- Primary Source: Tractor Beam Projector
- Name: ATBP-90 "Uppskeruvél" | Agricultural Tractor Beam Projector
- Manufacturer: HPI Consortium
- Affiliation: HPI Consortium | Brighter Future Foundation
- Market Status: Open-Market
- Model: ATBP-90 "Uppskeruvél" | Agricultural Tractor Beam Projector
- Modularity: Significant
- The projectors are available in different sizes so they can be used with any harvester. This means it can be used for anything from hand-held tools to multi-kilometre harvesting boats/vehicles.
- Production: Mass-Produced
- Material: Druetium | Theadian | Electronic components
- Each tractor projector has ECSAI-class "Sérhannaðar" Artificial Intelligence installed.
- The AI has an agricultural database that keeps track of the general plants in the galaxy, but the AI can update its database with planet- or region-specific plants at any time.
- AI is fully capable of controlling the projector, so no human intervention is needed.
- The modified projector is also equipped with modified sensors that can detect the genetic pattern of plants, enabling the AI to harvest only specific seedlings from a mixed field, leaving all other plants untouched.
- The projector is completely environmentally friendly and harmless to any living thing or object, as the modification means it can only collect things with floral DNA. And the AI is also able to adjust mass because of the database, so even the projector is able to collect only the seeds of wheat/barley/oats/sunflowers/etc. while leaving the dried plant in the ground.
- If needed, the projector and AI can be controlled with HPI biochip.
- If required, the AI is capable of Solid state hologram extraction, so that the projector can be programmed manually.
- The system is equipped with GPO-12 "Ironmaze" Threat-Prevention Suite to protect against hacking attacks or viruses.
- The projector is powered by HAPU, which is essentially an unlimited source of energy.
- Fully Automated: Thanks to its built-in AI, the projector is fully automatic, requiring no human or droid intervention to control or configure. This makes the projector suitable for harvesting any kind of crop, because the AI can change it.
- Versatility: The projector can be manufactured in any size, so it can be mounted on virtually any size harvester, or even in a handheld machine.
- Energy: Although tractor beam projectors use a lot of energy, with HAPU one doesn't have to worry about this projector running out of power.
- Harvest Only: Due to the programming and protocols in the projector, it cannot be used against living organisms. Because it is intentionally designed to only lift or repel "objects" the size of seeds and crops and the "objects" have to contain floral DNA. Therefore, it is not suitable for pulling or pushing heavy weights.
- Damage: The projector cannot repair itself if damaged, so human or droid intervention is required. However, if the HAPU is damaged, the consequences can be catastrophic.
- EMP/Ion: Although partially protected against this type of attack/impact, a stronger impact can easily destroy the projector.
The HPI Consortium and the Brighter Future Foundation have already had joint projects in the past, mainly charity or food projects. This project is similar, to revolutionise and make harvesting more environmentally friendly under any conditions. That's why HPI has developed a tractor beam projector that can be produced in any size, is completely environmentally friendly and does not harm the environment at all; not to mention the fact that it can even be used in fields where several crops are grown at the same time.
To increase efficiency, the projector is equipped with proprietary AI, which has a huge agricultural database that includes the DNA of different plants, enabling the projector to harvest even specifically only one plant species from mixed fields. Because of the modified projector, the device cannot be used to lift or push objects or living things, only things with floral DNA. Due to AI, it can be fully automated, although it can be programmed manually due to the solid-state hologram or HPI Biochip compatibility.
As with everything, of course, this projector has its drawbacks, including the fact that it can really only be used for farming, not for rescuing people or cargo, or for protection. It is somewhat protected against EMP and Ion attacks, but it is not a military device, so a major attack could destroy the projector.
Despite all this, HPI has tried to revolutionise harvesting and make it more environmentally friendly. And with optional features and design, they've tried to make harvesting even more efficient, which can be very important on planets where every grain or grain of food counts. The company can confidently recommend the product for any crop or any environment, planet or even agricultural space station.
Not least, the projector is also available to individual buyers in larger numbers through the HPI Consortium's marketplace.
