Aurodium-Cortosis-Weave Armor Mk II - Blinking again...

Makeb, a lush, green planet. It was the first time that Odeyseis visited the planet in hope that he could find the Sith holocron. Odeyseis, wearing his Jedi robe, jumped down from his ship carrying his broken Aurodium-Cortosis-Weave armor, after getting out of the hangar, the first thing he saw is the breath-taking view that a balcony offered. Odeyseis had been living for years in Yavin 4, but he knew that Makeb was different from Yavin 4, the moon consisted mostly of jungle, but in Makeb there weren't too much trees to block the beautiful view.

After enjoying the view, the Jedi knight decided to start looking for the holocron by asking the local authorities for a pod that, by any chance, had landed in the surface of Makeb. He started in the settlements, and he decided to finish asking in the city, but, unfortunately for the Sentinel, luck wasn't in his side, no pod had been detected landing in Makeb.

Disappointed, Odeyseis decided to finish the day to go to a local cantina that was suggested by a Weequay that Odeyseis talked in one of the settlements to relax. It was night time already, the Jedi knight was walking in the streets to the bar, still carrying his golden and black armor. He always took the armor wherever he went to find someone who could repair it.

"Where are you taking me now?" Odeyseis, surprised because of the unexpected voice, turned to see that it was Kaira in her Force Ghost form, her long dead and loved friend, each time that he saw her, he felt pain of not saving her in that day that she died in the hands of one of the clan mates who turned to the Dark Side. "You scared me, Kaira" said Odeyseis, exhaling while saying it.

She giggled and continued: "Sorry, I didn't meant to, but you haven't answered my question." Odeyseis stopped and turned to the bar that he was looking for, the Tumbling Trandoshan. "Here?" Kaira said when she stopped too in a disgusted way and continued, "Odey, you know that drinking is not part of being a Jedi and this bar looks... Seedy..." When Odeyseis heard what the ghost said, he laughed and told her: "Don't be a hypocrite, you're the one who induce me to have fun and relax like this."

Odeyseis entered the bar, and he was received by all the customers by staring at the Jedi as soon as he entered. As the Sentinel realized he was being watched by everyone in the bar, he was asking himself if they were looking at him because they never seen a Jedi in there before... Or it was because of the glowy and broken armor that he was carrying, either way, he was more thirsty than worried about it, so the Jedi proceeded to take a seat.

A droid approached to Odeyseis and it started to spoke to him: "What do you want?" Odeyseis, not losing any second, answered immediately: "Bring me the cheapest beer, please." The droid turned away without saying anything else. By then, everybody resumed to their drinkings and chatting, but still Odeyseis was observing his surroundings to see if anything was suspicious. "Nothing for me, you rude boy?" Odeyseis turned at the source of the voice, recognizing that it was Kaira again sitting over the other chair. Odeyseis answered: "Kaira, I'm the only one who can see and hear you, it will be strange to order a drink to... Nobody, as they can see."

The bluish spirit continued talking: "Well, I didn't really wanted a drink from this place, I told you it was seedy, even the droids here are ruder than you." Now that she mentioned it, Odeyseis realized why did he listened to that Weequay.

Colap had been enduring a long day of meetings and security briefings on local swoop gangs by his informants. As sergeant at Arms for the Ravens it was important for him to keep up on the affairs of the underworld across the Ravens territory. Today was another boring day, save a few clashes between swoop gangs, none of which had any lasting impact.

"Barman, a correlian whiskey!"

"Aye buddy, here ya are."

Colap scooped up the glass and slammed it, placing it back on the dull wooden bar with a thunk. He lit a cigar and it sat in the corner of his mouth, blazing away indiscriminately as he leaned back on the bar. His elbow found the table and he just leaned, and thought. A creeping feeling was gnawing at him though.

It was the familiar instinct he usually got when forcers were around. An instinct that led his eyes to wander as he squinted through the smoke and strained his ears through the din of the local dockworkers pissing away their creds.

There it was a man in brown cloak. He was alone and from the sights of it looked quite paranoid. Colap had heard of men in brown cloaks, they called them Jedi, and they usually were not welcome in the Ravens territories.

"What have we here?" He muttered to himself, walking slowly over to the man. He was dressed in a tan tunic with a brown dirty vest of bantha leather. His gunbelt hung low on his hips, dangling a single Westar-35....

"Howdy partner, what brings you to these parts?"

While the knight was vigilant, a man started to walk where Odeyseis was sitting. The man had brown hair, facial hair of the same color, using a tunic, and over it, a vest.

"Howdy partner, what brings you to these parts?" said the man to the Jedi.

Oh, great... Odeyseis mused, thinking that this man was too drunk and that he was about to ask him to gave up the goldish armor, like it had happened in the past; but, somehow, Odeyseis thought that he was different from the others, but he didn't know what it was.

"He is one of us..." the Sentinel used his eyes to see if Kaira was still sitting over the chair beside him, but, as always, she vanished after the knight heard her. He returned his eyes to the man standing in front of Odeyseis. Odeyseis then sensed a tiny spark of the Force within the man, Indeed, Kaira.

Still, Odeyseis decided to avoid any violence before it could happen by saying to the man the first thing what came to the Jedi's mind: "Look, I just finished my drink, I'll just go and won't cause you any trouble." Odeyseis reached for the broken armor, but suddenly, the droid of the bar approached to the Sentinel's table, leaving over it the drink that Odeyseis ordered, making it obvious what the knight said a lie.

