- Wealth: High: Sitting near two major aurodium mines and harvesting large patties of rice. The village has always has excessive amounts of food and materials they they can sell off to their neighbors and further out to the larger cities.
- Stability: High: TIghtly controlled and overseen by the lady of the dawn. Shōjō controls from the fortress the villages around the region carefully with each house paying tribute and her Onna in the streets.
- Freedom & Oppression: THe village lives in a state of control. The Fortress of the Dawn oversees the region and controls the flow of the mines and credits in the area but the people are not harmed. They are well taken care of and protected so long as they follow the laws laid down around them. Expansion of homes is gifted by Sawa for those most loyal and marriages are overseen by her to ensure the strongest of families within the region. The farms and mines are controlled by her but the wages paid are larger then other places to make them content... trade with other cities is encouraged and access to the holonet is key with high speed connections on par with the major cities.
- Description: Ancient and rural, the village of Ashthorne sits along side the river leading to the dawn fortreess and has several aurodium mines that are laid claim to. Farm land around the outer areas and a design of simplistic hiding the rest beneath. They are one of the more advanced areas, housing under wooden panels advanced living modules which allow for comfort and protection. With trees around the village and a stage able to be seen where they preform plays. The main houses that oversee and control Ashthorne.
Yuki House: THe largest house and built by the families ancestor. It has been added onto over the centuries and the family itself have overseen the village answering directly to Sawa for just as long. The aurodium trade has made them very rich.
Namimi House: Home to Sawa's servants/scouts/playthings Rava and Akano Namimi that have been allowed to live outside of the fortress itself and have their own life. Secretly they oversee Yuki and her family ensuring they remain loyal as with many of the others in the village.
Bridge of Dragons: Connecting the two sides of the village and where the children release paper lanterns into the air during festivals.
Aurodium Mines: scattered throughout the village, several mines were opened and produce the metal that has given the village its wealth selling to banks and traders offworld.
Kadagawa: AN ancient house thaat houses Sawa's old mentor the Lady Kadagawa from the Necropolis. She reports to Sawa and keep elements of the village under control from feeding on the populace.
Undertown: Created within the remnants of the mines where they have been clearing out and reinforcing the roofs. The undertown houses more of the predators of the village who come out to defend it and the larger stockpiles of materials that they sell off to the Anshin's foreign markets.
SECURITY
Maximum: Defended heavily with the fortress near it, the town provides one of the layers of defense and from the surface appears normal just behind heavily defended walls made to repel invaders and with sectional shielding provided by a power facility under ground. It connects with the Fortress of the Dawns defenses and many of the others for towns within the region.

The village of Ashthorne was built around the time of the Fortress of the Dawn, with the mines there was a need to have at the time slaves and workers who would mine it for the Onyx Empress. The soldiers who oversaw the mines for the fortress letting only some of the most favored of the Empress settle there in the main houses to oversee the mines. Once Sawa returned to the fortress she had encountered in her youth she brought several from the Necropolis who would serve her establishing them in positions of the village and surrounded villages. One of them was the Yuki family who were loyal but another was her mentor the Lady Kadagawa.
Retaking though and laying claim were important... Sawa was not a princess or ruler on Atrisia... an old prefect from an academy during a rebellion and war. She had to fight for it, she had to endeavor and worked with the Onyx empress in a way mostly agreeing to act in her interest with the mines. Sawa would oversee them and in exchange she would be the region lord in charge of it all. the mountains were important and even more so as they pushed outwards and overtook the areas of the region until it touched the mountains. The village was able to hold the mines and they had worked on a few things to improve the lives and capacity for slaves.
The years would see the village developing itself... with an emphasis on authority and the mining activities as they dug deep and expanded. Families were born, other came in to find their fortune and were taxed heavily on their labor but they were also given the best protection that could be offered. Sawa ensured many of them were able to survive and she kept them strong. Falling back on the old adage A village is made of brick and wood, the strong make many. The starving make few. The dead make none. It was not beneficial to them to starve the miners and horde the profits though they could do that easily as the mines flowed with aurodium and gemstones.
The centuries themselves though were beneficial to the village and the fortress of the dawn. As they worked together and bbuilt the place up with expansions to farming lands as well as some aspects of raising soldiers. Sawa wanted the village to fund her soldiers and they used that influence to attract top mercenaries to the village who would train her soldiers in many different aspects of combat. A village elder was installed who would oversee the day to day operations of the mines and report to Sawa, her old mentor was there of course but the energy vampire was a powerful one who didn't have the needed skills of finance.
For thousands of years it was simple enough and benefited from what Atrisia benefited from the village continued to trade and add to the economy of Atrisia while training and slowly more were converted to serving Sawa and the ones at the dawn fotress. The Onna continued to grow stronger within the village and when the plague came they were small enough and isolated to not be as harmed but there was still plenty of deaths just easier to recover as the galaxy was plunged into a dark age and Atrisia's golden age ended with death and in some cases violence as the Onna were needing to be used to keep control of the region.
When war broke out with the usurper and his offworld allies Sawa made sure they stayed out of the area. Returning and reinforcing the villages as well as the fortress with monsters. The resistance there fought well and managed to use the five older fortresses like a bulwark to stop and herd enemy forces. When it was over the new emperor thanked them and the people but didn't do much else honoring the sacrifices of the village an relying on their stockpiles of materials for reconstruction. Other attacks like the netherworld and the return of mythos brought out the armies of Onna which were working to become the dominant force in the region with the five forts constituting its defensive force.
With the rising of the Jishi era they gave worked to improve the output of the mines as well as the stockpiles of materials that are being used. The village sells off materials for the Anshin's marketplace to offworlders. They have grown richer with even a number of the miners having lavish housings but the village itself remains very classical with two story homes or long halls rather then bbuildings and a city scape. Letting it appear simple and rural but high end technology is used with the defensive walls from the fortress to protect it and it has its own sectional shieldikng to protect from orbital bombardment.
The village has continued under the supervision and direction of the overseers from House Yuki and Kadagawa. With the mines using Alchemical Shifter to turn even junk into materials that can be sold off. With molecular furnaces in the living modules that allows them to be largely self sustaining as well as produce their own materials. THe river has a massive and impressive crystasteel viewing port that allows looking into the river that runs through the village and filters the light that comes through the waters to refract and illuminate the underground area. Sawa has spent considerable time making sure the village is well cared for to produce plenty.
