Description:
With the creation of the ARC (augmented reality contacts) for a more civilian and agent use, Stargo Defense Enterprises decided to cash in on the coming wave of augmented tech and focus on bringing it to the front lines of the galaxy that is constantly at war. So through many months of developing and reworking a more durable product, In comes the Augmented Warfighter Visor or AWV for short.
This visor operates on the same level as the ARC units and has a connection to the holonet that aids and assists it in the duties of providing rapid and reliable information to the operators on the ground or in the sky. It can provide simple but life saving information such as maps, waypoints, trajectory of objects, speed, and can even count and track how many bullets or bolts are left in your weapon. Combine with the Augmented Shooting Tool for the best results.
The AWV can bring to the operator a constant stream to the holonet, and using this can be crucial in unlocking it's full capability. It can facial scan and help identify individuals if they have a criminal record or dredge up anything it can from the holonet through facial recognition software. Or simply type in a name and the AWV will do it's best to drag up info, however it is a big galaxy and you are bound to run across incorrect data. This is not a full proof way to help identify individuals but more as a helpful resource. However scans on most mass produced weapons can be brought up and display the enemies firepower. This of course only works on common weapons such as blasters and rifles. Unique force weapons such as sith swords, force imbued blades, or personal custom made gear will not come up on the information stream.
The visor can also mark targets for he user using friendly IFF tags to mark friends. And if a unidentified person holding a weapon comes into view the system will mark them as a potential threat with a yellow outline where the user can then confirm or not if they are friendly which will then change over to red or green as long as that person remains in the line of sight.
This tool provides the warfighter of tomorrow with the tools today. It will compete with and outshine even primitive mandalorian technology and it can even update your Spacebook while you surf the net. But sadly it does have it's drawbacks. It is highly venerable to EMPs and other ion based attacks, a few ion bolts will fry it and knock it offline. And since it is connected to the holonet a slicer can get past encryptions and give false information and objectives of simply shut it down. All and all this is a more militaristic version of the ARC and while it has a few more added flavors focusing on combat it essentially performs the same.
