Ascendant Manufacturing is actually an amalgamation of a number of failing or defunct companies within the Chiss Ascendancy. After the fall of the most recent Chiss government, much of the Ascendancy's economy went into a severe depression. Numerous corporations went bust while others struggled to hold on. Starting a few years ago, an unknown being in possession of a vast fortune began acquiring several of these companies. Over time, he began to re-organize these companies into a single conglomeration called Ascendant Manufacturing. Only recently has the identity of that being been revealed as Ayan'ate'ouco-better known as Nateo.
RATIONALE
When Nateo awoke from his centuries long slumber, he found that his people were on the brink of economic ruin. Luckily, while he had slumbered, he'd detailed several financially programmed protocol droids to manage his clan's assets. Over centuries of prudent investing, Nateo awoke to find himself in possession of a considerable fortune. Using this fortune, he acquired several failing companies and re-organized them into a single corporation conglomerate called Ascendant Manufacturing. His goal was to provide a solid manufacturing base for the next regime to lead the Ascendancy.
