ATTN: REPUBLIC

A broadcast was sent to Chazwa, a simple tap into the HoloNet Transceiver the system used, not even complex enough to monitor or trace info it was sending, just enough to flood almost every HoloNet channel on the planet with the single broadcast.

Darth Vulkan, Dragon of Mandalore stood waiting for the broadcast to begin aboard his ship, armor and all. Part of him no longer wanted war with the Republic, but part of him wanted to secure planets and shore them up, maintaining the advantage and momentum the Mandalorians had. But, he had given his word he would do his best to avoid further conflict if the Republic would only meet the terms of the War Master, [member="Ember Rekali"]. Vulkan was however impatient about waiting for such things to happen.

The signal light turned green and Vulkan's image would appear across many channels on the HoloNet on Chazwa, as close to real time as the HoloNet was capable of.

"I am Draco Vereen, Aliit'buir of Clan Vereen. Earlier this week, I hosted peace accords with the Republic and terms were agreed upon by the Republic Delegation, but they were required to take these back to the Supreme Chancellor. I will relay these terms to the People of the Republic."

The image changed to words with a short transition.

"The Suspected War Criminal Known as Ali Hadrix face a non-Republic Tribunal along with her co-conspirators.

Hadrix and her command staff to be removed from any and all authoritative positions pending the outcome of the tribunal.

A Binding Pledge that the Republic will not interfere with armed force if its member worlds choose to secede.

Removal of all non-defensive forces in the regions adjacent to Roche."

The image returned to that of Darth Vulkan, the words scrolling behind him after they had sat on the screen for sixty seconds. The armored face of the Sith Lord remained impassive, even behind the mask his features were hard and stoic.

"So far, none of these things have happened that we are aware of. Republic, ask your senators, is it war they seek? We offered them terms, our leaders were generous, and now we wait on bureaucracy and stalling tactics to see these kind terms met. I grow impatient, as these terms have yet to even appear on the Senate floor according to public record. Is peace on the back burner for more important things? I await actions from your leaders. Not more words and stalling tactics."

The transmission cut out.

Vulkan returned his attention to the here and now, on Alderaan where he and his men were filling in since the Republic had withdrawn its protection of Alderaan. Vulkan had been kind and had politely left off any talk of or else, or time limits, only that the longer they waited the more likely it was Mandalore stayed on the warpath.

She had spoken with Republic officials regarding the accusations of war crimes against her, and no charges were to be filed at the time. She was free to retain her command until the Senate investigation had accrued evidence worthwhile for placing charges, but Ali wasn't overly concerned

Khyros sat in his office on Chazwa and rewatched the armored man speak to the Republic.

By now, word had reached him that not only had Alderaan forced Republic defense forces from their space, but they had allowed in a sizable Mandalorian fleet. Khyros didn't think it was a ruse to have Mandalorians pincering the central Republican worlds, the Mandalorians were a people of their words. The fact that they were in the position wasn't to be ignored, but so long as the Republic bowed to the demands they would be safe.

Khyros stood and paced in front of his desk.
'Perhaps the cowards of Alderaan and Eshan have the right of it. Long has it been since the Republic has been in such dire straits. The last time it had been in dire straits, it had been a princess of Alderaan who had restored it, with help. Now it would appear a princess of Alderaan was hastening its demise.' He thought to himself, letting himself fume only because he was alone. 'If I were the Mandalorians, I would watch my back where Alderaan was concerned. Secession directly following their senator losing the Chancellor vote was very telling. Oh, their words said it was not related, but actions are always louder.' He turned and slammed a hand down on his desk, the only outburst he would allow himself. 'Hadrix needs to go, that much was certain. Even if she did not give the direct order to space civilians, she had directly insulted and taunted the Mandalorian commander. In the heat of battle would have been one thing, but from a civilian station with no serious defenses in the system. That alone placed the blood of all the dead on her hands. As to allowing secession...that would put a significant damper on morale and the economy...there was something to be said about not forcing someone to share your foxhole, but it was recklessly stupid to go independent with the One Sith on the doorstep.'

Khyros returned to his desk and turned his computer on. At the very least, he could push for Hadrix to be turned over. As far as he was concerned, she should have been shot by her men for treating the situation like she had. Khyros contacted Chancellor [member="jack sparrow"] to inquire as to the dispensation of the Supreme Commander position and how extradition of the person who really needed to be the former supreme commander was progressing.

Nick Sept

Worst Ghost in the Galaxy
The Clone Senator watched the feed a second time. He frowned. "Secretary Elliot," he said to the other clone, calmly. "Put a channel through to the Supreme Chancellor [member="Jack Sparrow"] immediately. Also, pack a spare away bag. If this keeps up, we may have to leave Chazwa."

"Sir?"

"Sinking ship, rat, et cetera," he stood in front of the holoprojector, waiting for his answer. He didn't know [member="Khyros Sunblade"] was on the other line, but he for one would be happy to make it a conference call. Another day, another credit.

Martika Varta

Senator, Umbara; Committee on Civics & Infrastruct
Senator Martika Varta was enjoying a rather pleasant lunch whilst watching Chazwa's biennial snow-sports olympics when the transmission was signal-jacked by a Mandalorian calling himself Draco Vereen. Martika had only recently heard about the Mandalorian-turned-Sith Lord, [member=Darth Vulkan], but knew he'd also participated on behalf of the Sith during the invasion of Contruum. A man clearly not to be trusted, or taken lightly. The transmission listed demands made by the Mandalorian government that were either detrimental to Republic galactic security or absurd to expect a superpower to bend to. The Mandalorians were attempting to bully the Republic government by making demands of their justice system, nay their very Constitution. It seemed the Mandalorian people understood warfare much more than they understood government, politics and well, anything else.

Martika represented Umbara, not the Republic as a whole, yet he recognized that his world only benefited as long as the Republic stood strong. A series of lost military conflicts had shaken the faith of many in their government's ability to protect them, yet it hardly counted for all the nails in a coffin, especially considering their enemies had thus far avoided attacking Republic economic infrastructure, likely in the hopes of acquiring it themselves. As a result, Republic trade was at an all time high as corporations and smaller businesses scrambled to maintain their standing. Increases for lines of credit to burgeoning businesses had been rapidly approved by the Republic Economic Committees, which had led to lowered interest rates and allowed more and more Republic citizens to participate in the Galactic economy.

Despite the man's misgivings, Martika listened throughout the duration of Draco Vereen's transmission, particularly stung by the accusation that nothing had been done. "Well," he said to his aide politely as he wiped his hands with sanitizer, "It seems there is work to be done." Vereen had been right about one thing: The Republic's newly appointed Supreme Chancellor had not yet addressed the Mandalorian demands. Martika felt the Senate ought to be the man to the punch; he had less faith in Supreme Chancellors these days.

Jack listened calmly to the message from [member="Darth Vulkan"] before turning to an aide.

"Someone please ring [member="Faith Balor-Organa"] expeditiously and with all haste. I haven't seen any of this brought to the Senate. If we've agreed to these conditions, and I don't see why we wouldn't, we need to get them implemented as soon as practical. Also, send a crate of Corellian whiskey to the Aliit'buir with my compliments."

Faith showed up at Jack's office. Waiting for the aide to let her in. When she finally gained access, "I don't have the terms. The former senator of commenor has them." Faith stood still.

Yes she had left the proceeding after all didn't want all that funding to go to waste .
