ATVS don't exist yet

There was one problem that constantly got on the nerves of the droid who was previously a human known as "Jeff Solaris". It was not that he was a droid, although that problem was one that would bother him later. No, his present issue was the lack of a vehicle that could operate in all terrains properly, and without incident. For this very reason he was sitting in one of the conference rooms at Fort Suvian looking over various types of vehicles that existed in the galaxy. As he flipped through schematic after schematic he got more and more annoyed. There were no under water vehicles of any variety that existed which would make planets like Naboo with massive oceans hard to navigate. Sure certain ships could be used but it kind of defeated the point of going planet side. Jeff did have a few ideas, but to put any of them to any real use he'd need some major help. So he pinged his secretary and said. "Call in the company Laravan, and see if they have any ideas. Maybe they can help me with my lack of ideas about our latest prototype I want to create. It was supposed to be a sort of ATV. For now though we'll leave is as a Three Terrain Vehicle. Still I'll need ideas."

His secretary responded to him. "Very well sir, sending the call now." And with that, the call was sent to Laravan that their owner was needed at Fort Suvian on Tatooine ASAP. For they were to help with the creation of the prototype that they would be producing themselves as one of their more stable inventions. The device itself was going to earn both companies a lot of money after all. Not only that, but it would have an autonomous mode should the driver be for any reason incapacitated or unable to drive the vehicle. This idea was one Jeff just thought up for it.

Silara had been deep in meditation when the sliding door to her personal quarters slid open, a Lethan Twi'lek walking into the room to sit in front of the Vahla woman. Without missing a beat the blonde let out a silent sigh and opened her eyes. "Is there something you need, Alora?" Silara inquired, directing her question to the red-skinned Twi'lek slave that acted as her public persona as head of the Laravan Corporation. "The chief executive officer of the Suvian group wishes to meet with me, uh, you, for prototype testing and designs." Alora replied, rising back up to her feet and turned away towards the door. "Very well. Let them know I am on my way to Tatooine." The Sith said after a short pause, breaking what little amount of focus she had left on meditating to stand up and move towards her wardrobe to fetch clothing more suitable for someone of her political and financial stature - even if she was an unknown in the galaxy for now. Several hours later Silara found herself landing in her Solace-class starfighter on some space port in Tatooine, and soon afterwards waiting patiently at their designated place of meeting at the Fort Suvian dressed in her glistaweb dress and wearing a hemmed warden's cloak over it for good measure.

Upon entering the building she could see dozens of crumpled up designs that had been wadded into a ball and thrown at the wall with more power than was normally required. "So you've arrived. I had an idea for a transport that could behave like a speeder, a land transport with wheels, a jet, a and an aquatic transport. Unfortunately I've been going over the schematics of every vehicle I could find on the Holo-Net. None exist. No aquatic vehicles exist other than space ships which are hopelessly impractical for that kind of purpose. What I'm attempting to do will revolutionize science as you've seen. Unfortunately the vehicle design is something I've yet to come up with. Do you have any suggestions?" Holograms of a speeder, a submersible design that Suvian had never put into practice, and also a land vehicle appeared around the room. Well holograms of the blueprints.

"This vehicle will allow you to virtually own the vehicle industry to some degree, assuming someone has not beat us to the punch. You will get 75% of the profits from every sell of the vehicle. 25% will be put here, in creation of another project of mine. Oh, and one other thing. You'll soon be changing Star Fighters over to one recently made by Suvian, the Wasp. Your old one will be taken by us and used as parts to build a new Wasp Class Star Fighter. "

Upon entering the room, the blonde nodded at the man's words, taking a moment to analyze the various schematics that were displayed across the various points of the room. "Allow me to examine these three, there is generally a way to find...points of interest...in similar things." Silara replied as she moved towards the three holograms, examining each one with expressed interest. Of course there was the idea of using wheels for regular speeds over the land surfaces, a very archaic idea but one that saved fuel nonetheless, and as she passed over to the speeder design she took notice of the repulsor lift system that made use of such technology to keep it off of the ground while moving at higher speeds due to a lessening of friction and a jet propulsion system on its exterior rear. After a bit of contemplating on those two designs she moved on to the aquatic vehicle ideas and schematics, and though she didn't find such things necessary for her own current personal convenience, she was aware of the undersea uses on planets such as Naboo and the Mon Calamari planet. "As far as the two over-land designs go for the prototype design, the repulsor lifts should be on the side of the front wheel and on either side of it on the front and on the sides of each back wheel, with one in the center of the two - and the wheel count should be three, one in the front and two in the back. Once you retract the front wheel the three other repulsors that are not on the wheels should immediately begin their activation to support the sudden change and retraction of wheels." She explained, pausing to think.

"Following that, the front wheel's lift should activate while the back two wheels retract, balancing out the shift with a short burst from the back repulsor, and the back wheel lifts should activate directly afterwards. A jet or two should be placed on the back of the craft with a retractable cover for both submergence and for when it is not in use, its use for accelerations." Silara continued, glancing back towards [member="Jeff Solaris"] for a moment before looking back towards the undersea design.

