Scourge
In Hell i'll be in good company
Coruscant, Outside the Old Senate Tower…
Scourge sat atop a large high rise overlooking the cityscape. His target would be passing soon… He got down in the prone position and prepped the disposable A295 sniper rifle he had bought the other day. Wasn’t as reliable or effective as higher end rifles, but it was almost untraceable and that’s what Scourge needed. He screwed the barrel on and attached the scope. Calibrated the sight so that the weapon would fire straight and true. When all was set Scourge set the tripod up and aimed down the sight.
His target was a local government official. A do-gooder who refused to pay the Black Sun’s what he owed them. As a result the Black Suns hired Scourge. He usually didn’t take such low paying jobs, but it had been some time since his last big contract. Mostly because he had spent a large portion of time locked up in Maximum security prison on Belsavis. So long, that many people had forgotten his name. But, his time locked up alone in isolation had taught him a few things… Trust the voices. They chastised him, but they also had their uses.
Here they come, worming their way into the grey matter of my brain…
He’s coming… Can’t you smell him… They began
Scourge sniffed at the light breeze flowing through the upper levels of the city. All he could smell was smog and poodoo.
No.
His blood smells of purity, kindness, and love. He’s a good man… They told him
Scourge thought he could smell it now…
Mmmm, smells tasty….
You really are a terrible person They chided him
I don’t care.
His targets speeder began to fly by. He zoomed in on the man’s face, he always liked to get a good look at his target before he killed them.
Stop. They commanded
Target… 111 meters
Firing Direction.. West
Please stop. The voices pleaded
Muzzle Velocity… 2,520 m/s
Why do you do this to us? They asked hopelessly
BANG.
Scourge pulled the trigger and the blast went barreling towards the target. Scourge didn’t even feel the kickback while he was in his red Beskar’gam. The politician’s head exploded into a red mist and Scourge barked a wicked laugh. He picked up the rifle and dropped it from the top of the skyscraper and into the undercity. Scourge hopped into his stolen speeder and headed for the local Cantina, The Helion, where he was to meet his contact from the Black Sun...
