Years had passed since Kerstan had last thought about the children of Teyla Ee-everwest, or whatever name she called herself now. Ferian had been distant, the alchemist was certain the best way to garner his attention was to finish what his grandfather had begun. He had accomplished so much more. It had been her first born twins which Kerstan had taken that allowed him to further his own work.

He had made perfection once, but fell short each time. The Sith was constantly challenging himself, pressing beyond the limits of what he thought possible in order to prove that perfection could be achieved again. Time would tell if he had succeeded with the Riggs twins, but for now their DNA would help fuel the soldiers he had set himself to create. Aine would not be the only creation of his to walk among the living. She was lust and death personified, but Kerstan would make a legion.

Something had pulled the Sith back to the scene of his inhumane experiments. Yavin had not been his only lab, simply the only one he had managed to keep a secret. Teyla had found his other, retrieved her children, and left before he could capture her. It was the only failure he attributed to himself. Oh how his grandfather would have smiled at regaining his prized pet project. Had it not been for the fact he wished to create the perfect army, his life would be spent hunting her down. She was not the goal. She was not a priority.

The broken glass from shattered equipment littered the floor. Each step produced a crunch as heavy boots pressed the pieces into the duracrete. It was a soothing sound to Kerstan for some reason. He could feel the anger as though it were fresh. It fueled, heightened his senses. It was not until then he realized he was not alone.

She was there!

“Has it been you behind my summons all this time? How old are they now… I am certain they have come into the abilities by now?”

He turned to find her. Kerstan wanted to see the face of the woman that had outsmarted him. It was rare that anyone did, and he certainly would never forget this one.
