Ashes To Ashes

Behind one of Ambria’s satellite floating listlessly the Infineon sat still like a bird of prey, ready to strike out at its target. The power was completely shut off leaving the vessel undetected while it kept watch over Ambria. When the Infineon was present one could usually expect a travesty at the hands of Darth Ambroscus, but this time the ship would not be partaking in combat. No this was a mission for only two. Not even the allies of Darth Ambroscus knew what he was doing on Ambria. A select few had of course been warned to avoid the planet for the time being however. Did not want some unfortunate fate to befall an ally. Those upon the ship busied themselves by going through routine repairs or busying themselves while Kruel sat in his personal meditation chamber.

Sitting upon a golden throne his head leaned back and staring at the ceiling of the chamber Kruel seemed at relative peace. His massive chest slowly rose and fell from his breathing. His eyes remained unblinking the crimson orbs never leaving the ceiling. This what was just visible to the plain eye however. Through the force Kruel let his presence radiate out like a beacon. He had completely opened himself to it. Blending the teachings of both the ancient jedi he had studied at the feet of and the great Sith who had further expanded his mind Kruel was quite an anomaly. Both working in tandem with the force while also bending it to his will. The force almost seemed as though it willingly followed Kruel instead of pulling away like it did for many darksiders. It had been so long since Kruel had paid a visit to Ambria, there had once been a great jedi here by the name of Thon. How Kruel wished to have tested his skills against the Jedi this day. Alas the ancient master was gone now and very few remained on the planet. Yet these few would suit the purpose of both Kruel and his ally Ngo.

Pressing a button built into the throne Kruel commed Ngo. “My ancient friend it is time for us to disembark and bring such an event upon this planet that the galaxy shall quake in fear.” Rising from the throne Kruel robed himself in the typical darksider robes. Armor would be the next problem the Sith solved but first he would need a weapon. “The best defense is a good offense.” At the foot of the throne was one Sith female holding a tray holding a large goblet embedded with numerous gems a thick red liquid filling it. The faint smell of copper wafted from it and on each wrist, were fresh wounds that blood still dripped from cascading down her hands and onto the floor. “Thank you my dear, now do bandage yourself my dear. Can’t waste such a precious resource.” Taking the goblet and Kruel took a long gulp of the thick liquid. The taste was sweet on his tongue where others would find it repugnant.

“Yes my lord, do enjoy your meal.” Bowing the girl slowly backed away never turning away from Kruel.

“Oh and acolyte… Make sure you clean up your mess.” Finishing off the goblet Kruel tossed it to the floor and making his way for the shuttle awaiting him and Ngo in the hanger.

" This Era is odd. The Sith as a Religion has fallen into secrets. The Je'daii are non-existent and the Rakata. Mmm." Ngoo stopped talking. It was something he could not get over. His sole desire was to rule the Infinite Empire. It was the motivation behind his traitorous actions and imprisonment within a Eternity Vault. Ngoo was an nominally within the known cosmos and his anger beckoned a great hunger. " I am eager to see this planet and its Lake." Ngoo smirked some and picked the planet in his mind. It would feel his wrath soon enough.

Before the Galaxies current time Ngoo was tasked with wiping out entire cities with is deadly talents. Even to this day his favorite memory of using force drain was a instance when a Kwa was faced against a younger Ngoo. Needless to say the Kwa was foolish to not only teach the Rakata race the ways of the force to him as well. With a simple blink the tall Rakata snapped out of his blast into the past and followed the large [member="Kruel Zing"] to the Hangar. The Dashade was respectable in Ngoos sight but that was all. He was a lesser species that was strong in the force and with a bloody hunger for flesh. This Cannibalistic hunger gave Ngoo and Kruel a common ground making it easier for Ngoo to... well. Lets not go there just yet.

Ambria was waiting.

In the hanger awaiting them was a Shaadlar troopship, yet another marker that showed the age of the Dashade and what era he had truly come from. A time where the Mandalorians had been willing to work with and for the Sith. When they had been willing to fight for nothing more than glory. Whatever happened to those proud Mandos? The ones that weren’t scared to assault a planet for nothing more than sating their bloodlust? The Mandolorians of the current time period didn’t appeal to Kruel in the least. They had forsaken their roots in an attempt to join a galaxy that cared naught for them. Truly a shame, if the Sith and Mandalorians joined forces once again the galaxy would truly quake from the aftermath of what they could accomplish.

