STRENGTHS
- | High-Speed Assault | The Ceylon is built for speed and firepower, functioning much like high-speed cavalry on the battlefront. A majority of its armaments and defenses are allocated to the front of the Ceylon, featuring a Liskarm multi-layer shield that activates to protect the front/driver from any harm that they are driving at. With Twin Blaster Cannons mounted at the front, the Ceylon can cut down scores of enemy troops on an attack run in rapid succession. Link firing them or using Projectile Launchers mounted under each dorsal can be used to hammer light vehicles or positions. It is also capable of traversing the surfaces of large bodies of water.
- | Cut Them Down | The edges and front of the Ceylon are specially made using Ifrit technology made by ApexTech Industries. This allows any point of contact that the Ceylon makes when on the move can melt/slice through and cut any unfortunate soul caught in its path in half, typically infantry or troublesome flora. A grazing touch against a Ceylon riding by at even a moderate speed will most likely result in loss of limbs and/or life.
- | Watch Your Six | The Ceylon is completely exposed and vulnerable from the rear. The shield does not cover it, leaving both the engine and the driver quite vulnerable. While the chances of hitting a Ceylon at full speed as it drives past are relatively slim, a lucky or well-placed sniper shot will typically send a Ceylon spiraling out of control before exploding in a fiery ball of death. Mortality rates are typically very high amongst Ceylon pilots, but better than most other speeder bike products.
DESCRIPTION
The AS 'Ceylon' Class Assault Speeder Bike is as its name implies, a speeder bike for use in high-speed assaults, able to cut bloody swathes across the front line of any battlefield with deadly precision. Collision sensors onboard actively interact with the driver, able to warn them of hazardous terrain so that they can avoid fatality rates from crashes. The onboard fire control system can sync with the HUD of the driver, allowing control of the front-mounted twin blaster cannons on pivots via a visual lock on giving the driver much more freedom as far as positioning goes when pursuing targets; as long as they are within a 90-degree cone in front of them, they can be pursued and shot at without needing to land a straight-on shot from behind.
The speed at which Ceylons can move on the battlefield makes them ideal for rapid deployment from one point to another, allowing for quick cavalry style reinforcement with ease. Forward-facing adaptive layered shielding makes them excellent for leading flanking charges, combined with the Ifrit technology built into the frame, gives Ceylons aggressive attack options for cutting holes through enemy formations without worry that a stray shot might accidentally hit them in the face or a sniper sending them flying. Projectile Launchers and optional Power Lances also give Ceylons an edge against vehicles, being able to hammer or pierce through vehicular armor or walkers.
