Assassin Planning!

Part of this forum is for it to be a place for all of us to chat about the group itself! To flesh it out of course, and hopefully make it something many people will enjoy.


As this is the goal, any ideas are asked to be posted here to keep it all fluid (Not that there's another place to post yet!)

So! What do you lot think?

I like the idea of it. I also feel like we should post a ranking structure, complete with tags for each rank. If you want, I can request they be made. And we could use a specialized armory thread, giving people equipment to work with. The higher rank you achieve, the more equipment you can access.

Well for starters we need flesh out what we want in terms of organization. I don't want anything overly complex, and we can use ranks of the Sith that already in place for are rank and title system. Now part of what I wanted to see this grow into is the Antithesis of the Jedi Shadows. We work covertly in the 'shadows' and do non engage our enemies in open or pitched battle.

I completely agree with that idea. The Assassins were suppose to be the Antithesis of the Shadows, at least in Kotor 2. If they truly become that here, we're looking at the ability to do some really neat and unique pvp with the Shadows themselves.

However, I still think that the Assassins should be able to hold themselves in an open or pitched battle. As a smack against the Jedi Shadows who only operate in the shadows themselves, the Assassins could be expert duelests and assassins. This doesn't mean an assassin will be commanding an army or anything of the sort, but if they get drawn out of the shadows it won't be as easy as most would expect.
 
As the owner of Krayt Industries, I would be willing to act as both a monetary supporter of the assassins and also as a sort of quartermaster in making unique tech for the group as well. Arcanix isn't an assassin herself, much more a sorceress, but she would want to support her allies.

Especially if it means being the counter to those bloody Jedi Shadows that want to DESTROy OUR KNOWLEDGE AND ARTIFACTS!!!!

ahem sorry, bit passionate about those.

[member="Darth Ferus"]. Fair enough, we don't need to control how people want to fight their battles and duels. So where do we want are Base of operations to be? And wants to get involved in staking the place out.

As for the Base of Operations, I've no idea. Somewhere in OS space for the time being until we're off the ground. But I'm not sure what planets we have.

I would actually pick Eclipse for a home base for the Assassins

It's in the middle of an asteroid field, so natural protection, and it's in the Deep Core so very hard to access without proper security clearances.

Could easily make it a fortress world for the Assassins
 
[member="Darth Ferus"], I meant who wants to like be in a thread where we establish the Base of operations. And we have a good location: Recopia. Mallif Cove on Recopia was once home to a hidden fortress belonging to the Seyugi Dervishes, a group of assassins lost and forgotten to time. Its in OS space and the fortress underground, on an rural planet with weather conditions avoided by most.

That right there sounds like a good place to go. Not only would it be a good building to defend in, but the ability to search for more info, rebuild the place through RP, uncover hidden secrets.

All provides more and more RP.


As for who starts the thread, I can tomorrow before work.
 
Alright we got something going. Do we want to use the monks in the monastery above the fortress as as a cover? Or are we borrowing to much from assassins creed?

It makes too much IC sense not to use the monks honestly. To back off simply because it seems to close to something else doesn't seem right to me. OOC affecting IC, y'know?

I say we use the monks.

But, I do wanna know how the rest of ya feel about that.

Sounds good to me.

Also, for a logo/symbol, we could take inspiration from Oblivion/Skyrim's dark brotherhood, with a blood-print of a hand.
Just so we aren't copying Assassins Creed too much.