This was all a dream… At least for now anyways. There were more pressing issues like the Rakata at his back. Ngoo, while a supposed ally was still a wildcard even among Sith. While backstabbing and political maneuvering were all a part of the grandiose game that the Sith played Ngoo took it to a whole other extreme. Stories of the Rakata calling the other Sith slaves and such had of course reached the Dashade’s ears and the others preached patience but sometimes it required a firm hand to put one in place. If Ngoo didn’t cross Kruel, then Kruel wouldn’t have to put the creature in his place. “It is so refreshing to meet another older than myself. Tell me about the era in which you come from? I’ve only heard tales of your kind. It would’ve been glorious to see you in your people in their prime at the height of their empire.”

Boarding the shuttle no one else awaited besides a lone pilot who was safely sealed away behind a durasteel door. The walls were soundproofed so the Sith Lords could convene and talk amongst themselves till Kruel commed the pilot. “Take us to Lake Nath, my child… With due haste if you would, who knows if some nosey jedi will come and stick their noses in our plans.” Cutting the channel Kruel slid an old looking datapad within his robes.

“It is so hard to find good help these days don’t you think? So few are loyal, or even know what the meaning of the word is. That is why I call these people my children. They have much to learn, but they follow me loyally, they obey as though I am their blood father. This is what you call loyalty, have you ever seen anything like it.” With a jolt the transport lifted up exiting the hanger of the Infineon.

" Well.... Slave. Thats what you would be if the Infinite Empire never fell. Your kind would of been broken and used a warrior, guard or Heavy laborer. Those who resisted would of been eaten, drained of all life, killed, murdered or worse." Ngoo smirked and paused some. You could definatly see some morals missing. " My age is no simple number. I dont even know what year this is, not that is matters now. The Rakata to the Rest of the galaxy were and always will be known as the Builders. Even today our technology can be seen in different models and versions. Lightsaber, Holocrons, Force Runes... The list drips down into everything. Our Technology was the stepping stone of it. Pity majority of it is lost to time."

The tall Alien squinted at [member="Kruel Zing"] and boarded the shuttle with him securing his position in the craft. From there he could continue to speak his mind. " Loyalty? I think you talk too much, Dashade." A brow rose. Ngoo was getting slightly irritated with the direction of the conversation. " Speaking of... Where do your loyalties align?"

Starting with a chuckle and slowly rising to a full bellied laugh Kruel looked down at the Rakata before him. Never had one been so open about what was on their mind, thrown such insults at the Dashade or showed such arrogance. It was not only amusing but refreshing. As the laugh slowly came to a end the darkside began radiating off Kruel in dark waves so thick that a black miasma could’ve possibly been visible. The ship itself began to quake as the telekinetic strength of Kruel displayed itself. Durasteel chairs folded beneath the increasing pressure the floor buckled and the frame of the ship shook uncontrollable. “You know nothing of my people, they would never have fallen to a species such as yours. Being broken is not our specialty killing force users is.” Taking a large step forward closing the distance between himself and the Rakata to where they stood centimeters apart Kruel’s crimson eyes bore into him.

“I have watched kingdoms rise and fall, civilizations brought low, planets destroyed and through all that I have remained. Throughout all that I have remained, I have prevailed and come out on top. Anything or anyone can be surmounted given time. Look at your people.” Kruel said with a scoff not backing away. “I cower from nothing nor no one, nor do any of those I called my kin. So, if you truly think yourself so great then I welcome you to try me and see which one of us leaves this vessel alive.” Letting the surging rage die down Kruel smiled. “I will on the other hand let this occurrence slide. You will receive no second warning. Either show me respect or remain silent.”

Opening his mouth displaying his lamprey mouth and long serpent tongue Kruel backed slowly away. “I will say that your species were great builders. Without them the galaxy would not be at the point it is. Call it a curse or blessing but we live in the present. Both our species are for all intents and purposes extinct its best we stand together instead of apart… Don’t you agree?” With another jolt that wasn’t caused by Kruel’s telekinetic might the ship entered the atmosphere and began a descent towards lake Nath.

