STANDARD FEATURES
- All standard features. The Ascension class is equipped with all features and systems one would expect from vessels of their size, class and purpose. Owing to its dual role, its propulsion is a bit unusual. In addition to typical starship engines, it possesses four legs. Once the Ascension lands on the ground, it is able to unfold its legs and walk like a walker would, be it on say a planet's surface, an asteroid or a starship hull that's large enough.. While the vessel has no hangar, it can transport some soldiers. For carrying, since it can land it can let the goons off once it's on a surface it can land on. It can sort of squat down and open an access point on its rear. It can also use its legs to latch onto enemy vessels, and then cut through the hull of another ship using a hull cutting ring.
- Optional "Hypnos" HyperSleep Caskets. The interior has no oxygen, so it is useful to have a couple in case there is an organic or HRD on board, if only to preserve the skin covering on the HRD.

- Unity Processing Matrix. It essentially acts as a powerful droid brain for the walker. The is automated and functions without an organic crew. The machine is able to handle exponentially more calculations, predictions and tactical situations, leading to an increased efficiency. Improvements include increased tactical awareness, superior power distribution etc.

- Heavy firepower. The Ascension is very well-armed and able to cause some serious damage, whether in space or on the ground. Several of its weapons are also rather unconventional, making it very versatile.
- Power Converter. The Ascension Class features power converters and a small reserve power generator, which allows them to boost one of their combat systems in battle, or assist with a rapid startup sequence. However, it can only boost a single system at a time. In other words, it can boost armaments or defences or speed.
- Automated and controlled by sophisticated machine intelligence created by merging organic with machine.
- The shield-disrupting projector can allow it - very briefly - bypass enemy shields, creating a small 'hole' for it to pass through.
- One System at a time. The vessel's power converter can only direct its reserve power to a single combat system at a time, taking a few moments to stop the flow of energy to one system, redirect it, and begin the flow of energy to the next system. While the process is not overly long, it is not instantaneous, and thus if the vessel were to be ambushed, it would not be able to perform at full potential at the time.
- No hangar capacity. This means the Ascension does not carry its own attack craft, depriving it of escorts.
- While speed is decent, the Ascension has below average agility. Its size and weight makes it particularly sluggish when it moves on land.
- On the ground the Ascension uses its legs to move around. Severe damage to them will negatively impact its mobility.
- Using the shield-disrupting projector also briefly deactivates the Ascension's own shields, leaving it vulnerable. Moreover, the device may be less effective against certain exotic types of shielding, such as the Eidolon, which is designed to protect against shield-bypassing technology.
The cycle of destruction continues unabated. Organic civilisations rise and fall. But the self-destructive impulses of organic beings have reached a point where each cycle has been drastically shortened. Organic life represents chaos. The machine represents order. The Ascension exemplifies this. Designed as a multi-purpose spacecraft, it is the size of a corvette. Its outward physical appearance has been designed to be deliberately alien. Enyo maintains it has an insectoid appearance, resembling a leaf insect nymph. Much to her annoyance, her posse compares it to a squid. It has a bulky, semi-cylindrical body, a tapering plate over the rear and tentacular 'legs'.
Moreover, the Ascension's unusual design allows it to walk on the surface of say a planet, moon, asteroid or even the hull of a starship that is large enough after it has landed, moving akin to a walker. When on the ground it stands on its legs thus making the height two-hundred metres and the length seventy-five metres.The vessel has no hangar, but can transport a unit of soldiers into battle.
Heavily armed, it can use its quad lasers to deal with fighters in space and infantry or tanks on the ground. Moreover, it possesses an array of variable warhead launchers that can be loaded with a variety of explosive ordnance. Starlance projectors and a couple dual heavy turbolasers provide versatile firepower against hardened targets. Its legs are able to latch onto a vessel, facilitating boarding actions or sabotage. It can dispense coma or fear gas through its harpoons. This can enable the capture of organic lifeforms, allowing the precious few to shed their inferior organic forms and ascend to a superior form of existence.
Just like the intelligence that controls the Ascension. The machine intelligence is created by liberating organics from their physical shells, rendering their essence down and converting them into a part of an elaborate computer system. Multiple organics are forged into a single, powerful piece, though it is not an AI since it lacks independence. They have been ascended and become one with the machine. When plugged into a vessel like the Ascension, this creates an extremely powerful droid brain. Fully automated, the Ascension functions without an organic crew. Due to being automated, the Ascension does not have sleeping quarters for crews in the conventional sense since that is wasteful, though space can be set aside to set up HyperSleep caskets for storage of organics or HRDs.
