Special Features:

• Bifurcating cyclical-ignition phase (can operate underwater).
• Specially tuned to require no dimetris circuits in activation loop (immune to cortosis).
• Can be adjusted to deflect Ssi-Ruuvi paddle beams instead of blasterfire. All lightsabres are capable of being retuned for this, with enough time and work, but Ashin's sabre has a dedicated switch for this transition, seeing as she's gone to war with the Ssi-Ruuk more than once and will have to again.
• Kaiburr crystal allows increased Force connection while on Mimban, especially at the Temple of Pomojema (crystal recovered from former lightsabre), and affinity with other Kaiburr/kyber crystals.
• Blade adjustment controls based on Anakin Skywalker and Exar Kun's lightsabres. Can adjust blade size on a spectrum from small cutting torch to double normal length, comparable to Skywalker's lightsabre. Can adjust intensity from training (minor burns) to normal to advanced cutting power, comparable to Kun's lightsabre. Cannot make blade insubstantial (a quality of Kun's sabre).

Description: After her original lightsabre was heavily damaged on Bardotta during an operation against the Frangawl, Ashin cannibalized the Kaiburr crystal shard inside it. Her other focusing crystals were shattered in the incident. Her new lightsabre took a different tack, relying on historical advances of lightsabre technology. Fundamentally, this collection of existing technological improvements means only that this lightsabre cuts things and blocks things in a reliable manner. As with her former lightsabre, this one has a burnt-orange blade, derived from the reddish Kaiburr crystal shard. Ashin didn't bother to secure lightsabre-resistant materials for the hilt: she is a lightsabre-resistant material, and this weapon is never far from her. Nor did she bother to obtain particularly unique focusing crystals apart from the one she already had. Instead, she prioritized good shock absorption, precision-crafted internals, and quality electronics. The lightsabre contains a Nightsister blood trail, the same technique that she and her wife have always used to keep track of each other. This link cannot be detected by others, but is generally complicated by ysalamir fields. It allows Ashin to locate her lightsabre across any distance.