Eyes shifted as unnatural effects changed the interior of the shuttle. Ngoo did not speak to interrupt nor did he flinch when [member="Kruel Zing"] approached offended by the Rakatans words. The simple battle of wit was done and what the tall alien wanted from the exchange of words was gained. A trigger or exploit for future use. Ngoo had accepted this small defeat but knew a bigger victory could be within his grasp. " Mere questions, you asked I answered...ssl." His tounge pressed against the top of his mouth forcing a grin. It was obvious what word almost escaped. Slave. " Silence... is the virtue of fools. I am no fool. Respect is still earned not given freely." Ngoo pressed back to the window and watched the stars pass as the ship traveled.

For at-least a minute the Rakata held words back but had to release them when he felt the ship rock signalling to him that the atmosphere had been breached. Looking down he asked inquisitively " Tell me about your "ecstatic" religion sith. Are all zealots or practitioners as energetic as you?" Ngoo paused making sure actually sound curious and not too disrespectful in the deliver. " If so I do believe a greater respect may soon come through your sheer... intensity."

" Its best to stand together, Yes." At this point it was becoming hard to tell if the Alien was mocking or just recycling what was said. Soon the Shuttle would land and work would begin.

Painting the inside of the vessel with the Rakata’s blood would’ve been fitting but Kruel resisted the urge despite the darkside encouraging him. It whispered sweet nothings into his ear, spoke of the benefits of killing and devouring the Rakata. Kruel couldn’t particularly say he despised the other Dark sider but there was a definite distaste for his mannerisms and language. Even the small slip of tongue could’ve ended with Kruel knocking Ngoo into the next century. “If you wish to know about the Sith then you must first understand that there are numerous types of Sith. There are those who see themselves as gods, that believe themselves unbeatable and Lord over others thinking the domains they hold extend their power. There are others who do nothing more than cower in the shadows holding a dagger awaiting the opportune moment to end a bitter rival. Then there are the Sith that know the truth. That understand neither of those are the way to true power. That do not fear exploring the depths of the Darkside to learn the Truth.”

“There is a code that many of the Sith follow.” Stopping and ensuring that Ngoo was paying attention Kruel began reciting the code he had memorized so long ago. “Peace is a lie, There is only Passion. Through passion I gain strength. Through strength I gain power. Through power I gain victory. Through Victory my chains are broken. The Force shall free me.”

“The code preaches to the individual and insists that one do as they will it. That they never stop attempting to better themselves. That they continue down the path of achieving power till they consider themselves free. The main contradiction though is that it is an endless cycle and how one tempers such fierce ambition. Where does it stop? When one becomes, a god rivaling the celestials?”

Coming to a halt the vessel lowered to the ground with the bay doors opening allowing the two sith to exit. Outside they were greeted by a large lake the waters an eerie purple and pink. Steam seemed to rise up from the lake as though a hot spring. Beneath the surface however something dark lurked. A large presence in the force that was the nexus of Ambria. While not many humanoids lived on the planet there was plenty of wildlife that could be drained. It was of course just the start to test the ritual.

[member="Ngoo the Ancient"]

"Free? Free from what yourself?! Tell me [member="Kruel Zing"] How does it make you feel to have significant ties to a ever growing and tightly controlled secert Government whose stranglehold over its members conduct borders on indentured slavery?! Your dogmatic religion that is known in this era as being sith, Leads the the converted like animals to a slaughter house. Do you find solace with this?" Ngoo paused for a breath and exited the shuttle to examine the land around him then he continued.

" Disciples of a crooked deity that flaunts power or order over all. A puppet with strings? If not to a physical leader then to a "Force" we all believe that lives around us." Ngoo began sprinting in large wide strides away from the shuttle to a lush tree.

His voice booming out words. DId he ever breathe? " This tree here is part of the "Force" on some fundemental level and yet through my will I can change that." Red lightning burst forth draining all the life from the large tree and the life around it. " Truth be told I have fought the sith before. Their no need to carefully indoctrinate me. Their is no being free not truly and that is the natural order of the universe."

His gaze fell on the lake nearby. This was it he could feel it. Sitting down to meditate in the darkness Ngoo opened himself up the the nexus and in an instant the grow adjacent to his location began to wither and die. Turned to ash as if a invisible hand of death had passed by and this was only the beginning. " How can a sith master and become free from himself while he serves another?" The Darkside wafted off Ngoo like Cancer now. " Can you feel it? Can you hear "The" voice? Is the Pre'dor of said government speaking to you now?"