Silara seemed to stare into the holographic display of the submersible vehicle's blueprints, her expression rather concerned, as if a few issues had popped up into her head, though she seemed to shake her head a few times dismissively, perhaps conversing with herself inside of her head. Removing a small datapad from her cloak pocket, the blonde began to draw a sketch of the schematics for what she was starting to think of, using a small feature in the device that was made expressly for designers and engineers to use - though she was certainly no technological genius, she was merely quite clever and a bit on the smart side. "So let's go down the list of possibilities, do you want to use a propeller for underwater traveling? I'm going to take the liberty of making a retractable crystasteel cover to be used as a door, like the cockpit to some of those starfighters that slide up the back. Moving on... What materials do you want to use for the vehicle? Durasteel is a common choice, but I think that a Desh-Terenthium alloy will more than cover the costs, be much more light-weight, and the terenthium will allow us to recover the issues desh has with durability." She said, rambling on about various design changes and such, making notes and drawing more portions to the schematics that she was mocking up while she waited for his response.

"I believe that instead of propellers, a repulsor would be more effective under water. It would also provide versatility as opposed to the propeller, because unlike a propeller, a repulsor cannot rust. Your ideas are suitable and shall be applied to the creation of the Prototype. Let's see here. What else can we do? I know we'll need to acquire some Desh-Terenthium alloy like you said." Jeff paused for a moment. "As for the vehicle itself, we'll need to decide whether it should have the Suvian Sciences Logo on it, or the logo of your company. Probably the logo of your company would be best, as you'll be mass producing the vehicle, and upgrading it to work on all terrains. The vehicle itself could possibly possess a neural piloting mode in case organics want to control it, but need their hands free for whatever reason. Just a thought I had. "

Jeff knew that this product would be immensely valuable. For very many people lived on planets with air or aqua as the main terrain. Thus his device could come in handy. "Eventually I planned on a sub orbital mode for the vehicle, but that won't happen for a while. We'll also need to include a fail-safe so the weapons systems cannot be turned on any of our employees. Ever. "

Silara glanced up at the schematics while she nodded a few times, though she disagreed on some points. She liked the idea of repulsors, but wasn't quite certain such technology would be best put to use in aquatic situations - she could already envision law-suits being pushed towards the Suvian group and her own company for issues that occurred from a malfunction in the land-based application of it with a change for aquatic purposes, such as being stuck underwater for several hours or costly deaths. The logo to be placed on the vehicle didn't matter to her - she was making a profit on these regardless of whom bought it and where, as such she waved her hand to dissuade such conversation. A sub orbital variation was intriguing, but was far too different of a deviation from the current ideas and models presented to be practical in a design setting - there was probably no single way to combine every single type of vehicle into one, not without massive cutting back on other areas anyways. "Forget the Logo, you can have yours on it, regardless of who presents it and sells it, I am making a profit margin on these - not that I'm looking to make my company famous or anything either." She said, right off the bat. "Anyways, a repulsorlift would cause mechanical issues that would be reminiscent of previous eras of tech that tried to cut corners by using different tech for multiple purposes - you'll get lawsuits eventually for injuries and possible deaths. I suggest using some other form of propulsion, as that won't cut it." Silara added, continuing with her notes.

"Actually you can keep your old fighter. I'd just prefer you pilot the Wasp, due to your old one not having a specific function the Wasp does possess. The Wasp, unlike your current one can take control should you be knocked unconscious, pass out, be drugged, or drunk. " Jeff paused for a moment and considered what she said. "You're right on the Repulsors of course. I'll let you decide the method of propulsion. Anyway ultimately you're allowed to buy anything you want. Just try to pilot the Wasp here on Tatooine okay? I'm also gonna allow you to sell the Wasp. "

Silara gave [member="Jeff Solaris"] a questioning look - she had no idea where the sudden change in topic was coming from - and then went back to editing the schematics she had on her datapad, adjusting for the size and volume, and removed a few design flaws. Glancing back up at the holograms of the three vehicles presented to her, she furrowed her brow for a moment, but then nodded and sighed, scribbling furiously on the pad before adjusting the blueprints for the vehicle again. "Alright, rather than a jet at the rear for a short burst of speed, there will be two propellers that have a cover over then for when they are above water. The front will have retractable transparisteel covers in place of windows, as they're light enough and still sturdy enough for submersing." She explained, making a few more hasty adjustments before removing a small attachment from the top of the datapad she held, clicking a button on it to activate the holoprojector and display the schematics above it - at a much smaller size compared to the other holograms in the room.

"Impressive. Your design seems like it will indeed work. Once it is created, one of the prototypes will be sent with you for immediate mass production, and working out the kinks. The other prototype will also be sent with you to work the kinks out of. Once you've done that, the prototype not given for mass production will be sent back to me personally. I do happen to require a transport. " Jeff paused for a moment and considered. She was a good individual. "I've also decided to give you a limited production license to make Wasp Fighters. That way you have more than one product at your disposal that needs to get out there anyway. Your design will be immediately implemented once you're finished and the prototypes will be created, and then sent off with you to fix the bugs of them. Once you've corrected any flaws, one prototype will be sent back here immediately to me. Oh and thanks for working with me on this project Silara."
