Ataru the way of the Hawk-Bat

Do or not do, there is no try
Tharr was meeting the Grand Master [member="Jyoti Nooran"] for an ataru class on the Silver Rest.
He arrived early to impress the master, and check the terrain to try get an advantage on the older Jedi. He was sure that it wouldn't change much, he was learning a new form anyway, but he wanted her to notice him and holding a bit longer against a master on a sparring was definitely going to make him stand from the crowd of Padawans that trained with her.

In a welcome change, Jyoti found the student to be the first to arrive for the training. She gave him a bow after strolling onto the scene, smiling.

"Good morning, Padawan Hei. Excellent timing. Have you done any warm-ups, or do you prefer we just get into the meat of the lesson?"

The focus of instruction today was Ataru, an aggressive and acrobatic form. The Echani didn't care much to employ Ataru herself, preferring a more measured style like Niman or Makashi, but she was proficient enough to teach it. The best way to beat an opponent was to learn their ways, and learn she did, Funnily enough, despite her preference for other forms, the cyborg's body was well suited for Ataru at this point, gifted with great stamina and speed. She'd definitely have to keep things toned down to effectively teach him the limitation of the form.

Tharr sensed that someone arrived and turned around to seen who it was. Master Nooran was smiling at him, and greed him with a bow, that was promptly responded by the Padawan.

"Good morning Grandmaster, i already did some warm-ups but i can join you if you haven't done them yet."

She nodded, then unclipped her lightsaber hilt. "Well then, how about a quick spar with me as my warm up? It'll give me a chance to show you the finer points of Ataru."

Being Echani, she was all about action over words when it came to training. She could go through lengthy lectures and such, but it was never as good as just going through the motions, whether on the giving or receiving end.

She took a few steps back to make some space, then flicked on her blade with a single mental command. A brilliant blade of silver flared outward from the hilt. Another command shifted the saber into training mode, so that it wouldn't be able to cut anything.

She raised her blade in one hand in a high guard position, while holding the other right before her. An invisible cocoon of energy soon enveloped her - a precaution against shenanigans with telekinesis.

The Echani was ready begin whenever Hei took out his saber.

Taking his saberstaff out, he did the same as the grandmaster when his blue and green blade came to live. His Zabrak nature was over excited about this, he only fought against two other people, his former master and a sith. The only one that pushed his limits has been his master, the sith didnt made him sweat, she was more of a force user and thats how he lost.
But a grandmaster would be a fine opponent.
"Sure, I thought we would only fight after some training but this is much better."

"Padawan Hei, this is training," she replied, a small smile growing. "No better way learn Ataru than to get a first-hand demonstration."

Hei had pulled his own weapon, a saber staff. With a saber-staff, he would have a long reach but would find himself in trouble if she pressed him and kept close to make it difficult to manipulate the pole weapon. However, the Echani had to remain mindful that all parts of the saber staff could be used to strike.

He now wielded his weapon but had not advanced against her. That meant that she was probably left to initiate the spar.

Perfect.

She kicked things off with well, a kick, darting forward and to the left Hei and bringing her saber down in a diagonal slice aimed right for his neck. A deceptively simple attack, but also one that had come with startling speed. The Force flowed through her limbs, enhancing every motion to make her stronger and faster. This was a staple of Ataru, channeling the Force through the body to greatly augment physical attributes, even allowing the elderly and frail to go well beyond their limits to become deadly opponents.

Her move came surprisingly fast, but after all she was using Ataru so she had to.
Tharr looked at her eyes to predict her movements but it was useless since a master would never show where he was going to attack.
Nevertheless he reacted out of pure instincts and blocked her blade in the last minute with his frontal one and moved aside, following the move of his arms with his legs.

"So I`m suppost to mimic you now right?" -He said standing in a defensive position, with his frontal blade across his frontside and the back blade next to his right leg, pointing to the ground. With the force he reached out to her and looked for a weak spot, a desperate move for sure.

Hei had managed to through up a hasty block against her sudden attack, but it was sloppy and left him wide up for a counter attack if she had chosen to press on. Instead, she disengaged, hopping a few paces away to create space between them once more.

"There's only one thing I want you to do, hit me."

She smiled again, beckoning him forward with a flick of her lightsaber before assuming a guard stance. Needless to say, the Echani always enjoyed a friendly duel.

In the Force, she could feel him probing for something, but he may find himself disappointed with the knowledge that there were no easy openings.

"However, if you are looking to mimic me, then attack. Ataru emphasizes a steady overwhelming offense to break your opponent. This is no time for caution."

No openings. He cursed in his mind. Well there are always other ways.

"Well if you say so..." with this words he jumped forward and started a sequence of fast strikes with both blades, changing from one to the other he was able to attack her uper half and bottom half almost at the same time.