A small black orb began to form seven feet away from the alien. Standing up and backing away a considerable distance the Rakata remained strong in focus, He had to if he wanted to live. "Assist me or we both will perish a horrible death." he warned.

“Do you think I do not know the flaws of the Sith? The controversies and such surrounding it? The paradoxes it creates through its very own code and those that follow it? I know about the Sith Code and I said most. I do not look to free only myself Ngoo as appearances can always be deceiving. I am more free than any of you. I may stand alongside Cyril but I do not serve. I fight for a greater day for my people. What do you fight for? Hmm?” Kruel asked, this time he was not offended by the statements the Dark Jedi was making, it mattered little now. They both fought for the same team and for their own goals such was the way of the dark. They could never all be truly unified without conflict, to take away conflict would destroy the foundations of how the Sith became stronger.

The conversation between Ngoo and Kruel was something that would not commonly be found among those of the light nor any young acolyte. This was a conversation of minds centuries, even millennia old. Watching as the life was stripped from the tree and the darkside poured off of Ngoo in a black miasma Kruel offered his own grin. “You can say we are not truly free, but there is a way to do so. While you can stay bound to your mortal life one day I shall ascend past you all no longer needing this shell.” Kruel spoke of becoming one with the force. Many darksiders searched for immortality but merging themselves with the force was near universally despised. They despised the fact of living without a mortal body. Such foolish minds.

Eyes now closing Kruel reached down to the depths of Lake Nath feeding on the dark power of the nexus that lie below. The energy surged through him and Kruel released it in waves merging his own power with Ngoo’s. The air around them instantly dropped to freezing and the lake began to freeze over. Above the sky became overcast a drizzle of rain beginning to fall.

[member="Ngoo the Ancient"]

Silence finally became a reality. This was tedious to sustain and very very dangerous, even a minor slip would spell doom for all in later stages. With the new in-flux of darkside energy Ngoo blasted the black sphere by him with more and more power. Tilting his head he carefully expanded the Death field around himself and [member="Kruel Zing"] the large dashade. Releasing a sigh the Rakata closed his eyes to better help himself concentrate. The two sith lords were now entombed in the bubble of volatile darkside power. This was the point of no return.

Outside the black sphere there was only death. The grass and wildlife had already began to wither and decay. The lake had froze over and animals caught in the nearby expansion died in horrifically painful ways. A veil of transparent energy that stripped away the living, a veil that expands with every passing moment directed to push out ward. " More!" he shouted breathing in the negative feelings that encase Ambria, rage ate at Ngoos heart. His struggle to contain himself had direct results on the death field around him and Kruel. The Sphere began to shake. What was this?

It was offense.

Letting his arms fall to his sides and popping his neck, The Rakata stared at [member="Kruel Zing"]. The drizzle of rain had turned heavy and storms began to form in the region they were working in. Lightning struck in the distance and thunder rattled the very winds causing Ngoo to smile as wide as he could. " My species would have never fallen to a species like yours. Hehe!" Ngoo dropped his part of his focus on the Death Field around them causing it to shrink inward some. " Well... Anything thing or in this case anyone, can be surmounted given time. Slave!" he threatened and mocked once more. With Ngoos focus shifted to the foolish Kruel Zing the Death field around them was only being held up by the darkside nexus and the Darkside sought to devour everything!!!

" Your very mind is rudimentary! And yet you have the nerve to mock those infinitely greater than you?! You Karking fool. You insignificant parasitic scum!" The Death Field shrank around them once more from all angles making the area of safety about the size of a standard arena.. how suiting. With no respect for his well being Ngoo continued to mock and test his new "ally" to see if he would bend or break. It took two to direct such massive power.

" Eons before your time the Rakata remained the dominant species of the galaxy. The Rakata were the apex of life during the Infinite Empire! Forcing lesser species; Like yourself.. to serve our every need. You cannot conceive of a galaxy that bends to my kinds will and you dont have to... " he expressed and began to speak a little softer. His mood was all over the place it was as if the gates of hell had been unleashed apon a single soul.

