Psychological Profile
Cunning | Amoral | Intelligent | Proud
Little is known of Athena or her desires in the galaxy, and she works hard to keep things that way. She is an evasive individual, and often works to avoid or outsmart those who would interrogate or seek to follow her. Deceit and Evasion come naturally to her, and often she finds herself one step ahead of any who chase her, or those who seek to escape her. She seems to have little or no real moral compass, but similarly does not seem driven by monetary gain in the jobs she takes. Athena will take innocent lives of any kind without remorse or care, given that they fit into whatever criteria she uses to select jobs.
Athena's mind is incredibly quick and calculating, partially as a result of the significant cybernetic modification and enhancements which have been made to her cranium. While she retains much of her organic mind, she shows abilities to calculate and record data with startling speed and accuracy. Athena's greatest sin is her pride however, she revels in her superiority to many standard humanoids and is certain of her capability to defeat any foe she sets her eyes on, something which often leads her to posture or over-commit.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Modified to Kill
- As is common among Ganks, much of Athena's body is cybernetically enhanced.
- Athena's body is naturally stronger and faster than an average humans, considering her enhancements.
- Her cybernetics can be easily modified, allowing for multiple features.
Fried Brain
- Due to the extensive augmentation of her body, EMPs work extremely well against Athena.
- While Athena's cybernetics naturally reset after being EMP'd, this takes time and leaves her vulnerable.
- Modification to Athena's brain has left her completely without any moral compass.
Agile Fighter
- Athena is surprisingly agile and acrobatic, despite mechanization.
- As well as moving quicker, Athena is able to use her flexibility to her advantage.
- Athena is quick on the draw, with heightened reflexes.
Enigmatic
- Athena's galactic reputation is limited, as she prefers to keep a low profile.
- This can make finding work difficult, and often Athena must take it upon herself to find employers.
- Her desire to remain enigmatic means she also finds difficulty developing contacts for necessities such as medical assistance.
Fear isn't Programmed
- As well as removing her moral compass, her neural modifications ensure Athena does not feel fear.
- Athena as a result can not be affected by some mind-altering force powers.
- Athena is still capable enough to know when to flee combat for self-preservation.
- The reputation of Ganks for being psychotic does not work in Athena's favour.
- Many choose to deny Athena's services considering her lack of morals.
- Often, her species' reputation and her nature can make more enemies than she'd like.
Equipment
E-11D Blaster Rifle
Athena's primary weapon is an E-11D Blaster Rifle. Similar in design to the E-11, it features a reinforced barrel and a stock, maximizing its rate of fire and intensity.
Right Forearm Housing
Athena's right forearm can extend five wrist based blasters that are capable fo spinning independently of her arm, turning it into a pseudo rotary cannon. It is a hidden feature she doesn't use often, saved for the event she is disarmed, or wishes to take an opponent by surprise.
Cranial Modifications
Athena's cranium has been highly modified. Through her implants she is able to play and record videos through her eyes, amplify sounds or localize them through her ears, and her brain can automatically control all of her other cybernetic implants without any input other than thought. Her eyes also serve as in-built macro binoculars and rangefinders. Her implants make Athena capable of cybernetic communication like all Ganks without any vocal input, and an in-built filter in her throat stops toxins from proceeding down her throat.
Bodily Modifications
Athena's bodily modifications are the most extensive. Her right arm is completely cybernetic, and many of her internal organs have been replaced with cybernetics, including her lungs, liver and heart. She has a holographic disguise matrix implanted on her back, allowing her to project a near-perfect hologram of any recorded individual over her body. She similarly has a personal stealth field implanted along her back, allowing her to appear almost completely invisible to the naked eye, though this field is prone to occasional malfunctions, especially if she's sustained damage.
Custom Laminate Armour
Considering the fact that her body is not entirely cybernetic, Athena still wears armour to protect her organic body. Made of Plastoid Laminate, the armour is akin to stormtrooper armour utilized by the Galactic Empire, and offers significant protection against concussive damage and shrapnel, though it is not as strong against blasters, it is enough to limit major damage to her organic body.
Pre-Chaos History
Absolutely nothing is known of Athena's origins, as she makes every effort to erase record or knowledge of her existence. Her first recorded appearance in the galaxy was on Coruscant, where she was conducting a mission to capture a senator's family for use in a ransom. Athena's mission was a success, as the Senator's guard was discovered slaughtered and she escaped with the senator. She was initially completely anonymous until she was caught on a camera receiving payment for the job.
Athena was known to remain in known space for roughly four years at this period, taking occasional jobs, primarily for crime lords or Imperials who did not wish to risk their own men on dangerous missions. What little reputation she seems to have mostly originated from her time working with the Empire, and can primarily be found in their records, as Athena seemed to have very few contacts at this point in time. It was shortly after Athena was gifted a customized starship for her service to the Empire that she disappeared from known space again.
No other records remain of Athena following this point, however in recent months there have been recorded sightings in Wild Space of the ship Athena was gifted. Any attempts to contact the ship have been met with no success, and curious actors who have attempted to board or capture the ship have either been disabled or destroyed.
