  • Classification- Multipurpose Armour - Beskar'gam

    • Energy- Extreme
    • The Force- Extreme
    • Lightsabers- Extreme
    • Kinetic- Very High
    • Electrical- Very High
    • Extreme Heat (Pyro, Elemental)- High
    • Extreme Cold (Cryo, Elemental)- High
    • Vacuum- Average
    • EMP/ION- None
    • Chemical- None
    • Sonic- None
SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Technology-
    • Being constructed as a mimicry and improvement upon an earlier-designed amalgamation of various Beskar'gams belonging to Volo Dragr Volo Dragr , with several additions, the Atiniir'gam possesses an array of technology and gadgets to strengthen and compensate the base design of the armour.
  • Ancestry-
    • In keeping with traditional Beskar'gam, the Atiniir'gam incorporates Beskar to strengthen it greatly against most energy-based weapons, including lightsabers.
    • Incorporating newer practices of making gam out of force-nullifying or blocking materials, all Beskar in the Atiniir'gam is lined and reinforced by Trakar to block out and deflect most basic, direct and invasive Force attacks.
    • Built on the foundations of the previous Beskar'gam, the Liser'gam utilises Inertial Dampening technology to significantly reduce the impact of most kinetic attacks and forces.
  • Supplementary Protection-
    • To compensate for the strong yet far-between design of the armour's plating, as well as to offer additional protection not already provided by the armour, the Atiniir'gam is set on a bodyglove of Norris-Root Synthweave, offering a similar and formidable layer of protection against environmental conditions, particularly of the thermal and electric variety. Due to the Norris-Root treatment, the Synthweave is able to offer a modicum of protection against energy-based weapons and unsustained lightsaber blows.
    • Incorporating new design elements, the undersuit of the Atiniir'gam is made almost entirely out of Norris Root treated-Terentatek Leather. This undersuit offers protection against a variety of direct force attacks, lessening the effect of Force Telekinesis and better dissipating Force Lightning amongst others.
WEAKNESSES
  • Disarmed-
    • While inarguably competent in defense against the Force, the armour is counterintuitive. Its greatest built-in weapon, the Resa'geriuvr Crushgaunts become devoid of all their unique abilities whilst the Mechamiri Pack is active, returned to simple crushgaunts.
  • Weak Points-
    • In order to compensate for the weight of the gear typically worn and carried with the armour, as well as the innate weight of the material's composing the armour proper, armour plating is nominally minimal, refined to the front-thighs, torso, shoulders, vambraces and helm. However, additional plating and armouring (pauldrons, etc) can be attached should the wearer so choose, at the cost of extra weight.
  • Vulnerability-
    • Sharing the weaknesses and vulnerabilities of the armour sets it is derived from, the Atiniir'gam bears no protection against EMP/ION attacks. Should the gam be hit with some such attack, its technological systems would be rendered defunct and entirely disabled.
    • In keeping with the above reasoning, it also offers no protection against Sonic attacks, leaving the armour and wearer completely vulnerable to damage and harm through these means.
    • For the, again, above reasoning, the Atiniir'gam also offers the wearer no protection against liquid chemical attacks, nor radiation.
  • Hefty-
    • Despite design choices and exclusions made to decrease the weight of the armour, the Atiniir'gam is still heavier than most other armours of it's classification. This effect is amplified when additional, optional armour plating and protective pieces are added onto the armour.
  • Selective Extremes-
    • Although boasting a resistance to the extremes of both temperatures, the Atiniir'gam is not designed to offer protection against prolonged exposure to these circumstances and will gradually offer less and less protection as the time exposed increases, especially as the temperatures become more extreme.
  • Can't Hide from Technology-
    • While doubtless a powerful set of armour, the Atiniir'gam offers little in the way of stealth, and is capable of being detected on an array of sensors. In some cases, even to a greater extent due to certain components being installed improperly, but still-functionally.
DESCRIPTION
Volo Skaigh, a self-proclaimed Forgemaster and Tinkerer-Extraordinaire, recently found himself without a Beskar'gam, or any gam, that could stand up to his arduous tests and expectations. While this was, in part, due to a misfortunate situation that required him to trade his last masterpiece- the Liser'gam- for credits, passage and medical care and a hodge-podge set of gam made of scrap duraplast, durasteel and other lesser materials with only the most basic technology. Even so, as masterfully as he had crafted it, the Liser'gam was imperfect and forged out of pre-existing Beskar'gam, reused materials and technology. It lacked a right vambrace, its systems were swapped and wired to simply function, its plating misweighted and relied upon an uncomfortable, heavy but effective dual-layer undersuit and bodyglove mix.

Though this exceptional piece of armour was forced out of his possession by unfortunate circumstances, Volo would soon find himself in far more fortunate circumstances that allowed him to forge an even better set of second skin. A second skin that was made professionally, expertly, masterfully. Upon its completion, the forgemaster dubbed it Atiniir'gam. Similar to the Liser'gam, which translates roughly to 'The Armour that Could" in reference to its ability to defy expectations and function, Atiniir'gam translates to "The Armour that Endures", moreso in reference to its owners' ability to endure hardship and difficulty, though the armour itself is most certainly hardy and durable.

The overall styling of the armour takes cues from more traditional forging methods, whilst also incorporating the less traditional styling of the Fett clones' armour. The heraldry on the armour itself follows the Mandalorian tradition of adorning Beskar'gam with colours to symbolise what it means for them; in the case of Volo Skaigh, accents of white and red adorn the Atiniir'gam to symbolise a fresh start, and honouring new family.