" All I require of you slave is that you simply kneel before a Pre'dor of old and admit that I N'goo the Ancient, Has bested you." Ngoos wide eyes now beamed at [member="Kruel Zing"] with sheer and utter insanity and this was the plan from the start. There were reasons Ngoo was inprisoned within a Eternity Vault. This was one of them.

" Well?!" he tapped his three digit-ed foot on the ground.

Concentrating on controlling the death field along with Ngoo, Kruel opened himself up to the dying planet of Ambria, to the creatures upon it that were now having their lives extinguished. With each death Kruel felt more power flow into his being, even the Hsiss were not immune to the death field as they too were drained their bodies crumbling to dust. The families and companies upon Ambria would see the Death Field coming in a massive wave their fear and terror feeding the Dashade and granting him more strength. Eyes open he looked to the sky unblinking as the rain fell. The rain could not even touch the two individuals as it too was swallowed up in the deathfield instantly. Such power, such a magnitude. Kruel had never felt something like this since the likes of Nihlus, and it felt every bit as good as he had imagined it to be. The Darkside whipped around the two in a flurry unmatched by the light, the entire planet itself cried out before their display of power.

Then the ritual that had been going so right took a turn for the worse and guess who was at the center of it… Ngoo. Head lowering Kruel glowered at the dark jedi opposite of him. Kruel felt the oppressive weight of the death field now as he had been left to wield and control it alone. This rakata was insane and willing to risk both their lives to simply prove a point to Kruel. The insults and berating had begun and Kruel could feel the surge of emotions from the Rakata. The man could’ve been diagnosed as bipolar if Kruel was a therapist. Kruel wanted to respond but it took his concentration to ensure that the deathfield not collapse on them both. He still had much to do in the galaxy and apprentices to train.

Crimson Orbs staring at Ngoo, Kruel remained silent offering a slight smile. Ngoo wasn’t the only one who could feed on others. Kruel was Darth Ambroscus, devourer of all! Consume essence transcended the bounds of just feeding on the dark emotions emitted by others but the darkside itself. They remained at not only the center of a nexus but Ngoo was like a battery Kruel could feed on. Consume Essence was known to make the other individuals that were being fed upon weaker over time and Kruel began feeding on Ngoo and the nexus below. It was like taking a huge chunk of flesh. With a breath Kruel breathed in the darkside and it empowered him, the deathfield that had been threatening their lives stabilized and began to expand again, this time off the sheer might of Kruel’s power. “You fool! Your power feeds me! You call me the slave when you will never rise above being so. Your power means nothing against me as I feed on it! You say you wouldn’t fall to my species but look at you now. I am the one in control. Look at me! I am the Master now! You are my slave! Kneel before me or else I shall devour your entire being!”

Arms spreading wide Kruel released the large waves of darkside power he had been harnessing continuing on with the ritual. “Or you will take your place one again and finish this ritual!”

" I... I... As you wish." he said looking around as if for answer. The plan was going accordingly with zero in perfections. Manifestations of the darkside could be seen around them, no thanks to the Dasahde feeding on so much. His skill with consume essence was remarkable in the Rakatas eyes thus why his outburst was needed on his behalf. The emotions that swelled out of Ngoo were dimmed down to insignificant once he calmed his mind. An act? Being in mind prison for for such a long period of time one could do little more then master their own minds and feelings. It was almost a requirement if escape was wanted.

" And whats yours is mine." He muttered sprinting toward [member="Kruel Zing"] unnatural speed just to close the gap. Red tendrils exploding from his body to the manifesting darkside energies around him, Harvested quickly with no haste. With a grim embrace the Rakata wrapped himself around the Dashade taking the power he poured out with abundance and taking it from himself in great amounts, Meanwhile his physical touch on the Dashades body focused on Draining his very vitality. Force Diminish. A task that seemed worthless but due to their force resistant nature, but with this much power fueling them both? This was something that had to be tested. Time was the judge.

Affects of such power was not without flaw on physical form and he knew it! He exploited it!! This was raw power taken in from a conduit directly. Light shined from the Tall Aliens mouth and eyes in a whimsical fashion sucking in all the energy he could and shifted it into his own body. Rapid growth began to occur, his voice deepened and overall mass increased greatly.

This was insanity at times finest. The Death field ritual was still not finished!
