The Azul Pools:
The Azul Pools are a group of small islands and atolls pitted all over the Atoll Greater. Completely untouched by sentient occupation and continue to thrive in pristine conditions. The Pools are inhabited by various creatures from all species types, living in a symbiotic existence. However, evoluation over millions and millions of years have resulted in variations in all species, with some succumbing to extinction.

The Opaloin Ring was created at the birth of the Yuuzhan Vong Galaxy. In the beginning, there was no life forms of any notable existence. Over eons the microscopic life forms living within the waters of the ocean began to evolve and so more structured species began to appear and walk upon solid ground.
The islands saw much change as well, with ever erupting volcanic activity the mountains formed and provided fertile soil for plant life to form and be sustained. Atoll Greater, primarily oceanic, experienced substantial rain falls all year round and coupled with warm climate, the jungles emerged. And once more the planet saw the rise of new species of creatures.
The shores of the island are home to mangroves, which in same place are thick and wide, housing all manner of exoskeleton bearing aquatic invertebrates and fish. However, most of the creatures of this planet are highly venomous and/or predatory. And in some case lethal.
