- Stopping Power - The NIO-04 is a powerful pistol with a higher rate of fire than an actual stopping power. With enough power to pierce a hole through body armor, with hyper-ionized shots found to be especially devastating against droid while retaining its lethality against organic beings with enough to kill an sentient being at ease.
- Silent and Invisible - NIO-04 is equipped with a sound suppressor unit and an optional stealth function, which used refined tibanna gas mixture that makes the NIO-04 laser bolts invisible to the naked eye. Created by the careful hands of Automatron by the use of an dangerous model of technology. The NIO-04 was constructed as a secondary weapon for the Shadowtroopers, the soldiers that formed the ranks of the Dyarchy, Lunafreya's Sector on the New Imperial Order. The sidearm proved to be far deadlier than the engineers could ever wonder, as its invisible and almost soundless bolts showed the perspective of a growing demand in the underworld and other 'less' moral sides of the galaxy. By using TibannaX as the main component for its ammunition type, Automatron tried its best to replicate other stealth blasters on the galaxy, only to discover they could create something entirely new.
Using their skills, the masters of Automatron's engineering area have improved the rating of fire in a pistol, while thickening its material to solidify the bolt inside the barrel before releasing it in a soundless act, unleashing an nearly invisible blast that proved to be enough for it to be carried in a battlefield by special soldiers.