The Atiniir'gam differs from typical Beskar'gam in that, while it follows the style and its outer plating is pure Beskar, the Beskar is welded with an inner-lining of Trakar. This Trakar serves multiple purposes, primarily to disperse direct attacks through, and isolate the wearer from, the Force. Paired with a Terentatek Leather Undersuit and Mechamiri Pack, the wearer becomes all but completely isolated from the Force, rendering them unable to call upon it or be influenced by it save through direct means, which can typically be expected to lessen significantly in intensity and strength. This resistance also disables the most prominent offensive piece of the armour, the Resa'geriuvr crushgaunts. In order to gain usage of the crushgaunts unique abilities once more, the Mechamiri Pack must be either deactivated or detached and a sufficient distance established.

Resistance to the Force aside, the Atiniir'gam is a technological masterpiece in spite of the fact that its technology is mostly rather basic and average. The sheer array of technology present allows the wearer atleast one way to solve most problems, be it with ordinance, arson or a strong-arm through security systems. The armours' weapon systems are fairly standard, a flame projector, a wrist rocket, a grappling line, a pad to control more advanced armour systems, whistling birds; all good on their own, all better combined, but all pale in comparison to the advanced crushgaunts, which speak better for themselves.

Regardless of specifics and inspecifics, the Atiniir'gam is doubtlessly a superior example of Mandalorian Armour, capable of protecting the wearer against most threats and providing a solution to most problems. A masterpiece that defines the nature of Mandalorian Culture, the ability to adapt, endure and overcome; brought to life by the combined mastery of Ijaat Mereel Ijaat Mereel and Volo Dragr Volo Dragr .

Hello! Very well made submission, i like it alot. That said, there are a few issues that will need to be resolved.

Technical Specifications:
  • Resistances: Please adjust your ‘Elemental’ resistance. Instead of having ‘Elemental’ high then both Extreme Heat and Extreme Cold as ‘sub resistances’ underneath it, just make them their own resistances for clarity and to make it easier to judge the balance of this submission. Example:
    • Electrical - Very High
    • Extreme Heat (Flames, Elemental) - High
    • Extreme Cold (Cryo, Elemental) - High
    • Vacuum - High
Please note, I have not yet judged the balance of these resistances, as i’m sure this will change things when you revise. This will be subject to review once you revise.

Special Features:
  • Chest: I do not show any permissions to utilize the ‘Mechamiri Pack’. It’s submitter has stated in the submission that it is only available to extremely select customers. Please either acquire their express permission to use this item, or remove it from this submission. Thank you.

Strengths:
  • Ancestry: You reference inertial dampeners as the means through which your armor ‘significantly reduces the impact of most kinetic attacks and forces’. The item shown in the wookieepedia article is specifically for use with starships, not armor. Please remove this entirely from your submission and revise accordingly.
  • Supplementary Protection: You are correct that Terentatek Hide is resistant to the force, but I do not see any indication that it could help mask someone from the effects of force sense or precognition Please remove this bit entirely.

Once you have made your revisions, please let me know. Thank you!

I've followed your suggestions, split elemental back into extreme heat + extreme cold. I've pre-emptively dropped Vacuum down from High to Average to compensate.

Added the permission, its listed as Ijaat Perm. v3.

For Supplementary Protection, I've removed that sentence entirely. As for the inertial dampeners, I've removed the one linked as the wookieepedia article in favour of a factory sub and updated permissions accordingly ( MRS-04D Omvendt Ablative Inertial Dampener, Kiff Perm. v3 ). That said, I would like to briefly bring up the point that the reason for its inclusion was based upon it being able to be downsized as needed ( stated in the wookieepedia article, it was used for simulations, as well as airspeeders ). If that doesn't affect the judgement at all, I have no further qualms with its replacement.

I appreciate your time.

Very sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

This submission is APPROVED!. I do have a few supplementary comments for the benefit of your previous questions, as well as to expound on a few final thoughts.

Your adjustments to the resistances are acceptable. While it is outside of my purview to comment overmuch or speculate about how a submission will be used in a roleplay scenario, i will simply state that with 'great power comes great responsibility'. Please keep that in mind, but from what I know of you, I don't think there will be any problems in that respect. :)

Regarding the swapping of the inertial dampeners, i feel obligated to paste the blurb you are referring to below:

"Though used primarily in starships, an inertial compensator could be installed in an airspeeder. Senator Simon Greyshade used one in his custom Narglatch XJ-6 airspeeder to protect riders from the harsh maneuvers the craft was capable of.[3]

Inertial compensators were also used in simulators, making them more realistic by creating artificial sensations of acceleration.[4] They were also used in Senate Building turbolifts.[5]"

Notice, the article says nothing about for armor use. Normally, I do not consider it an issue for a small 'stretch' of the description to be used in a submission if it makes sense. However, it is my opinion that such cases should be within reason, and should be rare.

I applaud your creativity in trying to use it to provide protection against Kinetic based attacks, yet I think we can both agree that such an application is very powerful, as well as very engineering intensive. It is due to this latter reason that I would have insisted you create a separate factory submission to outline its function and limitations, but thankfully there is already one in existence that you've linked and obtained permissions for, so this is no longer necessary.

Just please keep this in mind in the future. Stretching is fine, but if the stretch would result in a very powerful combination or a very engineering-intensive result, then there is a high probability the judge will request a separate submission be created and/or integrated into the original sub in question.

Overall though, I must say again; very well done submission, and I appreciate your creativity and general patience. Enjoy your armor!