Odeyseis stopped when he saw the drink being delivered, then notice that the man was looking at the drink, then the armor, then back to the Jedi. More embarrassed than disappointed, Odeyseis decided to tell the truth this time: "I'm looking for someone who could repair this armor for me..." the Jedi looked at his drink and said quickly returning his gaze over the man: "And have a drink."

The Jedi knight was hoping to see that this man was friendly enough to, at least, take a sit and ask the Jedi to buy him a drink out of his drunkenness, if he even was drunk. "Want to take a sit... Partner?"

"Armor eh?"

Colap looked him over up close. Yep definitely a Jedi. But that was not the really the point. The man had asked for help with the armor and Colap happened to be looking for things to do in his spare time so he sat and ordered another drink leaning back in the chair and putting his hands interlocked behind his head.

"Dont get many jedi folks out here. What kinda armor we talkin? I got a nice shop but I don't have any crazy rare materials. If ya got the pieces I can put em back together though."

The man took the sit, he even offered to help the Jedi, this was unexpected for Odeyseis, he was so glad it didn't turn out ugly this time around. Odeyseis proceeded to answer the man's question: "Cortosis armor," he took the armor and put it over the table while levitating his drink so it could not be pushed away because of the armor and continued talking looking at the armor, "most probably it'll be needing cortosis to repair it, which I don't have, it even got some aurodium in it but that one is not important. I can't part with this armor, it saved me from death once, it'll be foolish to do so."

Odeyseis' attention turned to the man and realized that it was time to introduce since he was now offering his help, "Odeyseis Dryar is my name." Odeyseis took the floating drink this time with his hand and took a sip from it, waiting for the man's reply.

"Pleasure to meet you. Hate to say it man but I don’t have any cortosis as that is a very rare commodity around these parts."

Colap thought long and hard, letting his cigar continue to smoke. How could he save the mans projects. The answer was he really couldn't, it was lacking the main ingredient.

"Can you get your hands on some?"

The knight heard the man, Odeyseis took another sip from his cheap bear while the man asked him if he could get cortosis and the knight replied:

"I could, but I don't really know where..." Odeyseis took a moment to sink in his thoughts about how he could get cortosis, then proceeded to suggest: "I'm sure that you have some enemies around here somewhere, or near the system. Criminal organizations that I'm sure they have that... Very rare commodity, smuggling around here. I suggest this..." Odeyseis put his beer over the table and continued: "We could wreak havoc your enemies smuggling operations, even maybe put an end to their business, we get the cortosis from them, you help me to fix the armor, and we keep half from the remaining cortosis. What do you say?"

This is where Odeyseis' negotiations skills were used again after years of not using it, he knew that this man should have some enemies, he had the face of a mercenary and of short of friends. Odeyseis was all about helping him to bring down an evil organization as long as the man in vest would help him back. Odeyseis waited for his reply.

Colap laughed and took another sip of his drink. For a Jedi the kid was ambitious. Even offering to wage war on Colaps enemies. this was welcome change of pace from all that force this force that crap. The only force Colap used was the force of his fist bashing in someone’s skull.

"That's a neat idea, but we'd have to find someone who actually has the stuff on hand. Maybe the suns but I wouldn’t know where."

Colap had another idea though and pulled out his datapad, shooting a quick message to [member="Cryax Bane"].

[Hey Colap here, got a potential sale but lacking Cortosis. Can you find out if the Suns or any other storehouses might have it?"]

"Y'know there is one other place we could look. There's a lot of pirates on the Tortuga space station. I dunno if ya ever heard of it, but It's near Nal Hutta. One of the captains there might have something."

Cryax, sitting in a business meeting with some Nal Hutta drug lords, felt his Datapad vibrating again. There were two messages waiting for him, one from his boyfriend which merely contained an explicit Holo. That one he shut off as soon as it started, apologizing profusely to the drug lords. The other was from the Red Ravens Seargent At Arms [member="Colap Ticon"] asking about getting some Cortosis. Holding up a blue-skinned finger to the men and women around his table, he quickly typed a response.

Receiving: Text message from Cryax Bane
To: Colap Ticon
//Message incoming://

Wzzp CT,

lmee txt my bffs at the BS
/sarcasm I'll C wt I can do
Y do U need?

//End message//

Easy. Odeyseis knew that this man will have a positive answer for his suggestion. The knight knew that attacking the pirates will be dangerous, but he have fought stronger and more organized enemies in the past, pirates shouldn't be much harder.

While the mercenary typed in his datapad, Odeyseis replied to his question:
"Never heard of Tortuga." Indeed, he had never heard of it, in all in his travels and in his past missions to bring down pirate stations, he had never heard of that one. "We could go there to pay a visit, I'm sure they could yield anything if they are being threatened to be shut down by a Jedi."

Colap laughed again. He was ambitious but he had to reign it in. He raised an eyebrow at the young man.

"We might need to get some help. You realize Tortuga is THE spot for all pirates. It's a giant station housed deep in Black sun terrtitory."

Odeyseis heard the man say is the spot of all pirates in Black Sun territory, now that's more like it. More likely to find what Odeyseis is looking for. When the mysterious man said that they would be needing help, the knight asked: "What kind of help?" The Jedi was imagining a team that the mercenary would gather, strike the station, get everything what they needed and get out. It sounded easy, but it was in Black Sun territory after all. Everybody knew that pirates from the Black Sun wasn't a baby that you could snatch his candy and eat it without any problems. Not at all, it was like trying to snatch a bark rat from a big pack of nexus.
