BIOGRAPHY:
Loyal isn't a word you would describe Ashley, not in relation to any individual, she is however loyal to power, something the rising Imperial Remnant has, and something it affords her the opportunity to gain significant amounts of. At 16 she enlisted as a cadet in the Imperial army and through her training achieved above average scores, her goal was the stormtrooper corps but enough of her training group was ahead that she did not fall into the top percentage that got selected. Seeing no other way Ashley began working in the background to be moved up.
First she tried sabotaging the scores moving himself just past the threshold, unfortunately the alteration was discovered and the scores were restored from a backup believing to have been a clerical error. Her second attempt was far more successful, sneaking into the armoury and sabotaging the sights on a handful of blasters, this significantly dropped the scores of a few of the higher cadets. Her third and final attempt was to secure the last spot in which she murdered a cadet and dumped the body in the trash compacter, using a stolen code cylinder to hide the evidence.
Her murder prompted an investigation by Imperial Intelligence, and with a professional eye applied to the situation her careful planning slowly fell apart, the framing of an officer fell apart when the alibi was confirmed by a cantina's security holo. Her *modification* of the blaster sights was discovered when the alterations were traced back to her datapad, and her initial changing of the scores was discovered when the schedules showed she was acting temporarily as a courier.
Pulled aside by the agent doing the investigation, she was given an offer; refine the skills she has as an Intelligence officer, or take the fall for her crime, summery execution and a dishonourable discharge. Given no real choice she accepted an went on to train further with the murder being pinned on some poor unforgettable low point cadet.
