Intent: To create an incredibly destructive, versatile, reliable and mass-produced Rocket Launcher for use by Mandalorians or approved individuals.
Development Thread:
Manufacturer: ArmTech Systems Incorporated
Model: AT-RL1 Nicknamed "Naast"
Affiliation: Mandalorians, Approved Individuals or Factions
Modularity: Yes, can fire a massive variety of different rockets or missiles.
Production: Mass Produced
Material: Durasteel barrel. Heavy armored Durasteel rocket drum. Tough Carbon-Titanium shell with polymers on various parts in an attempt to reduce weight.
Description: The ArmTech AT-RL1 was ArmTech's first attempt at a rocket launcher for their mercenaries when they were still in the business. The first prototype was the AT-G2, which had minor faults due to the design being rather overcomplex, so they tried to give it another shot, using a much simpler design, yet still retaining the 4-rocket drum design that the old one used. This was supposed to be a versatile weapon, and that's exactly what role this thing plays.

The design is cutting-edge, yet simplistic. With all the destructive power being contained in a simple, 1 meter long package, first of all the launcher was inspired by many bullpup weapons, where the magazine rests behind the trigger, allowing for les barrel protrusion and overall length reduction.

Then comes the rockets. 4 of them are stored in a revolving cylinder, which can either be reloaded, or manually spun around to fill up again with individual rockets. But it's not just the cylinder itself which is interesting, its' the rate of fire. The barrel revolves after every shot, meaning that essentially the thing is semi-automatic, which means that if a rocket doesn't fire, one can revolve the cylinder instead of going through the lengthy procedure of removing the rocket, or in a disposable rocket launcher's case, throw away the entire system.

Four buttons on the side allow the wielder to choose which rocket they want to use, which revolves the cylinder automatically, and green lights show when the electrical connection is good for the rocket to fire. Red means that there is a fault, which lets the wielder know to can the rocket.

On the side is also a foldable sight, which allows nightvision sight but is mostly used as the target-finder for any guided options.

While this weapon has a lot going for it, its' still rather ungainly, and shouldn't be used in close combat, this is a weapon of destruction after all. And without the proper munitions or protection, firing in a tight space can be fatal due to backblast from when the rocket leaves the weapon system, it's also a rather heavy weapon, and isn't very maneuverable.

Classification: Rocket Launcher
Size: Handheld
Status: Limited. Open to Mandalorians and Factions willing to do business.
Length: 110cm
Weight: 9kg unloaded 17.5kg loaded with 4 rockets.
Ammunition Type: Rockets
Ammunition Capacity: 4 per revolving cylinder
Effective Range: Varies depending on rocket.
Rate of Fire: Semi-Auto, about 1 rocket a second.
Rocket List:
Type: Thermobaric Multi-Purpose (TMP)
Description: Your usual type of rocket. Dumb-fired but packs an absolutely massive punch, possessing the same amount of baradium as two Class-A thermal detonators, this round is used for multiple purposes, mostly to take out structures or large groups of people. This is usually the more common round equipped. This is distinctive for the fact that the head of the rocket looks almost cylindrical. The point is to simply produce a large explosion, making this a multi-purpose rocket, but unsuited for dealing with heavy-armored vehicles, and range also becomes a factor, as the rocket possesses no guiding properties.
Blast Radius: 34m
Ammunition Type: Rocket
Effective Range: ~1km (Autodetonates)

Type: Guided High Explosive Anti-Tank Tandem (GHEATT)
Description: Got more stubborn foes on you? Like light to relatively heavy armored vehicles? Need those to go away? This is the round for you. The display and the barrage of IR sensors locks on to an enemy vehicle, usually taking about 2-3 seconds. The rocket is a fire-and-forget system, meaning that maintaining lock-on after firing isn't required. Once the vehicle impacts, the shaped warhead pierces the target's armor with the first explosive, the second explosive continues forward to explode inside the compromised area of the vehicle, killing (neutralizing if its' a drone vehicle's case) the vehicle and its occupants from the inside out.
This rocket can be dumb-fired but isn't to be used for any other purpose other than destroying vehicles. And incredibly fast moving targets cannot be destroyed as the guided system isn't that sophisticated, only to be used for the heavy, slower stuff, reactive armor is ineffective against this but chaff and other types of IR-dumbing countermeasures do function.
Blast Radius: About 1m on the outside of the armor, once it passes through the blast radius is equivalent to about 10m, but produces much more force and fire than overall blast radius.
Ammunition Type: Guided Anti-Tank Rocket
Effective Range: 1250m

Type: High-Speed Munition (HSM)
Description: Now this is an interesting one. Got annoying stuff like Gunships, Bombers or even speederbikes invading your position? Is the incredibly powerful GHEATT rocket not enough? This is the answer. This rocket exhanges blast range for a much more sophisticated guiding system which takes up more space, along with a much more powerful rocket booster, allowing this thing to be used to shoot down fast transports. The catch is however this does almost nothing against vehicles like tanks, you'll probably get a dent at best out of them.

Yet another Fire-and-Forget, the locking system tracks an aerial or fast-moving target and then launches its payload, the powerful rocket aims straight for either the cockpit, the underside or the thrusters of an aircraft to deal maximum damage, and smart and maneuverable fins deploy so the rocket can swiftly change directions to follow its target. This rocket can be dumbed via flares or chaff.
Blast Radius: 6m
Ammunition Type: Rocket
Effective Range: 4.5 miles

Type: Ion Pulse (IPR)
Description: Does what it says on the tin. Instead of merely blowing the absolute hell out of a target, it detonates a wide Ion pulse to deactivate all vehicle electrical systems or droids in a 35 meter radius. No real effect on live targets except for having their electronics disabled.
Blast Radius: 35m
Ammunition Type: Rocket
Effective Range: 950m (Autodetonates)

Mkay, looks good. Just two things.

What happens if something penetrates the missile cylinder or if the weapon goes flying for whatever reason?

Also, is the cylinder pulled out entirely to reload, is it a swing style cylinder (swings out like a revolver), or is it a fixed cylinder?

The rockets are volatile and the cylinder possesses a sort of polystyrene coating on the inside to reduce any force that the rockets might undergo such as simple dropping, but otherwise they're usually pretty stable, if you wanted to detonate one of them your best bet is to shoot it with a blaster due to high heat, hit the rocket head with a hammer or throw the rocket itself hard into hard ground.

As for the reload either works but its' intended to be replaced entirely as the rockets are far more vulnerable and prone to damage when left outside of their cylinder.
