Aselgis Dremire
Queen of the Oceans
Aselgis Dremire, Ocean Queen
Full Name: Aselgis Circe Dremire
Age: 25 years old
Gender: Female
Species: Seiarenei
Home-world: Anthemoessa
~Resides in: Palamir
Titles:
~ Queen of Palamir
~ Princess of Anthemoessa
Allegiance:
~ Dremire Royal Family
It was since her birth that Aselgis has charmed those around her. Where her sister is cunnning and manipulative, she is the greatest seductress of all the Seiarenei of Anthemoessa and Palamir - which is quite an achievement, considering that seduction and charm are traits that her species have mastered through the ages. There is yet to be someone able to resist her charms, the invitation of her lips that leads only to a certain doom, however sweet it may be. And yet, Aselgis is more than just a seductress; she has created an aura around herself, one filled with mystery and rumors. She may not be as manipulative as her sister, but she is certainly skilled in creating myths and legends around herself or her people.
Rather than charm the masses of Palamir like her sister, Aselgis prefers to act on a more personnal level, as she gets to know those she charms on an extremely intimate level in little time. Merope's eyes may be all-seeing, but it is Aselgis' charm that enthralls even the strongest of minds. And yet, she is a deceitful one; the gentle embrace of her arms and the exquisite feeling of her lips only leads her prey to a watery tomb. She is, like most Seiarenei, quite selfish, thinking of herself first and of the world second. Still, she loves her people deeply, and she is prepared to do anything for them.
She is less focused than Merope, easily losing herself in self-admiration or the pursuit of her desires - although her intent is the same as her sister's. There is nothing that makes her feel better than attention and adoration, and the knowledge that she is the most beautiful of all.
While she has the same ambition as her beloved sister, she expresses it differently: other Seiarenei may fall victim of her seductive deceit, but she still cares about her species like a mother to a child. This is something that applies to all Seiarenei - in fact, Aselgis was originally responsible for the escape of the Seiarenei born without force sensitivity. She can be capricious, jealous and vain, but she can also be very caring and motherly. This applies tenfold to her dear sister [member="Merope Dremire"] , whom she constantly argues with, and yet adores like no other. Although the queen would never admit it, she regards her sister as her "big sister"; she is both jealous and respectful of her other half for her sheer will and determination, which often confuses her.
Something to note about her is her great curiosity. She was reprimanded by Merope at first for her interest in the Zeltrons of Palamir, although her influence in the creation of the cult dedicated to the Seiarenei as changed her sister's opinion on the matter. It is rare, but not unheard of for Aselgis to come to the surface or to the parts of the ocean where the Zeltrons are allowed to explore, seeking them out; the reasons for this are her curiosity and her desire to learn more about them.
Although she thinks her species is superior, she still regards the Zeltrons as beautiful, and has even created a small community of Seiarenei in the planet's jungle (declared a holy site by Zeltrons there because of how the Dremire Queen has been sighted by onlookers several times), who serve as her handmaidens. The very few Zeltrons who make their way past the jungle's hazards and predators are the very best of their brethren; and so when they reach the river where their goddesses dwell, they become a part of the very few Zeltrons who earn the genuine interest of the Seiarenei. This is all part of Aselgis' design, as she desires to observe relations between the Seiarenei and the Zeltrons and learn from the results.
She desires prosperity for her species, but she can also be benevolent to those who willingly offer themselves to them as worshipers.
But, despite all of this, she is still a hunter at heart; she seeks out lonely prey, which is almost exclusively Zeltrons, and seduces them into following her into the depths where they are quick to die. She ignores why she takes so much satisfaction and pleasure in doing this, but the truth is that Aselgis aches for genuine love without even knowing it.
She is rarely angered, but her wrath is something to behold; the other side of her personality is revealed, a venomous witch that manipulates sea serpents to inflict pain on those who would dare harm her "pets", her people, and, most importantly, her loved ones. Few people know what she is capable of doing once she enters such a trance; in this state, she savors the pain of those who would oppose her like the finest of wines.
Seiarenei are renowned for their beauty and grace on both Palamir and Anthemoessa, and while Merope is far from being an exception to this rule, Aselgis is constantly trying to surpass her, jealous of her sister's more "natural" hair color. Her build is feminine, her curves graceful and her fair visage attracting; she treasures this legendary beauty above all else, playing with it constantly as Zeltrons willingly die for a simple kiss of her lips. While Merope surrounds herself in mystery to attract curiosity, Aselgis displays her beauty in all its glory to those who lay their eyes upon her, basking in satisfaction at the awed faces of those who are graced with her sight.
She prefers being in her aquatic form, and loves her tail; covered in turquoise tails with delicate patches of silvery scales here and there, she takes pride in the fact that she and her sister possess bicolored tails. She is 2,10 meters long in such a form, as her tail is much longer than her legs when in human form, and her body weighs around 70kg. When taking the form of a landwalker (which she loathes to do because of how inferior it feels to her aquatic form), she is 1,65m high and weighs 45kg, making her feel frail and vulnerable - a feeling she hates.
Although her skin isn't as sun-kissed as Merope's thanks to her great care for it, it is not pale either. It has a rosy tint to it that only enhances the beauty of it, as her skin is very soft and smooth to the touch, something she knows very well when embracing her prey. One of the greatest differences between Merope and herself is her sister's willingness to keep her scars: Aselgis is horrified by the prospect, preferring to keep herself "perfect", using products to help with healing whenever she is wounded. The idea that her legendary beauty may be marred by a scar is intolerable and terrifying to her.
She has learned to use body language effectively, as the perfection of seduction required so: a prime exemple would be the seduction of a young man of the Zeltron nobility on Palamir. Not a word was spoken (Aselgis' voice is hauntingly beautiful), but it was simply with the way she moved her arms and hands and kicked her tail that she suggested for him to approach and follow her to the depths. Rather than using this for the same reasons and conditions as Merope, she uses this body language to incite people to take certain actions (although this is limited because of the nature of body language). Aselgis prides herself in the finesse and grace with whom she moves her tail, constantly training to invent a new style of underwater "dance" for the Seiarenei; but she is ashamed of her inability to master her land form, despite her ability to go on land and act normally. The fact that she lacks this royal aura she has underwater is a source of great sadness to her, as it limits her reach to find suitable prey.
Her hair is long (reaching to her lower back) and straight. Contrarily to her sister, she cuts her hair, but keeps it as perfect as possible, spending a great deal of her time keeping it in pristine condition. Her turquoise eyes are something that many people have lost themselves into, mesmerizing and enchanting to the soul.
Because her hair, eyes and tail are of the same color, it gives a certain aura to her, which is quite exotic because of the unusual turquoise color it has. Despite her satisfaction at her own beauty, she is very jealous of sister's hair.
Small strands of her hair are one of the highest gifts one can win in the annual games dedicated to the Seiarenei and performed by the Zeltron.
