STRENGTHS
- Acid Pulse - The NIO-07 uses Trauger Gas in his liquid form to fill its glass canister and weaponize it. The acid on the glass is transformed internally allowing this weapon to fire pulses of concentrated acid capable of liquefying the most resistant of metals, and when contact with a living being the trauger gas is known to cause severe nerve damage and usually resulted in the loss of any limb it came into contact with.
- Acid Stream - NIO-07 can fire up to twenty times of powerful streams of the corrosive substance. This substance is more than capable of corroding its way through metals and easily eat through organic material, however, the range the streams can be launched cause this weapon to be used only in a personal distance from its mark, only capable of firing for up to twenty meters.
- Cooling Delays - Cooling of this weapon is mandatory for a five seconds period after being reloaded. Trying to use this weapon without respecting its cooling can cause the internal components to warp and make turn this weapon completely useless.
- Low Range - Due to the consistency of the material employed by this weapon, its range lacks coverage over a large area.
- Drops - DO NOT LET IT DRIP ON YOU. A single drop of this fluid is more than enough to eat through most footwear and burn down your feet.
- Expensive - The ammunition on this rifle is considered very expensive due to its rarity.
- Durability - This weapon needs constant maintenance in order to preform correctly, without proper maintenance the user will risk catastrophic weapon failure in which the weapon will leak its content all around the wearer.
- Fragile - The glass surrounding the acid is very fragile, don't bump it, don't shake it too much and don't hit it.
Created by the careful hands of Automatron by the use of an dangerous model of technology. The NIO-07 was constructed with the intention of becoming a secondary weapon for the Shadowtroopers, the soldiers that formed the ranks of the Dyarchy, Lunafreya's Sector on the New Imperial Order, however, that intention failed miserably as the weapon not only became too expensive for the Financial Division to approve, but too dangerous for the common soldier to wield. This rifle proved to be far deadlier than the engineers could ever wonder, as its corrosive bolts showed the perspective of a growing demand in the underworld and other 'less' moral sides of the galaxy.
Using their skills, the masters of Automatron's engineering area have improved the rating of fire in a pistol, while thickening its material to solidify the bolt inside the barrel before releasing it in a soundless act, unleashing an nearly invisible blast that proved to be enough for it to be carried in a battlefield by special soldiers.
"Its structural perfection is only matched by its lethality.", that was what the Duchess said before signing up the contract on behalf of the New Imperial Army.
To deliver such weapon in the hands of a murderer like Lunafreya Solidor, and worse, to that bunch of fanatic warlords that the New Imperial Order was famous for hosting. They almost destroyed this creation, tried to burn every holodisk and every data regarding this construction, but they halted. Perhaps due to fear, perhaps loyalty, they didn't know then and they still don't know now.
