- Description: Ashspawn are carbon-based lifeforms composed of ash that surround a gemstone, the real body of the Ashspawn. They typically have humanoid forms, but vary in appearence. They have a detached, floating head and hair made of fire, which can come in many colors.

- Distinctions: Ashspawn are composed of ash, assuming a humanoid form around their main gemstone bodies. They have detached heads that float and hair composed of fire. This strange appearence is a result of their existance as Force-born beings. Ashspawn are created when a wayward soul latches onto a dead shard.

- General behavior: Few Ashspawn exist at a time, so they hardly have the numbers to gather and develop a culture. Since they are born from wayward souls that were once living people, they tend to share behavioral traits with the individual they derive from, though they tend to lean towards spiritual behavior in general. They all seem to share a general trait of disliking violence.
Ashspawn are very rare carbon based lifeforms, a cousin of the Shard concieved by mysterious means. Through some way or another, wayward souls of the recently departed may latch onto a dead Shard, birthing this mysterious entity. They typically assume humanoid forms composed of ash around the gemstone that is their main body, often resembling the individual the soul that inhabits the stone once belonged to. Ashspawn have disconnected, floating heads, with flowing hair composed of a strange fire with healing properties. Being born of the force allows them to keep this form. This new-found ability does not come without a cost, however, as Ashspawn are typically fragile, weak to water, and suseptible to Force suppressants as a result of being born from the Force itself. Despite being refered to as 'a second chance at life' for those who have passed prematurely, it seems Ashspawn do not retain any memories of the soul that inhabits them. Being derived from Shards, Ashspawn only come into existance on Orax. It has been a long time since one has been born, so long that they are believed to be little more than a fairy tale.
