SETTING INFORMATION
- Structure Name: Aurora Industries Corporate Headquarters
- Classification: Business headquarters
- Location: Erilnar
- Affiliation: Aurora Industries, Taeli Raaf as CEO
- Accessibility: The headquarters is easy to access, either by speeder, the underwater transportation system hub nearby, or from a ship landing at designated landing pads. The public and designated visitors are allowed access to certain areas of the campus, but need clearances to go to more restricted areas such as the development labs.
- Security: The headquarters is protected by a detachment of Aurora Industries' own security force, along with plenty of cameras and sensors. Restricted sections and turbolifts require proper clearance codes to access, along with biometric information such as retinal and DNA scans. The development labs and company servers are kept deep underwater in the lakes around the campus, only accessible from the sub bay underneath the building. Access to this sub bay is highly restricted, and if unauthorized persons try to reach this point, security turrets will deploy to disintegrate them.
- Description: At a glance, the company building is a blend of Coruscanti and Mon Calamarian architecture, with plenty of aesthetically pleasing curves and transparisteel windows. It is relatively low to the ground as a soaring skyscraper was deemed unsafe.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Taeli Raaf's Office: Located on the top floor of the building, Taeli maintains an office here that has a large sweeping window that looks out over the whole campus. It is richly decorated with plenty of art depicting historical events on the walls and a few sculptures of significant figures in galactic history, and secretly, Sith history. The office also has a secure connection to all Aurora facilities both on and off planet.
Underwater Labs: The most secure section of the headquarters is the labs located in the famous lakes of the world that surround it. These development labs are where Aurora Industries scientists and engineers develop prototype technologies under the watchful eye of Taeli Raaf herself that are then sent out to other Aurora facilities to utilize in their projects. Rumors persist of an even more secret lab devoted to research that Taeli carries out on her own or with a small cadre of trusted beings.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Following her departure from the One Sith before their collapse, Taeli Raaf and her company, then named Krayt Industries, had decided to move all of their operations out of Sith controlled space. Desiring a quieter corner of the galaxy to establish the new corporate headquarters, Taeli and her Board of Engineers decided on the world of Erilnar, capital of the Centrality, to serve as the host for their new headquarters. Purchasing land and several of the lakes surrounding the parcel they had obtained, Aurora Industries began construction of their campus.
The new headquarters, designed along a fusion of Coruscanti and Mon Calamarian architecture, would be the central point for the Aurora facilities scattered around the galaxy. The headquarters itself is nothing special, playing host to those that are the necessary lifeblood to run a corporation as large as Aurora Industries. Landing pads lie on the outer edges of the campus, along with a beautifully designed station for Erilnar's underwater monorail system. Meticulously maintained grounds surround the campus, giving the workers there a pleasing view to look out on.
The most important parts however are the development labs that Aurora built within the lakes around the campus, accessible only by the sub bay built under the actual corporate building. These labs play host to Aurora's prototype divisions, with many of their key technical breakthroughs coming from these labs.
