STRENGTHS

Lightweight - Due in part to its compact size and the lack of gaudy or oversized features, the weapon itself is relatively lightweight.

Concealable - The AT-SH4 can be easily concealed on an individual's person due to the small size of the weapon. When held, the weapon measures, from grip to barrel, the size of the palm of an average human's hand.

Rechargeable - Unlike many Holdout Pistols that are designed to be disposed of after they have been discharged, the AT-SH4 includes the means to refill the gas reserve of the weapon. This allows the weapon to be utilized additional times until the wear and tear of internal components requires that it be replaced.

WEAKNESSES

Limited Range - The range in which the weapon is most effective has been recorded as being within three meters. Beyond this limit, the weapon becomes wildly inaccurate and also experiences further loss in its already minimal damage output.

Low Power - Like many Holdout Pistols, the AT-SH4 was designed more to scare off a would-be attacker and provide an individual the means to protect themselves for a limited duration. As such, the weapon is known to have a lower damage output than a standard Blaster Pistol.

Low Rate of Fire - The AT-SH4 was not designed to be a rapid-fire weapon or be fired off in quick succession. The overall design of the weapon focused on accuracy in a stressful situation to prevent injury to innocent bystanders.

DESCRIPTION

The continuing conflict between the Galactic Alliance and the Mandalorian Enclaved coupled with the developing situation in which the Sith Order has unleashed an attack on neighboring systems has shown that the most important individuals of the Galactic Alliance Government require the means to provide additional protection to themselves if their Senatorial Guard escort has been incapacitated or is being overwhelmed. Aether Technologies has brought forward the means to provide the members of the Federal Assembly the means to protect themselves and carry a small piece of mind in their pocket with the development of the AT-SH4. The weapon itself is a small Holdout Blaster that was not designed for prolonged engagements and follows the standard thinking of Holdout Blasters; a weapon that is more than enough to scare away would-be attackers that have targeted a Senator. Small in size, the weapon lacks the gaudy and oversized features of other blasters which has resulted in a relatively lightweight weapon. Its status as a Holdout Blaster dictating its size has also resulted in a weapon that is easily concealable on an individual's person, making it difficult to discern if the individual is armed or not. However, its small size and weight have come at the cost of other attributes, most notably, its lack of range as the weapon is not effective beyond three meters. Likewise, its smaller size and capacitor have resulted in diminished damage output, and though it may not be tearing through armor, it will still leave a scar when it hits its mark. With the members of the Federal Assembly being prime targets for those who seek to strike at the Galactic Alliance, the means to protect these individuals must also be in their own hands. The AT-SH4, though small, provides enough of a punch to protect those who carry the weapon whilst also being capable of discharging a bolt that can potentially stun a target. The ability to also recharge its limited gas supply cuts down on waste, allowing the weapon to be reused rather than just discarded as is common with standard Holdout Blasters.
