STRENGTHS
- It is hot in here: A unique use of the scythe is when focused upon, will summon pyrokinesis power to extend from the scythe itself. Like hot hell like fireballs, or even small ‘slashes’ of flames that can be tossed by the user. These flames can act as a secondary weapon, or a defensive tool.
- Will of the Gods: Empowered with enough blood to fill a river, countless victims fell prey to this weapon, the Auksifas became a symbol of hate. Its runes siguls carved in the blade, made the weapon, alongside its Songsteel material into a weapon nearly indestructible; able to stop lightning but does not channel it back, it can block lightsabers, deflect blaster, and many things that a lightsaber can do, all thanks to elf magicka, a fancy way of calling the ancient arts of the Sith performed by the elzeri. It’s basically a lightsaber, except more sturdy and more ‘delicate’ in its design and construction.
- Glutton: Its runes, carved in the blade made the Auksifas into a ‘hungry blade’, all the blood that is spilled in the weapon disappears inside it. Feeding and storing that power to enhances its durability, the scythe remains always clean for having no need for being sharpened thanks to the poloshing it has received with svolten ryholite.
- A Singer: When wielded, the blade gives off small and beautiful melodies, almost like small notes played on a fiddle. Some historians said that this was the sword singing, and communicating with others. The weapon can prove to be quite the horrible sight as it came rushing down at necks, singing as it does it.
WEAKNESSES
- The Light in Darkness: As any item made from sith arts, the Auksifas suffers in its ability to resist the Light. While it can work its magic against a light side user and bring its wielder, the issue becomes when it faces light side empowered abilities, such as force light, that would destroy the artifact entirely.
- Concentration: Using the force to summon its famous flaming skills is not a easy task. It requires constant focus and energy from the user, so that he can be able to control its skills. Only someone with a concentration thought to be as powerful as a master can permit the blade from reaching its full potential, while also using the force from their own body each time the skill is used. This draining-the-user skill from the weapon has to be stopped, unless the weapon will suck you dry.
- Soul buddies: A drop of blood is required for the weapon to truly recognizes you as its master, however, if the weapon is destroyed or harmed, the same will happen to the user. A piece of its soul will be destroyed, causing such pain as never felt before and we all know what happens next.
- Slashing!: Despite being light, very light considering its size, something which songsteel is famous for doing, its lenght and shape all attribute to something too wide and ‘crude’ for most duelists to wield in battle. Lacking the finesse and precision of smaller weapons, and making movements somewhat predictable.
- Force Negation: As with most sith weaponry or force imbued weapon, any contact with any kind of Voidstone, Voidsteel, or nullification bubble such as the ysalamir can dampen, or temporarily remove the capabilities of the weapon. While the Songsteel can still retain its durability, the ‘special’ skills which the weapon is famous for are all but nullified.
- I can see you: When holding this scythe, its hunger is strong enough to be found through the force, or be felt by Force users. Thus hiding would be very difficult, also, its a giant golden scythe, not something too hard to be found in any kind of situation.
DESCRIPTION
To speak about the tale of the Auksifas is to speak about Noah fon Rozarrian. Descendant of an ancient lineage of the elzeri, of those who traced their lineage to the first colonizers who rode on their floatillas to navigate the galaxy, their family had once been the Dukes of the second most powerful duchy on their planet in the days that Exar Kun occupied the mantle of Dark Lord of the Sith, but there, for his people, they were sure to be chosen for ascending the position of kings on the throne of their planet, but after terrible court intrigues regarding small debts made by his grandfather, his father became entwined in a terrible and bloody war with the other Dukes of their planet, which soon resulted in the collapse of their House, they lost their properties, fortunes and everything else they valued, except for a large piece of songsteel that the father had kept, a statue in the shape of your home symbol. Young Noah grew up in poverty, he was raised by his widowed mother with the savings left by his father, as he had been killed during the war that had started.
Growing up with tales of the glories of the days that occupied a prestigious position, demoted to little more than the position of commoners. The mother saw Noah's promise, she arranged for him tutors and a Sith lord named Maerlyn to educate him about life and the Force, as soon as he reached adulthood, his mother committed suicide and Noah was left alone in that world with his master. Some say the boy was taken to be introduced and trained on planets of the Sith Empire, others say that Noah fought krayt dragons to prove his worth, but when he returned to his planet, Noah brought a huge silver scythe with him on his back. One he said his master forged alongside him in exchange for a piece of a old statue he had.
He challenged the nobleman who had killed his father to a singular duel, Duke Margrave laughed with scorn at the young man, but accepted the challenge. He sent his champion to face him and Noah did little with him, killing him easily, laughing at his corpse and mocking Duke Margrave.
"Is this the best you have to offer, my Duke?", Margrave sent more champions, the captain of his guard, his own elite guard, and his two eldest sons to face Noah, but in front of him and his scythe, everyone fell, falling bloody on against him in the arena and every time someone died, he repeated the same question to Duke Margrave and Margrave offended him. Perhaps tired of the weak challenges that were presented, or perhaps just for fun, Noah showed the power of his weapon, lifting it high and exerting its power, throwing a fireball at Duke Margrave, burning him alive, for later set his entire property on fire and kill his entire line, with the exception of his youngest son.
The king of the planet then arrested Noah and brought him before him. Some say that perhaps impressed by the boy's resolve to exercise his vengeance was the reason not to execute him, but to adorn a black robe on his shoulders and appoint him as one of the protectors of his empire. He became the Highlord Gabranth, his majesty's servant to kill his enemies when ordered, and this he did, for centuries thanks to the elzeri's long life, Gabranth was launched against several enemies of his rulers, spilling the blood of rebels, pirates , jedis, sith, creatures, friends and vassals alike with their scythe. He served three rulers and died old even by the standards of his people, but before he passed away, he buried the infamous sickle that he always carried with him.
Auksifas remained buried with him for millennia, and perhaps after so many years hungry under the ground, hidden in a dark crypt, it was what made the scythe wake up from its sleep and start playing its melody in search of someone to hear his voice and brought what to eat again. On her search for power, Lunafreya tracked down the old legend and dug up his grave, desecrating his bones and claiming his scythe for her. She bathed the weapon in liquid gold, and gave her a new name; 'Goldenreaper'.
