck. The Trandoshan begged for mercy, saying he was sorry, but Arthakk didn't stop as he then finally snapped the Trandoshan neck and killed him. The soldiers came into the room with guns pointing at the Wookiee, before the officer told them to lowered the weapon as he then asked Arthakk what exactly happened. Half an hour later after Arthakk explained everything that transpired, it shocked the officer to know it was a Sith they were dealing. The officer give the payment including a bonus to Arthakk for helping them, as he then set off back to Bespin to recover from the fight. Even though the republic officer tried to keep what happened from under wraps, the news spread in the underworld, especially within the Sith organization that a Sith Assassin was defeated by a Wookieeb bounty hunter. This skyrocketed Arthakk reputation, as he was given contract from all sort of places, from underworld to governemnts. He went from just another bounty hunter to the bounty hunter to was able to captured a Sith Assassin on his own. After that encounter Arthakk knew he needed to hone his skills if he were to meet another force user and to make new melee weapon that could withstand a lightsaber. After he recovered, Arthakk went on back again to bounty hunting whilst continuing to be better and find someone who could help him craft the weapon he wants.

Arthakk is kindhearted and high spirited Wookie, as he enjoy socializing and talking to people regardles whether they don't understand him or not. Ever since he was young he likes to help other people in need, especially those who are smaller than him. Since Wookiee can't speak basic, Arthakk bought himself a protocol droid to translate him, but he asked only for the head as he want the droid to be with him all the time even during combat so he could translate on the go. Unlike most Wookiee, Arthakk doesn't get angry easily, but that doesn't make people less wary at him due to the stereotype against Wookie being short tempered. Arthakk enjoy to give people he likes and spend time with a hug, as sometimes he forgot his own strength and almost broke a person bones once. Not only that, Arthakk likes to pet people who are smaller than him, as if they're are small creature that likes to be pet which cause some fight to happen because of it. Arthakk likes to cook as he prefer his food to be prepared rather than eating it raw, which result him to hate food that are bad or wasn't cooked properly.
His love for hunting and experience during his days as a gladiator was what made him became a bounty hunter, as he likes the adrenaline he feels when he fights especially during a melee fight. Life as a Wookiee, becoming a great gladiator and then a bounty hunter, made Arthakk very proficient in combat and hunting, especially melee combat. Due to him being captured and his father died to a Trandoshan, he has a deep hatred towards them, but won't actively fight them if unprovoked. Though he was forced to fight as a gladiator for years, Arthakk has no ill will against the Rattataki as that matters been settled when they defeated them and destroyed The Cauldron.
