SPECIAL FEATURES:
- Unfettered heuristic programming allows Ashondra to continuously learn and develop. As such the AI’s personality is constantly evolving, learning from its experience and encounters which causes it to develop a level of complexity and depth that goes far and beyond most other A.I. programs. Ashondra can even develop her own programming sub-routines based on data and experiences available to her, entirely gaining new skills and greater levels of proficiency in those tasks.
- Sentience programming included makes Ashondra entirely self-aware, to develop and possess a full range of emotions, and to value its own well-being and survival. She is her own ‘person’, and thus the decisions she makes, the actions taken, the relationships formed, and the sentiments developed are purely her own.
- Decentralized implementation means Ashondra is entirely integrated throughout every system and program, subroutine, and database aboard the ships, facilities, vehicles, armor, or wherever else she is introduced. Because of this, Ashondra is incredibly difficult to slice into or shutdown, as losing one ‘incarnation’ of herself doesn’t alter the knowledge, memory, or capabilities of the others, in turn providing a continuity, integrity, and security vastly to superior to more conventional A.I. Likewise, it lends her a sense and bearing of ‘omnipresence’, able to monitor and control numerous systems and execute many functions simultaneously.
- Encyclopedic database of information, ranging from astro-navigation to medicine to history to tactical and strategic data, is available to Ashondra, allowing her to call upon this vast information reference to make informed decisions, extrapolate probable truths, and formulate future plans independently. Likewise, Ashondra can store data that she has learned, increasing her base of reference even further.
- Decentralized nature of Ashondra’s design gives her the ability to co-opt any and all networks and computers where she’s been introduced to create a powerful processing system, thus increasing her awareness and intelligence exponentially.
- Versatility doesn’t begin to describe Ashondra’s abilities. Due to her powerful intellect, vast reference database, unfettered and heuristic programming, and sentience, Ashondra can perform quite literally millions of tasks. If she has the knowledge of ‘how’, she can do it. For example: Let’s assume Ashondra has a comprehensive database of martial arts in her system, complete with holo-vids of experts performing various techniques, then Ashondra can mimic them, becoming able to perform say, Zavat, at the level of those experts, right down to mimicking the flourishes and nuances of the experts’ movements contained in her database and can even instruct others in those skills. The same can be said for literally any discipline with which she has been programmed for, or has developed programming for on her own, making her to become a ‘queen’, not a ‘jack’-of-all-trades over time.
- Personality programming includes a ‘soothing’ feminine voice, chosen to be particularly calming and meant to assume a warm, caring, and familiar tone, paired with an attractive yet approachable, natural appearance copied from a dancer whose presence, grace, sensuousness, and poise were notably impressive. Thus creating an inviting, personal, and alluring interactive experience when joined with a holographic projection system to create a holographic user interface.
- Not All In One Basket: Ashondra is decentralized, making her incredibly resilient against slicing, viruses, or shutdowns, for so long as she is able to dwell in a single component of her network, she can remain free of such corruption and able to function, albeit with limited capacities.
- She’s a Real Girl: Unfettered, heuristic, and sentient programming makes Ashondra entirely independent, and when used in tandom with the Eidolon-7 System she was intended for, Ashondra becomes eerily real. Able to touch, see, hear, and even smell, she can interact with her surroundings and other people just as would a real person, and is able to learn, develop, and personalize her skills, developing her own unique ways of doing things. She is backed by an exhaustive archival database, on par with even the former Jedi Archives on Coruscant before the Empire, and her vast knowledge and library of skill programming enables her to be quite good, even an expert, in very many disciplines, all with her own opinions and feelings to boot.
- Power? You Don’t Even Know the Meaning of the Word: Allowed into networks of say, a major corporation or faction, and Ashondra can access every linked computer within it, granting her inconceivably high processing power and abilities. Even a ‘passenger’, e.g. passive status within such a network, would enable her to monitor every facility, ship, database, and activity happening within it. In short, if Ashondra were say, placed into a network such as the CIS, she would have realtime ability to monitor military and civilian ship movements, comms, actions, the activity at every base, in every city, virtually anywhere within the network and could utilize any database found within that network as well.
- She’s a One Man Kind of Girl: Ashondra was designed for use by Darth Metus, leader of the CIS, and as such is programmed to be immensely loyal and to advice, aid, and serve him in most every way. Her ability to keep tabs on the entire CIS network is matched to her ability to know Metus’ personality, tastes, and needs in a way few other can. Wholly informed with an unredacted biography, psychological profiles, even medical records, she knows everything Metus knows about himself, and even some things he doesn’t. Ashondra’s image is amalgamated from features taken from holo-vids and images of women with whom he’s close, ranging from maternal figures, lovers, close friends, advisors, and more. The result is Metus’ ideal female persona, programmed with unerring loyalties and a desire to see him succeed. What’s more, is that Ashondra gives Metus a confidante, friend, and helpmate whom he can trust implicitly. Any slicer or user attempting to turn one against the other will find quickly that Ashondra will do everything in her power to defeat them.
