Atleast It Wasn't a Box

Tatooine.

The Acolyte of the One Sith Order walked into the cantina in Mos Eisley. It was quite an infamous cantina, and as an assassin for the Black Sun, he felt as if he could find a safe haven there, on the planet that was riddled with criminals.

Once upon a time he had been taken from his home planet and then transported to Tatooine to find a way to make his own future. From there, he had come into contact with someone who could take him to the Black Sun, and from his Kaeshanan Military background he had become an assassin for lack of anything that would otherwise interest him.

The man who had taken him had become a friend in their short contact, and he hadn't seen him for quite some time, Astraios wouldn't admit most probably, but he hoped that he would encounter him again, and at least find out if he was still alive.

So he walked into the cantina, and blinked a few times to try and adapt to the darkness of the cantina faster, and he moved directly to the bar once he gained his bearings.

"Kriff, it's karking hot in here," Tobias said to hismelf in the back corner of the cantina. Blue eyes peered around at the shady clientele, his other hand at the ready for one of his pistols. His leather jacket was across his legs, revealed toned arms that were a little too sun-kissed for his liking. Keeping his head down, he sipped some more on the fire whiskey in his cup. No worries Ross, you only have to be here for another week. Another sip of his whiskey followed, it was the only thing keeping him company on the planet for the moment. After unloading his shipment for Silk, he had to wait for another transport to arrive so that he could get back on to the task of heading back up the Mara Corridor for the company who paid his bills.

Well, most of them.

A few spare compartments in the Jackdaw had just been retrofitted, and he would be bringing some spice with him back down the Mara as well. It wasn't a perfect thing, but for a former solder like himself, it kept the sharks off of him. Speaking of sharks, I'd kill to be in water right now. Sweat beaded on his head, and he wiped the stray drops off of his face whenever he got the chance. I"m either going to get drunk, or die from dehydration. Surveying the bar, he looked to see if there was anyone he'd like to speak to. "Can we get some beautiful women in here?" His question was only heard by himself, and another sigh escaped his lips.

A disgusting rodian female walked by, and he shuddered before taking another sip.

He sat the bar alone, no one approached, and he didn't complain. When his ice water was served to him, he felt something familiar to him through the Force. A long time ago he wouldn't have understood what he was feeling, but something was echoing in his mind, a familiar voice, and he turned his head to a side to better hear, and his natural abilities as an Eldorai proved to work when he heard the older version of an old friend's voice.

It could have been a relative, was Astraios truly so lucky?

I must be. He turned around in his stool, and set his eyes upon [member="Tobias Ross"] and walked over to where he sat. He hadn't even taken off his helmet yet, and he was still clad in his black armour that he seemed to wear all over the place. "I hope I may suffice." He said, and he finally took off his helmet with a single hand and sat down in front of the Smuggler.

Despite joining the One Sith and becoming an Apprentice to an Eldorai Sith Lord, the Sith Apprentice that was Astraios still seemed to bare the same features that he had had when he had last seen Tobias, albeit a few years older. He was still pale, but even paler thanks to the corruption of the dark side, but it wasn't as bad as to think there was some illness about him.

Call Tobias crazy, but any time a man clad in nothing but black armor on a desert world came up to him in a bar, well he got super nervous. Reaching for his pistol that was strapped to his thigh, he un-clipped it quickly as he thumbed the activation switch. Downing his fire whiskey, he sat up completely straight and his eyes grew very alert. Moving slowly, he pulled his pistol from it's holster with great care. I will not be having a repeat of Nar Shadaa, he thought ot himself. Then behind that ominous, black helmet, he heard a voice ring out from behind the armor that covered the man's head.

"I hope I may suffice."

As the helmet was removed, he quickly removed his grip from the trigger and handle of the pistol. "Astraios, you gave me quite the scare." Every muscle in his body relaxed as his adrenaline slowed to a stop. Raising his hand for another drink, the waitress went to the bar seeing that there would be no trouble. Sticking his hand out now that he wasn't gripping his pistol, that million-watt grin crossed his face. "What brings you here," then he motioned to the armor," and why in the feth are you wearing that....here of all places?"

He placed his glass and the helmet upon the table once he was resting in his seat. The helmet was sat down to face him and he stared back into the black visor. A simple helmet, and he took it with him everywhere he went. He couldn't really explain why he wore it all the time, other than it became apart of him once he and Tobias had parted ways that last time.

"I was searching for old friends, Tobias. And the armour? Well, I became an assassin in the Black Sun." It wasn't a lie, but it wasn't the full story either. He blinked at the helmet once more before he brought the cup to his lips and took a sip from it. "It is protection. Needless to say, my reputation doesn't proceed me." He said with a shrug and a bit of a chuckle. "What do you do these days?"

So, the guy that I saved in his time of need has become a trained killer? That's truly comforting. His eyes widened at the waitress as she came up to the table, god why can't we have some beautiful women around. "Thanks," he muttered as he slid a few credits to her before turning back to his friend. "So, you're a hired killer now who dresses in armor everywhere you go?" More fire whiskey burned his throat, and his eyes rolled a bit as he sat the drink down. Toby's throat adequately cleared, he surveyed the room to keep himself from dwelling too much on the fact that his friend was a killer. "Well, I'm glad that you are safe buddy. I've seen people in your situation that have become far worse."

A small tremor could be witnessed on his hands, and he swallowed hard for a moment. How many people have died because I saved somebody? Visions of battles in the past flashed, and then he thought of how normal his life was. "Well, honestly I'm just a simple transport pilot for Silk Industries." Looking around to make sure no one of worth was around, he continued. "Well, I ship a few things here and there I'm not supposed to." He leaned back and put his arms on the edge of the seat, enjoying the relatively bland afternoon before him.

"I'm stuck here for a week, who are you here to kill?"

So not only does he smuggle people, but he smuggles other items to- Of course he does. Smuggling people won't get you as much customers if you smuggling merchandise, Astra- Blackhand. If he was going to be playing the part of Blackhand, he may as well refer to himself mentally as that. It could always help with the image if you thought you were the person you were portraying, or was at least a good image of that person.

Even though he was playing... His own character.

Wow, was it hard.

"I'm not here to kill anyone. The day that you saved me past, and I realized now that it's possible for me to thank you in a way better than with words." The Sith Apprentice said with a small smile on his face, it was a friendly smile. "I came here to find you." He paused for a moment while he thought over his friend's words. "Why are you here for work? Waiting for your... Shipments?"
