- With a variety of benefits, the AU-3 serves as more than a simple blood supplement, superimposed on existing cellular structure and bloodstreams - but as the inevitable extension of bio-organic technologies. Able to transport immense amounts of oxygen, and deliver it with extreme fidelity, the "Ichor" serves as an objective requirement for tomorrow's soldiers - able to keep them fighting far longer, faster, and even survive without oxygen for much longer than otherwise possible.

- The 'Ichor' serves as more than just a means to combat and athletic efficiency, but as an upgrade to the body's natural healing means. Able to seal wounds with accelerated impunity, fight back diseases as volatile as Blackwing, and even target damaged RNA & DNA from the likes of radiation or genetic disease, the AU-3 can ensure a combat medic comparable service in the exact moment of injury; a highly sought after trait for the majority of the Galaxy's armies.
- Sith Blood -
- While the blood has few drawbacks for the conventional soldier, for those of a high force potential the AU-3 can restrict their potency in the Force. This occurs due to it replacing large portions of bone marrow, blood cells, and various weak vein walls. This restricts the usage of the artificial blood to those of less potentially powerful persuasion.
- Blood of the Gods -
- While powerful, it reduces natural blood count and does not replicate naturally. If and when blood loss occurs in the field, the effectiveness of the blood is diminished - and while it can transport an immense amount of oxygen, if enough blood is lost there will be no way to recover it without a transplant of AU-3 specifically acclimated to the individual. Other blood transfusions would fail due to the learned reliance the body would have on the 'Ichor'.
After the recurring genocides caused by the Bryn’adul, the IGBC had requested a new soldier program from Jaeger. Jaeger, having once drawn up various plans for a super soldier program years prior, decided that putting ideas to paper had been done enough - and the first step in their plan was set in motion. By developing a nanogene based artificial blood, Jaeger committed itself to the creation of tomorrow’s soldier.
Able to transport exponentially more oxygen, and deliver it with extremely high fidelity - the AU-3 works on a very simple premise to increase combat effectiveness. By providing muscles and organs with the amount of oxygen that it does, the muscles are able to perform for longer periods of time at far higher strain - while also helping to heal them when they are damaged.
Through its comprehensive medical package, the AU-3 also helps resist a multitude of neurotoxins, foreign nanoegenes, genetic diseases, and more; even able to repair broken DNA strands in the situation of radiation or foreign nanogene damage. Add on its ability to quickly seal cuts and wounds, the AU-3 has a long list of benefits - but even so, it does carry some negatives.
First and foremost is that Force Users are almost entirely excluded from the use of the nanogene. Instead, they will lose large degrees of their force potential without a secondary material alternative as seen in certain cybernetics packages. Additionally, losing large quantities of blood can see semi-permanent issues with the victim. This is due to the fact that the artificial blood does not replace itself - rather a specialized, acclimated, AU-3 must be used to replace any lost nanogene. Without it, the victim would suffer sickness comparable to having the wrong blood type tranfused.
Overall, the AU-3 serves as a foundation for a future super soldier program Jaeger has yet to announce publicly; while also serving as a future product bought by the galaxies militaries. Soon to be essential on every market in every sector - and often in the hands of criminals of every disposition.
