At the Mountains of Madness

// Expansion Region \\
Thaere Sector, Cularin System, Cularin
From the dizzying heights of Cloud Mountain, he could see everything for hundreds and hundreds of miles despite the thick clouds that blanketed the mountain's peak and the skies around it. He sat, cross-legged and contemplative, atop the mountain's vast cliff face, the wind ripping at his cloak as it howled incessantly at his intrusion. Nature itself seemed to slink away at his very presence, the nearby vegetation withering away as the wildlife made itself purposefully scarce in its avoidance of his malignancy.

The Dark Side swelled around him like a tempest more ferocious than any wind this mountain could conjure to harry him, with icy chills more frigid than the bone-white dunes of Hoth that cut down to his very core, yet he did not shiver. The Dark Side was his ally, his closest compatriot, and he wielded it like a well-tempered sword. A weapon that he thrust deep into the hearts of his enemies, leaving them scattered like leaves in the autumn.

It was why he, Dark Lord of the Sith, had come to this bleak land alone.

There were many elements of the Sith that had not yet fallen into line with those in the Caldera, and it were those wayward few who needed to be brought back into the fold. Of course there were several elements who had strayed from the true path of the Sith, and their heresies would be dealt with in time as well, but for now his focus was on those who had not yet submitted to his authority.

He was waiting for [member="Darth Ferox"], whom he had sent a direct challenge to via the dark holonet with specific instructions where to meet him and that he should not accompany himself with any other. This was a Sith matter, and it would be settled face-to-face with limited outside interference.

Now all he had to do was wait.

It was a brisk wind that first assaulted his skin. From the first step out into the open air Ferox felt cold to his core. He had always loved warm planets, and loathed the cold, but for once it would be a welcome sensation. Even simple discomfort could be turned into power for a Sith, and for why he was here he would need all he could get. Red eyes stared up to the top of the mountain, where the dark radiated like the eye of a storm.

He was already here.

The Dark Lord of the Sith, [member="Darth Carnifex"] . Darth Ferox hand't expected a challenge from any other Sith, not with how little he owned, or with what little he did these days. He may as well have been another nameless Sith Lord among the many, yet he was singled out. Come fight for the title of the Dark Lord. Become the leader of all Sith. Have unwavering devotion from those below you, until they chose to overthrow. None of those were reasons as to why the Zabrak currently walked up to the top.

Fighting against those who were considered the strongest was the only true test of skill. Within the hand of the Sith a simple lightsaber was held, and nearing his goal the red blade sprang to life with the snap hiss signature to any saber. He wanted Kaine to know the Assassin had come. Well, Ferox was never much of an Assassin. Not a word was spoken as he neared his goal, his rival.

On this day one of them would die. And while Ferox hoped it wouldn't be him, a part had already accepted the taste of death. Let this fight be one to remember by all Sith, and let either's death be a tribute to he who would rule the Sith.
