Named after The katarn, a savage predator from the planet Kashyyyk. Katarns were ferocious and merciless predators which would track their prey for long periods before choosing an opportune moment to strike. This was designed as a blaster pistol for Arthakk, as when it's on the hands of a Wookiee it looks average size, but when at the hands of a human, it is as if they are holding a sawed off shotgun. Primarily used when Arthakk is unable to bring his bowcaster as it attracts to many eyes due to it's size, so Arthakk decided to make a pistol, which still a bit big but much less smaller than a bowcaster in size.