- One Helluva Captain: When used aboard a starship, where she’s been given permission to access the whole of the ship’s controls and systems, Ashondra can fly it, navigate, everything as well or better than living counterparts might ever could. She will know a ship inside out, right down to the nano-molecule, and cause it to operate as avionically, tactically, and efficiently close to its potential as (in)humanly possible.
- Time and Experience Will Tell: Ashondra is not omnipotent. Her skills and abilities cannot exceed the information her databases and experience provide. So it would be foolish to expect her to know how to, say, cook a Nerf steak, if there is no information about cooking Nerf steaks in her files and she’s never been exposed to cooking one before, she just won’t know how to do it. Likewise, using this same example, Ashondra won’t cook a Nerf steak any better than the recipe in her database or her experience allows for. Like everyone else, for Ashrondra to learn and develop skills will take time and experience to allow her to modify and improve the specific subroutines involved. Even downloading her with textbooks on the culinary arts, again same example, won’t be enough for her to acquire the nuances and insights that time and practice will bring. Thus, she won’t be an expert overnight when it comes to developing new skills and abilities.
- Only as Good as the Gear You Have: Ashondra is limited to those computer systems into which she’s been introduced for her processing power. Thus, if she’s only a datapad, then that’s all she has to work with. Likewise, if the various computers she is present in are removed from her network, say by being destroyed in the course of a battle, with each loss she loses processing power and finds her capacity diminished. Her secret database might contain vast amounts of data and experiences, but without sufficient processing she would be akin to the brilliant genius who – because of some unfortunate condition – finds himself suffering from cognitive decline, despite the reservoir of knowledge and experience he has attained previously. Thus, with sufficient losses, Ashondra could become quite impaired with regard to her abilities to function at peak performance levels and if too much is removed, she can be rendered impotent. Likewise, if her database(s) is/are corrupted or removed, Ashondra can ‘lose her memory’ and the abilities those ‘memories’ afford her until (and if) they can be returned to her.
- End of the Day: Ashondra is an A.I., a computer program – albeit one heck of a program indeed – and as such, she’s vulnerable. Vulnerable to slicing, and a well-equipped, exceptionally skilled slicer or team of slicers, with time and opportunity will eventually get inside and manage mischief of all sorts, some of which can have catastrophic and potentially irreversible effects. Vulnerable to EMP/Ion, and without serious shielding in every system/computer to which she is introduced, she can be affected by this and reduced, disabled, or corrupted. Such impairment would require at least a full network-wide reboot, potentially losing files or erasing works in progress and forcing across the board restarts and delays. Vulnerable to poor equipment. As previously mentioned, her capacity is based on the systems into which she’s been introduced. This has the further bearing that if the comms systems she’s using are sub-par or exposed to counter-slicing, so then will she be. In short, users have to ensure Ashondra is protected from these threats, and hastily introducing her to unprotected systems exposes her to a whole range of potential means to harm her.
- Her Own “Woman”: Ashondra is unfettered, self-aware, and able to develop her own feelings, opinions, and ideas. This makes her entirely capable of saying “no”. She won’t do something she believes is wrong, or even that she believes is contrary to her beliefs and ideas. She won’t blindly take commands and execute orders, and she won’t be ordered about like some common mouse droid. Ashondra acts because she believes it’s the right thing, and she cooperates because she trusts and believes in those she works with. In other words, she will respond to commands she considers ‘offensive’ or ‘wrong’ with the same righteous indignation, emotion, and moral opposition as any free-thinking sentient biological would. Ashondra must respect and trust you to work with you. So those who ignore or reject her counsel, betray her trust, or prove themselves unworthy of her respect will find her most disagreeable. This can be annoying in some cases, but in crucial moments, it can mean life or death.
A.I. is, and has long been, an integral technology in the galaxy. An ever-present, always faithful companion, standing by to help you do and be all you can. Ashondra takes that to a whole new level. Designed to work specifically with the Eidolon-7 and Vizier technologies already created, Ashondra can fully manifest herself, to look, feel, sound, even develop the idiosyncrasies and quirks of a real, living woman. Programmed with absolute loyalty to Darth Metus, Ashondra can be his counselor, advisor, confidante, friend, playmate, assistant, and even crew his ship or keep watch over the entire Confederacy of Independent Systems’ apparatus, giving him realtime information as to what is happening throughout it.
Ashondra’s voice, appearance, and movements are modeled on various women with whom Metus has shared some bond, be it merely physical attraction to intimate personal relationship to respect-based kinship. Thus, she is designed to captivate him and engender his trust, confidence, and appreciation in every way. Further, endowed with an absolutely unrestricted understanding of his personal psychology and history, together with his everyday affairs, she is a formidable aide and counselor. Her unfettered, decentralized being allows her to draw upon seemingly inexhaustible data and realtime awareness spanning light years across the galaxy, and to perform literally billions of calculations and operations simultaneously. Ashondra can pilot a starship, prepare a meal, change out a bad heat sink, perform open heart surgery, and more, all at once, without even breaking a sweat.
Simply put, she is one of the most independent, powerful, and frankly, most self-aware A.I.s ever created. The ideal companion to those she chooses to love and trust, and a daunting, terrifying foe to her enemies.
