DESCRIPTION
The Ascent Class Fast Frigate is the House Mecetti version of a ship that appears in the fleets of many Houses and Powers: A Rapid Response Frigate, also known as a Fast Frigate. Designed to rapidly respond to emergency scenarios, it is the fastest ship in the Mecetti fleet, able to sprint in Hyperspace as ably as in Realspace. When a crisis arises, the Ascent Class can be there in hours- breaking blockades, disgorging elite troops, or transporting important leaders to emerging hot-spots. It is fast enough to get somewhere, and well defended enough to get back again. House Mecetti maintains three ships of this type: The Rumour, the Flashpoint, and the Swift. The Rumour was last seen conducting trials near Voss.
